Owner knows everything about animals, pretty neat. Great with breeding his pets bc the shop is always full of different birds fishes and reptiles and other pets! Bought a few fishes and a parakeet, clips the wings for free! Prices are pretty good here too. read more

This is the forth time I have been to this facility and the 2nd time I have ordered fish from this guy. I tell him what type of fish I want. He tells me when they should be in and then when they arrive he calls me, on the day he said they would be in. Chris is a really nice guy & his shop has been open over 35 years, I've been shopping with him since I was a kid. I have several reptiles so I buy insects/feeder rats weekly. I've known his store since he used to sell kittens & had a talking parrot. He's very helpful and friendly. He can be defensive over his parking spots, but he's a smaller business and does everything on his own. I've seen him care for and rehabilitate sooo many different kinds of animals and he truly works hard at it every day of the week. Pet store has mites wouldn't own up too it I was asking for a refund respectfully but got decline purchase was made 2 week ago it was its second time eating eating . Also got my other snake infested not as much tho the one from Chriss shop had little over 20/30 crawling around and under the scales the other one bought from s different pet shop had maybe 2-3 . the other shop keeps there ball pythons in racks and bins with white paper so it's noticeable if come in with mites but those tanks seem too never be cleaned . read more

It's a typical old school pet store. The Aquarium's could probably use a little bit better maintenance. I did buy a nice size clown loach for very good price. I would pop in every once in a while just to see what they got. I am an Fish enthusiast with many tanks. read more

This guy knows his fish , not only a sales man he's a fish hobbyist .... I have a new born running errands all day got home and forgot to buy my cichlids there food , I called 15 minutes after closing period knowing it was a waste of time but hoping someone would answer, not only did he answer he stayed and waited for me to come by... if I could I would give this man a 10 star all bad reviews about this place are parking related that has nothing to do with his customer service or store standards ... how can you judge a business and give a bad review if you never made a transaction in that business, yelp should be regulated to customer reviews only... read more

I've been loyal to this shop as it's near my home and a family business which I love supporting. Always take my girl there to look at pets and usually Chris is a nice guy. Just stopped in and was accused of knocking on his door over the weekend in a very rude manner. Hope Chris learns a life lesson to never accuse anyone he has no idea committed such act. So all the bad reviews seem to just be about the fact that Chris monitors the 3 parking spots he has for his customers. Yep, only 3 spots, and he's surrounded by a Walgreens, a Karate place and a Metro PCS. Given the popularity of the Karate place, I don't blame him for making sure that his 3 spots are available for people that are actually going into his store at the moment. Anyways, I can't say a bad thing about Chris'. He usually has exactly what we need, and if not he will special order it and give you a call when it's available. I won't buy fish from any other store any longer, as the fish you get from Petco or Petsmart will die 9 times out of 10 within a short time frame. Chris's fish last much longer than that, and he won't even sell you a fish if he doesn't think it looks healthy or has a flaw. Also, it's way better to buy local and support local stores instead of shelling over money for the big box pet supply stores. People need to quit complaining about his 3 parking spaces, and actually give the shop itself a shot. read more

Chris is an extremely knowledgeable guy. We talked shop for maybe 25-30 minutes, I learned quite a bit and had an enjoyable time just chatting. The fish are well taken care of, especially compared to the big box stores. Based on the other customers who walked in he seems to be well-known and liked by his customers. Had some absolutely gorgeous Platys and Guppies, all of which seem to be doing incredibly well in my tank. read more

Anyone complaining about him being defensive about his parking spots doesn't know what it's like to do business in a mini mall. Furthermore, they don't even seem to go in and give him a chance, which is ridiculous. He's knowledgable about pretty much everything he carries, which you won't find anywhere else besides a specialist vet. I don't even want to imagine how much time he spends taking care of all the fish, birds, and mice/rats he has in the shop. I Have gone to Chris for the past ten years to buy fish, reptiles, gerbils, hamsters and other pet supplies and have always had great experiences. It's a small, hard to notice pet shop but is worth the effort. According to one bad review he is out of business- He is still open. Chris is very friendly and helpful. He does have to guard his two parking spots because everyone tries to use them for other businesses. Anyone trying to run a business knows that is your source of income. read more

I got angelfish from there, put it in my quarantine tank, and I noticed white stringy poop from the angelfish. From all my research in the past 10 years, I assumed it was an internal parasite. I then started to treat the fish with metronidazol to get rid of the internal parasite ( used .5 gram for my 10 gallon qt tank) and a few hours later from coming back from biking, it was dead. I called the owner and told him what had happened. The first thing the owner said after explaining was "why would you do that", which made me feel like I was a crazy person. I am definitely not, I have been in the hobby for many years and havent lost a fish in over 5 years. Never going to buy fish from that guy again even though I used to go with my dad there when I was a little kid. 10 dollars for a 1.5 inch angelfish was definitely not worth it, I could've definently a better quality angelfish, for better price. read more

Love this store! Chris is always very helpful and fun to talk to. The fish and other animals always look well cared for.

We went yesterday to buy my son his first Goldfish and the gentleman that helped us out was super friendly and thoroughly explained everything to us and even gave us 3 gallons of water to make sure my son's fish would be okay. We will continue to come here....and as for parking, thank goodness it's right in front so I didn't have to haul my baby around in his carrier. read more

If I could give it a ZERO, I will. I AM NEVER EVER GOING BACK! I never went in and NEVER plan on to. I parked on the parking spot meaning to go inside, but I had to go to a store nearby to let my aunt know that we'll be going to the pet store before we leave. The man, I'm assuming is the owner, comes out and tells me that I can't park in the parking spot. I try to explain that I am simply letting someone know I'll be going to the pet store and I'll be going in. But no. He keeps telling me the same thing. He yells at me to tell him what I'm looking for so he can prepare it. I tell him multiple times I am going to simply look around and see what he had since I've never been there. This guy has the audacity to tell me that I can't park there UNLESS I buy something from his store. Seriously? I just went back in the car and drove off. I will not let anyone talk to me like that. That man was extremely rude! You obviously do not want my business, so I will be sure to bring it elsewhere. Never again. times I am going to simply look around and see what he had since I've never been there.
