I recently got their help to get better priced insurance, which they did and the guy who helped me out, Steven, he was nice but after the first day I saw red flags. Once he was done he just ghosted me until a week later when my auto pay didn't go through and he had to ask me if it was okay to recharge. After that, I got ghosted again. A couple days after that I texted him cuz I had a quick question...no answer. Yesterday again I reached out cuz I had another question, and guess what, again no answer. I am writing this because I just want to let anyone that might using this insurance company as their broker to be aware this person named PJ MHAILI is a big LIAR... 2 mons ago I asked him to question changing policy on my insurance because foremost insurance just went really high on my monthly payment! This guy lied to me and gave me new insurance company even though my previous insurance company just processed auto payment. He told me that I could get my money back and use different insurance company until later on I received a letter from the collection agency stating that owe them money from cancelling my policy. When in fact, I have not used my first month of policy renewal. Now I am having with issue with my current insurance company because the driven insurance company representative failed to send the photos of my vehicle so they actually canceled my policy just because of the photo which clearly their fault. My insurance charge me $20 for reinstating my policy ( which completely fault of driven insurance stuff due to failure to send vehicle photos). They cost me so much hassle and coz now the dmv suspended my car registration until my insurance company send reinstate policy. It's going to cost me $14 to reinstate my car registration. I am a single mom who needs every penny to support my kids but this company has to be so incompetent to provide customer satisfaction!!!! Cancelled my car insurance today! I went to pay my bill and they up'd my bill by $30. I called them to ask what was going on and they told me that the car insurance law in Arizona changed! false! Then they said that they sent me paperwork to be signed and I never signed it! false again, I never received any paperwork! Then she said that she could get my premium back but still it was $10 more a month then what I pay! I told her to give me back my premium because this was their mistake not mine! Or, I was going to cancel my insurance and go someplace else! She couldn't do that she said I never signed the papers! And the notes on her computer show that the papers were sent to me on February 6th! Nope, February 6th is the day I got the insurance and paid $63.61 then on March 6th I paid my regular payment of $58.14. Now April 1st they want $78.46 a month! Do not go through Dairyland! Absolute thieves. I had this insurance for a month and paid over $400 up front. Cancelled because I found better coverage at a lower premium (twice the coverage for less than what I paid to Driven) and the new insurance company DID NOT ask me to pay up front. That should be a red flag right there I guess! Anyway, I cancelled and a week and a half later I received a cancellation acknowledgment letter that says my refund will be $43.62. So they kept well over $400 for what exactly?? Stay FAR, FAR away from this company and the agent, Andrew Charles Santiago. It might be helpful if the number listed on the form --- (916) 512-6914, actually was a number you could leave a voicemail at but clearly Melissa (who the voicemail belongs to) doesn't understand how to maintain her mailbox or clear them out on a regular basis. One star is overly generous. UPDATE AS OF 22 November 2017 I called driven insurance again and finally reached a live person. I asked her if I could speak to someone about the minuscule refund I was apparently getting. She put me on hold and about five minutes later she comes back on the line and says the agent is unavailable but she was told that the amount in the letter is the prorated amount I was due. So when I pressed her further about that being an absolutely ludicrous answer, she said they no longer have any of my paperwork to refer to because I've cancelled the policy. When asked if they destroy the records of every customer who cancels, she referred me to the "actual" insurer- Foremost Insurance. So this is starting to make sense... I asked her if Driven Insurance was a broker and not a direct insurance provider, why didn't they disclose that when I spoke to them a month ago.... she couldn't provide an answer. I further explained to her that had I been made aware they were a broker, they would have had to disclose any breakdown of broker fees plus the actual insurance premium...not to mention the insurance company. Again no answer. I called the number for Foremost Insurance. I spoke to a very pleasant woman who was able to bring my canceled policy right up. When I asked her why I was getting duck a tiny refund she told me that they were giving me most of the money back. She showed the policy being $76 for the year! I said, "what in the hell happened to the remaining $220 I paid?" She had no clue since they only received $76 dollars. She offered to conference me in with