I moved back to the area in the fall and had to say goodbye to my favorite waxing place, and the problem was that my old one in Boston had closed. I figured it was winter so less of a time to panic, and add in Covid and what I had was me sitting inside with my dog. However, in early February I started to realize that I could (somehow) find a new place for waxing or I could just get laser and be done with it. I saw a Groupon deal, but checked out their website and saw that I could purchase one visit at a time (I don't think I have seen this anywhere else, it is usually a package of 5 or 6 visits) and decided I could get one Brazilian wax for $60-80 (depending on location) or one laser treatment for $99; seeing as one lasts 4-6 weeks and the other forever, the choice was obvious. My first visit was 6 weeks ago (everyone is different, you might be 4-5 weeks) and my second was this morning, it really is not all that awful and Emma is really nice. They have a great system in place for Covid: call from outside to check in, then go inside when they are ready for you. They will check your temperature as soon as you get in, your bag (if you have one) will go into a plastic bag and you will be given a pair of gloves to wear after disinfecting your hands. Really, it is easy and much faster than waxing!! They also have online booking (!!!), there is no shortage of free parking outside on Trapelo Rd, and you will get a great service for much less than other places that over-promise and leave you feeling disappointed. read more

This studio is fairly priced, and they have promotions. I like how their cleaning procedures involved sanitation. My appointment was quick, but I also appreciate that it was thorough. I think my technician name is Yaz. She answered all my questions and concerns, and she was very nice to make sure the experience was not painful for me. It was my first time, and there's cool air to help with the tiny shocks. It's only painful around certain sensitive skin (ex. Inner thigh vs arm) but other than that it's pretty bearable. In general, this place was okay, but I won't be coming back. I bought a package here in July of 2017, but couldn't use all of it immediately due to medical reasons. I nervously wrote back at the end of the year and they were very nice about setting up appointments to come back in and finish, and also about changing my name in their records and appointment software. I finished up using the package over the first half of 2018 and bought one additional treatment. The package deals seem decent and I was able to use one $25 coupon on the individual treatment. It's in kind of a weird little basement room, a little cramped, but usually there weren't other people waiting. Privacy was fine, apart from the inherent awkwardness of this coinciding with my first 6 months of HRT :-) The results have been satisfying - I wasn't expecting miracles. I will re-evaluate laser vs. electrolysis when choosing a new place. The techs are gentle and friendly. However, I specifically asked when reaching out to them if they had any experience treating trans women and they said yes. But when paying for my last appointment, my tech needed to contact the doctor and I very clearly overheard him misgendering me as "he". This is absolutely unacceptable. I can't say "oh, it's a medical provider, someone will educate them." I'm paying out of pocket for laser and I'm going to take my money elsewhere. read more

Ok, guys! As I mentioned before I also wanted to try a laser fine line removal (skin tightening) procedure so I did that, and as addition we shot some pigmentation spots (freckles) out off my face. They are completely gone, and I'm so happy about that. I will definitely come back for another skin tightening appointment as one treatment works really well and you see the result immediately but with an environment nowadays and all the pollution the treatment has to be repeated every now and again for the skin keeps healthy, resilient and young looking. I have gotten about 6 sessions done of lazer hair removal for my armpits & Brazilian. I have seen amazing results, my hair grows in way thinner & only have a couple spots that still grow hair. Which is amazing, definitely with summer around the corner! I came in for some laser hair removal. However, the technician missed significant amounts of hair. I called shortly after when I realized this, and the person I spoke to said to wait it out in case it was too soon to tell. However, I was leaving town shortly after. Now that I am no longer in town and it has been a couple weeks, the hair certainly was missed. When I called on the phone again they said they cannot do anything (I asked if I could receive a credit on my account because I would like to come back in a couple months). I wish they had taken my concern more seriously when I was still in town. The staff members were all very friendly during my visit however. Just started my laser hair removal journey, after years of waxing. Today was my first visit, and I had a ton of questions that were all answered. All safety protocols were thorough: temp check, alcohol sprayed on hands, gloves are provided and then another spray of alcohol, I walked in with a mask and was asked to put on another and a bag was provided for my belongings. So two masks later and all waivers signed I headed to the room. I was nervous being olive skin and walking away with burns, that was not the case. Pictures were taken of my skin to compare to weeks from now. Alexandria was my technician she was fast and kept checking if I was ok. Eye protection is provided. Next came three test patches that was done on the inside of my arm at three different strengths. After that the session began. First my under arms, my right armpit was fine, my left was more sensitive. The pain isn't unbearable, it's feels like a tiny pinch and is accompanied with cold air blowing on your skin. Next was a Brazilian, I was worried it was going to hurt but honestly hardly felt anything, my pain tolerance was high from the waxing over the years. Initially, I picked this place because of the location. I am so glad I did. All before and after photos in the clinic have the faces of staff and owners. This made me feel very comfortable right away. There were no upsell or pressure. You purchase one session at one time. No requirement to prepay for multiples. The little clinic is equipped with everything needed for the customer/ patient to feel comfy. The booking service is automated. There is a coffee machine, tv and a lot of literature about the procedures they offer. Their lasers seems pretty new and they do adjust the settings as you go. I liked the service. The results look great. I think laser hair removal is the best thing ever invented for a woman. My second favorite procedure was cellulite removal. You do have to stick to a diet for a while , but it does really work. To sum up, I do recommend this place . She is very friendly and courteous-- upon buying a package of three, I was excited to be a customer and refer other people-- but in saying this, Gary was at first very nice and later turned out to be a potential con artist. I was early for my first appointment and Gary explained everything-- very thoroughly. For my second appointment, I was also 15 minutes early but I ended up waiting half an hour because they decided to take someone else that was unscheduled. On my third appointment, to save myself the stress of getting there on time, I was 14 minutes late, and when I walked in-- THEY TOLD ME THAT I MISSED THE APPOINTMENT AND THAT IT COUNTED BECAUSE THEY WAITED 15 MINUTES. As I was trying to explain that I didn't know that was the policy, they sent me a "missed appointment text". Gary then proceeded to tell me that I signed a contract with their policies and I assured him that I did not-- he then was asking me to sign a waiver while still telling me that I forfeited my last appointment-- he was trying to get me to sign the acknowledgment of policy without letting me read it!! I was absolutely disheartened by how they treated me, and although Natalia still finished my session, I felt like I was being conned already and I felt like they didn't have the laser on or something. He did a very good job, after the second appointment i stop shaving my underarm and just about 95% of the hair stopped growing. Only one that remains are the light thin ones. I'm so excited to come back here for my next appointment. The doctor and assistant are both great; they're very informative, nice, and funny. They do one patient at a time and really give you their full attention. After explaining the procedure thoroughly, they give you a moment to take off whatever clothes you need, rub the provided numbing cream on yourself, put on a fresh paper robe (like the doctors office), and the assistant comes back in to do thee laser. The machine is really great, it cools the skin as it lasers the hair, so it's a very comfortable experience. The assistant is great, very quick but careful not to miss any spots. The whole thing was over very quickly and other than some minor discomfort during the process, it was painless, no redness or discomfort after. The hair stops growing for a while after the procedure and mine fell out a week or two later. I'm excited to finish up my treatment. The prices are also amazing and they always give you the lowest price available and never raise it after you start. I will always go here for my laser hair removal. read more

