Always, responds in a timely manner. Gives us different options and pricing and keeps us up to date on status of things pending. Not sure why this says I'm from San Francisco, I'm in Elk Grove. Absolutely the worst Agent and State Farm is the worst Insurance company I have ever delt with. I was stranded in a snowstorm (13 degrees) for 6 1/2 hours waiting for a tow truck. 4 hours in, they said I cancelled the tow truck, really?? I was 6 blocks from the repair facility. I couldn't talk to the same person each time I contacted them. I logged 37 different people I had to talk to. My agent, Chris Gandy, would not even call me back to help me. Now 6 months later, the repairs done were done improperly and Chris and State Farm won't do a thing to help me. To this day, Chris has never contacted me, even after I requested a call several times, I've gone into his office several times and he is never there. The only shining light in this company is Amber who works the front office. Do not use this agent (Chris) or company (State Farm)!!!! read more

Our family has been using Chris Gandy's office for about 5 years now. Everyone has been extremely helpful with our needs, changes, and questions. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Cheyenna going over changes in the homeowners policy and getting it set up correctly for our house. It was honestly a great 20 minutes that could have been horribly boring, but she was so nice to talk to and very informative. I have been with Chris Gandy's office since 1998. I have several policies covering cars, a motorcycle, house and an umbrella policy. I moved last year (2017) an hours drive from his office yet I will remain with his office. I bought a truck two years ago which turned out to be a lemon. The manufacturer purchased the truck and gave me a complete refund. I called Linda at Chris Gandy's office about a loan for another truck. The interest rate is competitive and it includes Gap insurance. What really seals it is the customer service from Linda time and time again. Linda not only completed the paper work in a few hours, she drove an hour to the dealership (After She got off work) at about 7pm to drop off the check so I could complete the purchase. When I explained what was going on to the sales lady at the dealership and told her that Linda was bringing the check to us she replied, "Wow, thats customer service". I've had State Farm for about 5 years and I receive stellar service from Linda Luethy each time I need State Farm's assistance. She is knowledgable and helpful. Linda has gone above the call of duty. Recently, I bought a new car on Mother's Day and she provided me with coverage instantly (on her day off). Horrible service when you are finally able to get a hold of someone and even that's after you call customer service because the agents office never answers the phone. I requested insurance cards a month ago haven't received them the girl in the office couldn't seem to inform me of my address and the price she quoted me a month ago when I removed a vehicle from my policy is different from what their website is telling me and it's also different from what she is telling me now. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AGENT TO ANYONE.... Unless you don't ever want to reach anybody when you call and when you do encounter them they are just rude. read more

I switched to State Farm (Chris Gandy in Elk Grove) less than one year ago, after having received unsatisfactory service from previous insurance agencies. Since switching to State Farm, I always receive prompt, efficient, and courteous service from this office. I have primarily worked with Linda Luethy. She is very professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She is able to take care of whatever I need usually within one phone call. I am especially impressed with the number of times I have called and she has answered the phone. I rarely need to leave a message, but if I do she has called me back within the hour. Business has really gone down the toilet. Chris pays zero attention to his customers - and I have been one for over 20 years. When, and if, you ever get a return phone call it is pretty clear that morale there is in the tank too. Really too bad but I will take my business elsewhere. read more