Driven which I fully agreed to. I was connected to Melissa at Driven and I thought the other woman from Foremost was going to remain on the line but she merely connected us. Anyway I ask Melissa to explain what I had been trying to get an answer on...she puts me on hold and I'd say about 3-4 minutes goes by and the hold music stopped. I spoke into the phone thinking someone might have come back on the line...but I was actually disconnected. Of course I was! I called back and say I was just cut off while speaking to Melissa and I was asked to hold for a minute. Five minutes goes by and the line goes dead again. Rather than call back I just called my banking institution and filed a fraud alert against the merchant. Waiting to find out what kind of rebuttal the merchant comes up with. read more

Unfortunately, I obtained a policy through them after purchasing a new vehicle, then that same night I come to find out I already had coverage with ins company we have our home owners insurance. I had already paid $180.40 to Driven for a policy with Kemper ins. I did not sign docs emailed to me that night, following morning I called to cancel due to double coverage. For starters I got attitude, I did everything they asked in order to get this policy canceled even tho I never signed just paid. This was 3 wks ago and I have yet to receive a refund. Haven't been able to get anyone to call me back or help with this. So I contacted Kemper insurance since policy was established with them. They said they received payment of $100.40 and that Driven requested refund be given to them bc they never collected any monies from me which is a lie bc I have receipt. I spoke to CS at Driven informed them of this, they stated I needed to speak to Martha Garcia, I've left her various messages bc she never answers and no call back and no refund!!! read more

I recently signed up with Driven auto insurance at the time I signed up with them they're rates were ok not the cheapest but reasonable. How ever I happened to find another company that was cheaper by $50 or mth so naturally I switched the company that I switched to informed me that I will be getting a refund for the remainder of my payment. And this is where everything with Driven went down hill from representative to representative. I called them after around 10 to ask them where was my refund and they switched me over to a rep. from Kemper insurance. Kemper told me they ll mail my refund out that day.. I told her that was great but then I find out the refund is $100 short. So I call the rep. that signed me up with Driven and she then tells me that the extra $100 I paid was for an early cancellation I be never heard of such a thing so I asked for a supervisor she said he was in a meeting and he'll call you back so I waited for a few hours and called back and they said to supervisor would call me back later and he never did. So I called again the next day and was put on hold for 35 mins so I hung up and called back 3 more times and finally got a rep on the phone. I told him what had happened and was wondering where the$100 that Kemper said they new nothing of. So rep tells me that was a start up fee. the other rep. Told me nothing about a start and that it was for early cancellation. I spoke with a representative from Kemper after all this and that rep said it doesn't sound right and that $100 cancellation fee sounds high. The rep from Driven proceeded to get rude with me and finally says that's the deal I made with the rep that signed me up. So back to square 1.i don't know who regulates the insurance companies but I will find out. But in the time. My advise if you see anything with Driven auto insurance attached to it.. run the other way. Also the lady that signed me up when I first asked her about the $100 she said that they didn't charge an extra $ 100 and I told her I have the proof because took it from my debit account. Worst company ever! PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Thieves and a scam! My boyfriend payed $568 down payment just to get our policy started and he ended up losing his debit card the day before the automatic withdrawal was to go through so now they cancelled our policy even after paying the $111.65 for the monthly payment. Been calling for two weeks now to get everything straightened out and get nothing but a run around and agents saying they'll leave a voice mail and that someone will call back and yet two weeks later and numerous voicemails that me and my boyfriend had left too and still no call back. It was only after speaking with a State Farm and Liberty Mutual agent, that we became aware that this sounds very much like a scam. So sketchy! So I called back today and actually spoke with someone that conference called foremost with me, and it was so funny cause they did the same thing with the other agent on the phone. Gave us a run around and after we asked that she stay on the line with us she clammed up and couldn't answer any of her or our questions. When the other agent kept asking questions just said I'm just going to get a manager for you put us on hold and then of course there are no mangers available and will have some one call us back. The same B.S that