Alex recently designed a custom initial necklace for me that is based on a similar necklace that belongs to my mom. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of the necklace are extremely impressive, and my finished necklace is the exact same size, weight and style of my mom's - literally identical. Every single detail was accounted for, and I was honestly blown away by the finished product. Moreover, the design process was extremely collaborative, and Alex was receptive, responsive and patient in walking through the design process, making suggestions based on his expertise and explaining the in-house CAD design, 3-D printing and fabrication process to me. I walked away not only thrilled with my new necklace, but feeling like I had learned a lot about the incredible artistry and care that goes into each of his pieces. I have also purchased diamond earrings and other pieces from Alex and have found his approach and knowledge so helpful - he is never pushy or trying to upsell. I've asked for an appraisal for my diamond ring. I bought this a year ago and they keep ignoring my phone calls and emails. And when I do talk to somebody on the phone, they say they're gonna call me back and no return calls. something seems fishy about this and now I'm mad. read more

I was charged $190 to size my ring from 6 down to a 5.5, as well as fix a couple loose prongs. When I picked it up they didn't fix the prongs and I had to ask again for that to be done, and the ring was scuffed in the process. I reached out twice to see if there was anything they could do about the scuffs and they never got back to me. I'm pretty disappointed with the service, given what I was charged. I walked in here after visiting a few other jewelry locations. Not really sure what I wanted yet. I had browsed online sites for a few months as well, and after about 5 minutes in there just browsing and then proceeding to look at what was to offer I got hooked in. Very nice, well kept store, single walk way in. His business is actually a family business. Alex's grandfather and father both had their own jewelry stores if I rememeber his story right, and he has the pictures up on the wall, I thought that was also cool, and led me to believe he's the guy for the job even more. After looking at your typical run of the mill type rings, he started showing me custom created rings. Utilizing a method of 3D printing and then fabricating his own rings at different gold type and weight. Alex is able to design, and create any idea you may have for a custom design. He also offered to show me the difference in clarity, imperfections, lab grown/natural diamomd etc and brought a few gems up, and put in his locking gemology tweezers. Needless to say, I chose a custom after all of that, with the most beautiful craftsmanship I've seen thus far. I got it back in the estimated time window he had given, with my appraisal paperwork and gem certification documentation. I also had a custom engraving done and everything turned out perfect. I kindve was pushing a bit towards the end because I had a deadline on a family matter and this added to the scenario, and he helped me out and had great customer service. I believe he also will buy jewelry and weigh, test whatever is offered and gives a reasonable price for the purchase. Trust me, I checked literally every place in the twin cities. I have an old diamond I wanted reset along with some old gold and diamonds to trade in. He gave us an excellent trade in value (probably double or triple what every other jeweler said they would give me) to go towards the new gold and resetting of the diamond. My fiances glasses broke and America's best in Shakopee told us to try this store to get the frames fixed (they even called over there to see if they had time to fix them) they did so we headed over what a GREAT experience the two guys that run the place are AWESOME!! We got the frames repaired on the spot (who knew they could do this they weldes the broken frames) super fast service hung out while one brother fixed the frames while the other brother educated us on jewerly. Both were SUPER friendly not to mention the jewerly in the store is beautiful (got my eye on a necklace) i cant say enough about my great experience and the glasses were fixed super fast and super cheap.
