This trip I got a blueberry, a creme cheese and a Boston cream one. My favorite was the Boston cream, my least favorite was the cream cheese. We also got a glazed donut and a twist, both of these for the first time. The donut was better than you can get at the famous places. The twist was a cross between a donut and a cinnamon roll. Very good. There was a line when we arrived but it moved fairly quickly. There was only one person at the register, he was filling orders, answering the phone and taking payments, so not real friendly, but not rude. I noticed while we were walking that they have a good selection of other dishes other than sweet stuff. Tempted to try something different next time. We sat in the adjoining seating area that is shared with a sandwich shop. The seating area was clean and huge. No trouble finding a seat here. I am sure we will continue to stop here on every trip.

I never had a burger at Highway 55 but was craving a cheeseburger and it was good. Good ratio of burger to bun (unlike some places where you get a thin, thin burger patty and huge bun). The burger was very good and my wife like her chicken Philly. Not sure if Orange aid drink is new to Highway 55 or they just have it at this location, but it was a great drink too!

They have what feels like every Blue Bell flavor you could ask for, and choosing just one is almost impossible. The scoops are enormous! Every time I go, I tell myself I'm only getting one or two scoops. Then I end up ordering three because it's just that good. Somehow, after finishing it, I'm already thinking about what flavor I'm getting on my next visit. This is one of those places you have to experience for yourself.