It is very unfortunate that today has become the LAST day that I will ever be visiting this place. In the past, I have asked to do the procedure with this specific person, but she(this person over the phone who takes appointments) totally ignored it and there was this new person that I wasn't even told. I was very upset about that to begin with. Also, this new person didn't follow the protocol very well. I wanted to do hair removal laser for eyebrow area. I usually draw lines for them to make sure they don't remove any areas that I want to keep. I asked her TWICE if I could do it but she said NO. On top of this, she asked me to hold this cooling machine. There were many problems to this. 1) When you do hair removal laser for your eyebrow lines, you are told to wear this goggles to protect your eyes. So, you can't see a thing with this. You don't know where you're shooting and if you don't shoot this cold air directly at the right spot, your skin can BURN. 2) when you get laser, you can get startled. And you can't focus aiming at the right spot 3) I am NOT paid to hold this machine. I PAY for them to do their JOB So, I asked her if her colleague can come in and help us. There was this guy who usually does the eyebrow lines with me. He was outside and I also didn't understand why he didn't do it himself with me this morning. Again, no explanation provided to me about this. She said NO and asked me to hold it anyway. I just don't understand why you would every say NO to a customer who specifically is asking for help and expressing discomfort. After this unpleasant experience, I texted this customer service person and expressed my dissatisfaction. She called me up right away and raise her voice to her customer saying that the person that I have requested broke her arm or something. So, that's why she couldn't come and the person who did the procedure with me this morning has more experience than the other one. Fair enough, but I told her it's not about that it's more about keeping me informed about the change and respecting my previous request. She raised her voice even more and almost yelled at me "DO YOU KNOW what happens when someone breaks his/hair arm.,,,:,,(she went on and on)??!!!??" I was absolutely baffled by this rudeness and had to hang up the phone before this person ruins my entire day. Again, a couple of things that are EXTREMELY wrong about this. 1) You don't talk to your customer with that kind of attitude raising your voice and all that 2) You have obviously been informed that I have made that request. So you should have given a heads up so that I wouldn't bother making an appointment 3) How do I even know that this person who did the procedure this morning with me has more experience or better qualified to do this because NOBODY explained this whole change I am very sad that this experience this morning will permanently stop me from going back to that place ever again. Some suggestions for them 1. Keep your customers informed about any new changes(especially new/unusual person doing the treatments with you) 2. Be more accommodating to your customer. When they show discomfort and make a request right in front of you, Do it. Don't make your customer work(asking them to hold the machine and such) 3. Be polite to your customer. I STRONGLY suggest that this person(who takes appointments over the phone) takes some training in terms of customer service. VERY RUDE! read more

I felt really safe, they provided a mask to put over my own mask, sprayed my hands with alcohol then had me put on gloves and put my purse in a plastic bag. Everything was really clean. The treatment was great too. I have had laser hair removal at another studio and did about 8 treatments and it was really painful.
