Arrogant. Burnt Out. Old School. Visited Wednesday with my…read moresister as her advocate. He was highly defensive that I was there. Sister has been having abdominal pain for years. Always brings it up. He even wrote a consult to a Pain Specialist whivdid not treat adhesion pain. Other medical problems. Bold faced told my sister she had never mentioned pain before????? What? We took a fecal sample for hemocult. He refused to test it, then ordered a lab fecal hemocult. Ordered labs and prescription. Went around corner to have labs drawn. The tech, Stacie went to lunch and did not enter the lab orders. Wait time 1 hour. Again, prescription was not entered until today after we followed up AGAIN. No apologies. No call. No follow-up. Requested 2 referrals and provided contact info for both Doctors. Referrals entered for two completely different Doctors other than our request. Follow up again. Piedmont is absolutely the worst care system. Only positive is their accessible medical records. MY BODY. MY CHOICE. YOU DONT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH CRAPPY CARE.

Dr. Boone has been very neglect with the care of my dad. He went in to see Dr. Boone numerous times…read morefor two months for blood tests, X-rays, mri .... He said everything came back negative. My dad was extremely sick for two months that he looked terminal. Couldn't walk, fever, looked yellow, shivered, slept constantly, ect. And he never followed up or sent him to a specialist or to the hospital. My parents are of the generation that they believe everything their Dr. says and didn't think they could do anything else. They finally went to a different Dr. and he speculated right away what he had, which was bacteria in his blood and was practically terminal. He went to the hospital right away and has been in for three weeks. He is getting open heart surgery today because the bacteria ruined all three of his heart valves. His symptoms were text book symptoms for this problem. It is now going on three months for my once very healthy dad to being extremely sick. He could of died due to Dr. Boone's lack of follow up or lack of action. I know he would say he did all he could do but my sons girlfriend who is a second year medical student told me he might have the bacteria in his blood because he had every single symptom. Now why couldn't Dr. Boone come up with that??? Dr. Boone needs to do a lot better with his patients, totally unacceptable!!!

Came in for a immigration medical exam and he told me I needed to get some labs done. After I finished them, he would sign off on the paperwork and I could pick it up. Sherry, his nurse gave me all the information I needed and made sure to call me back promptly whenever I had questions. Reception's communication skills can be...refined, but the experience was stellar overall.

I am not sure if this doctor will be my first choice. I went to him because he was the only one who…read morewas USCIS designated medical physician. I am a bit of a traditionalist, going to a male doctor for physical check up scares me. I am in health care profession and usually a female nurse is present in the room during physical check ups. Well, his female medical assistant walked out the room. I panicked and my BP went up to 355/225. He scared me even more when he asked me questions about my ethnicity/background/heritage etc. Then he tells me he has to report me to ICE, since I had no health insurance, and my status in US was questionable. (note: yes I had no health insurance, because I had a job of live in caregiver, and I was a legal documented Immigrant who was being sponsored by her employer) Anyways, he advised I go to to ER and get an IV drip to lower my BP before I stroke out. I almost fainted. I went home instead, drank water, I called my family physician she saw me at her office. My BP was 125/65. I told her what had happened, she said I am not the only one, she has seen other female very legal and undocumented immigrants too who visited this guy and suffered a panic attack. Anyways she gave me meds, and after a week I returned to this guy with a low and very normal parameters of BP and I got my USCIS clean medical bill of health. I give him 3 stars. He was not very professional, and should've known that usually immigrants esp. female ones who hail from certain countries don't like being left alone with male doctors. And I do wish USCIS designate a female doctor too.

I have been a patient for CPC for over 20 years, contacted the North Augusta CPC to change doctors…read moredue to living in North Augusta, was told I could not change, when I inquired why, I was informed that is up to the doctors, they do not take transfer patients, only new patients, I stated I am a new patient from a different office, was told very rudely sorry that is up to the doctor. I Will be finding another doctor, leaving CPC after 20 years! The doctors that I have seen for the last 6 years doesn't seem to want to take time to talk with your or care really about whats going on with your health anyways, they just open their computers type some answers in and leave the room.

I thought it was odd that when I arrived for my annual wellness check that I was asked to sign a form stating that if you and the doctor covered any topics outside of a wellness check that you would be billed for that. I signed it and didn't give it another thought as I no new issues to discuss. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill. I called the office and asked why I had been billed when my insurance covers annual physicals. I was told by the staff that the doctor had asked about things outside of the scope of an annual exam. I asked what and was told that it was related to my sleep apnea. I was astounded as I have had a CPAP for maybe 4 years and I have a pulmonologist and Dr. Hewitt asks every year if I am still wearing my CPAP. My response, yes. How the heck is that yearly simple question and one word answer the requirement for an additional office visit charge. I relayed that to the office and requested they talk to the doctor about this. Never received a call from the office; however, my access to the portal was deleted a few days later and in about a week or so I received a certified letter stating that Dr. Hewitt had dismissed me as a patient and I had a month to find another doctor. As a follow-up I called the office and told the staff about this and the person said that Dr. Hewitt had not put a reason for my dismissal in my chart. Just the facts. If you don't want to be dismissed maybe don't question a charge.
