We visited Melt Ice Cream Shop twice during our trip to Myrtle Beach -- and it was worth every bite! The sort of hidden spot is has a fun, laid-back vibe that makes you want to hang out and enjoy your treat. There is public beach parking across the street and you can easily walk on the sand with your treat. During summer hours there may be a line, but it moves very quickly and it is worth the wait! Between the two visits, we tried the Peanut Butter Cup, Lavender Honey, Double Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, and French Silk -- and every single flavor was incredible. The ice cream is rich, creamy, HAND MADE, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The Lavender Honey was especially unique and refreshing. You can tell it is made with real lavender. The Peanut Butter Cup of course has huge chocolate peanut cups added in the ice cream. Waffle cones are also made in house and you can smell them as soon as you walk in. You are missing out if you don't some waffle to your order. The staff was super friendly and happy to offer samples to help us decide. I LOVE the graphic shirts on the walls that say "it's not summer until you MELT" You can tell they care about both the product and the customer experience. Love Melt! My mother-in-law introduced us to Melt and we keep coming back. They have a lot of original flavors, plus the all time favorites. I have tried several of their original flavors, but my all time favorite is Honey Lavender in a waffle cone. It does make a delicious milkshake too. The ice cream is great! Best in the area for sure. We tried both regular dairy flavors and non dairy flavors. Both were incredible. Prices are super reasonable especially for the size scoops. Milkshakes were a bit more expensive but still way cheaper than other places. Store was clean and staff were friendly. There is usually a line down the block in the summer, so was great to not have to wait too long in the wintertime. Even in the winter though, parking can be tough, so plan to walk a little ways. One would be a fool to be in this area of North Myrtle Beach and not try melt. The best ice cream I have ever have and I've had a lot of it. It's so sweet and rich and creamy and so good. They have mint Oreo milkshakes and it's every bit as tasty as it sounds. The line during dinner time in summer tourist season is the only thing that isn't sweet about this place, but it does move really fast and they are very efficient. If you notice a construction site next-door, it is a redevelopment of the property where Duffy Street seafood shack used to be and melt will be getting a bigger location within that redevelopment so maybe the line won't be as huge. It's worth every bit of that weight and more. Stand next to McMillan, look at real estate listings, enjoy the Seaside air, and I would wager you would have your ice cream within 15 minutes of getting in line. read more

This is a MUST DO place when coming to NMB. The selection of flavors is great, there is always new ones to try, and the staff are fantastic. If you are not sure what a flavor tastes like they are happy to give you a try. If there is a line, don't fret, it moves right along. Small little place right near Main St and N. Ocean Blvd across from the beach. We feel that based on some of the other ice cream places around (not going to mention names) it has to be the most reasonably priced for the amount of ice cream you get, and did we say they taste GREAT. Oh and if they have the Ube flavor....get it, or at least try a taste...the best interesting flavor they serve IMO. Highly recommend this place. read more

We stopped by here while visiting NMB and it's our new go to. The ice cream is delicious. We tried the homemade flavors and were very satisfied. When you order a cup of ice cream, you get a piece of waffle cone which was a nice surprise. The scoops are also very generous.
