I happened to pick what I can only assume was Bavarian cream and immediately wanted to be THAT new guy and get more. I didn't do that, though. But the croissant was flakey and the cream was perfect. The following week, I tried to drop by before my shift. I followed my GPS to the strip mall it is located in. As soon as I arrived, I was excited to get a few items and even have time to eat one or two in the shop before going to work. It looks small from the outside and cozy through the window. Service was friendly and attentive. All of the staff were welcoming and made me feel like I belonged. Dale's serves old-style Calabash seafood; steaks, soups and salads make up the menu. I went with boiled shrimp, not knowing how large the portion would be. It came with sides and a trip to the salad bar. It was a lot of food. The baked potato was amazing and large with extra butter. I'm not normally a fan of coleslaw, but this I would have loved more. Seasoning for the shrimp was on the table so you could season it how you like.
