I was recently engaged back in December, and I had an absolutely wonderful time working with Chris. I am originally from Minnesota but currently live in Chicago, so I did the whole Jeweler's Row experience down here and looked at a large number of places and a large number of diamonds. I also did put a payment down on a diamond in Chicago that I really liked before heading back north to MN to do some more searching to make sure I was satisfied. Long story short, after checking out 4-5 places in the Minneapolis area, I went to Graham Jewelers, and I honestly don't know if I'll ever go anywhere else for future jewelry needs. The atmosphere is very relaxed and warm, and interacting with people did not feel standoffish or overly friendly. Chris, who is the owner of the establishment, ended up spending 2-3 hours with me to make sure I found something I wanted. He did not push me and was very honest with the questions I was asking. I liked what I found so much that I got a refund on the deposit I placed on the other diamond in Chicago. I am starting residency in the medical field shortly, and my now fiance is an evolutionary biologist and a field ecologist, so the details of the diamond really mattered for her, and I was incredibly satisfied with how Chris explained things to me. I was ALSO traveling to Australia to propose, and he made sure to go through security with me and things to pay attention to while traveling with a diamond, which helped me immensely with nerves. Once back home I took a trip up to Graham Jewelers with the fiance to get the ring resized and to talk about engagement rings, and again had a fantastic experience. My fiance purchased my engagement ring from Chris Graham- the experience my fiance had working with Chris is almost a better story than the actual proposal! My fiance had told me that he had met Chris a couple of years back racing bicycles and always found him to be a genuine guy, so when it was time to purchase a ring he wanted to give his business to a locally owned business and Chris came to mind. My fiance had sneakily snooped on my Pintrest account to find out what kind of rings I liked, after scrolling and scrolling through options, he ended up bringing his laptop into Graham Jewelers to speak with Chris. They BOTH sat together and scrolled through Pintrest trying to decide what the best option and style was going to be. My fiance told me that Chris spent three hours with him, educating him on the components of purchasing a diamond and showing him several ring settings. Chris ultimately created a relationship built on honestly which in turn allowed by fiance to be confident and at peace when purchasing. Following our engagement, I brought my ring in to be sized. Most of my friends had told me from their engagements, that bringing their ring in to be sized was difficult for them because they had to give their ring up for a week or two. I was prepared to hand my sparkler over for a week, but to my surprise, Danielle, one of their customer service personnel, told me it would be done by 2:00 that day! (I dropped it off at 10:00 am) When I picked it up I was able to meet Chris, and Raffi (the Jeweler who speedily re-sized my ring to perfection). I met Chris doing cyclo-cross bicycle races 3 years before I was ever in the market for a ring. In my opinion, Graham Jewelers is the best store jewelry store in the state of Minnesota. My husband and I searched for over a year almost every store, every chain, in the Twin City region to find an upgraded wedding band to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. Every store we would go into we felt like we were dealing with "used car salesmen" and it was really hard to hear their sales pitch and their "great deal." When we worked with Chris Graham it was like a "breath of fresh air." There was never any pressure, he was completely knowledgeable and we felt like we could trust him. I now have a gorgeous wedding ring that Chris and his staff have helped me keep shining for almost 2 years. Whenever I have a fun event to get ready for, if I can't make it into the store, Chris will send out an employee to pick up my ring, get it buffed and sparkling, and return it to me that same day! I was in the market for a new watch but wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. While I was shopping around at a few different high end stores in the metro area, I grew incredibly tired of what seemed to be a reoccurring theme, "you better be serious about buying or get out." It seemed like everywhere I went they only pretended to care until they realized they would actually have to spend some time with me and help me with the process. While in Wayzata on business I saw a sign for Graham Jewelers and figured I should at least check it out. I was helped by a lovely woman named Nancy who seemed like she was genuinely interested in helping me, not just selling to me. She spent a great deal of time walking me through their many watch brands and the pros and cons of each. I eventually settled on a beautiful new Ball watch and I couldn't be happier. I now send all of my friends and family to Graham!! Even if it's a long drive to get there, it is MORE than worth it. When you walk in, the store is amazing and they have something for EVERY price range! Even estate jewelery dating back hundreds of years. The staff is SO friendly and helpful and you can tell right away that this store is truly about the customer. I had a bad experience with my engagement ring and was convinced my memories were permanently tarnished.