we've been getting told for the past two weeks and yet no one has yet to call us back. Very frustrating!!!! There needs to be a lawsuit. Who knows how many other people they've done this too. The nice agent found that a $300 payment and another payment $111 is not in their system and is trying to find out where or who took it. She even sent a message to a manager at foremost and tomorrow will be getting in touch with a district manager if he doesn't answer, because something is definitely not right here!!!! We will be disputing all the extra funds taken out with our bank and getting in contact with the Better Business Bureau if this matter is not taken care of and a full refund of extra monies taken given back. These people sound like a scam. I recorded the whole conversation by the way for evidence of the shadiness and the other agent not wanting to answer any of our questions. They have now cancelled our policy and asking that an additional $$194, for a $111 policy THAT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR, be paid to reinstate it for non sufficient funds. SMH!!! They just want your money and give you the run around! So far we've paid $679 in one month so if we pay the $194 to reinstate that will be $873 in one month, and they are telling us that we still owe the rest of the premium which is $847. The actual whole premium was only $1097 so the math doesn't add up. And by the way we took a car off. So why are they still charging us the old premium for three vehicles instead of two??? P.s By the way We started calling around to get quotes from other companies and Farmers, Driven, Foremost, Coast National General, and Bristolwest are all the same company. SO BEWARE!!! read more

I sent in a hand written letter via email and my request was never given a second look until I got a call asking me to pay 189.00 for non payment. To make things worse Foremost Auto Insurance sent me an email asking for payment as well. Neither party could help me, and Driven refused to even say that they were affiliated with Foremost. When I called Foremost they said that Driven is a brokerage and they should have sent them the forms with my cancellation. Put it simply, my sister was charged nearly $700/six months for cheapest liability insurance on her cheap salvaged car. I told my sister to get a refund after I heard this insane amount charge but they said $300 is non-refundable for broker fees. Thats the dumbest shit I have ever heard. A 2001 civic with 130,000 miles, salvaged. You tell me if it is worth it. I so happen to have driven insurance before my sister. Luckily I wasnt so naive of the average car insurance costs. $300/6 months for the same cheapest liability. And my car is a 2004 Civic hybrid with clean title. Once I saw what my sister was dooped that much I had to cancel my insurance with this company. I cannot support something with THIS LEVEL of scammy behavior. Cancellation was slow as hell, and to make salt on wounds, they didnt even refund me the proper amount. Guess someone is going to get a call real soon. Once I cancelled my insurance from this dick-wad company, I immediately began looking for cheaper options. Now I am paying $180/six months for my 2002 Honda S2000 with 40K miles. ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I have ever experienced. Driven Insurance is a 'pretend' third party broker that claims to link you with multiple insurance options that are affordable. However, their broker fees are ridiculously expensive And they urge you to choose an unheard of company called GreenPath who it turns out is the only company they represent. I allowed them to convince me to choose GreenPath because I was looking for affordable insurance. I was charged $200 in start up costs. This price includes 1st and last months payment and the rest are BROKER FEES for a plan that was only to cost $57 a month (liability only). Why would any SANE person spend the entire amount of what should be their deductible in one month, while only about half of it is paid towards their deductible? Seriously, I paid almost $100 in BROKER FEES. Then I found myself being billed 3 weeks later for my second payment. Wow!!! And when I called the actual agency, GreenPath, it turns out they freaking share an office with Driven Insurance. Can we say SCAM ARTISTS?! How can they say they represent multiple insurance companies, while only presenting one company as an option to customers? Furthermore, It turns out every two weeks they were pulling out money from my account without my permission and I had to go through the unfortunate process of changing all of my bank info. When I called to have them explain these ridiculous charges, I couldn't believe how rude they were. If anyone should be upset, it's me! It's my hard earned money that I was being swindled out of. I called the broker and insurance company and was met with rudeness because I decided to opt out. The broker had the audacity to raise his voice while I stayed calm. And I just decided to hang up. If that is how they treat customers who decide they no longer want to do business with them, it is really sad. No wonder they're unheard of, and I hope it stays that way. They're ridiculous.
