I've been wanting to go to Christmas Mouse for ages and finally made it happen. In short, it was magical. So many types of decorations and lots of styles- the kids, parents, and grandparents were all able to find things they loved. My wife wanted to stop here and I kept saying tomorrow. I'm glad we finally went in. This is a store filled with mostly Christmas ornaments. There are items on the second floor that are not ornaments. It was cool to look around and see ornaments I didn't even think would exist. While in there you forget it's 95 degrees outside. Free personalizing on some of the ornaments. The store was clean and smelled like Christmas. The staff was friendly. Definitely take the time to stop in if you are in Myrtle Beach. read more

The employee was an absolute C U N T. Completely miserable and just ruined the whole vibe of the store. Asking her a simple question she responds with nothing but a nasty attitude. I get no one is cheery all the time but when you're running a business you should have some level of hospitality and she had NONE. Ive downloaded this app just because she was that miserable ( an old bottle blonde woman with glasses. Get well soon ). The store its self is very cute. A beautifully decorated shop that has all your holiday decor, gifts, and ornaments. Some of the fancier ornaments are priced pretty high at $15+ bucks but you can't deny how many different kinds there are to choose from. We purchased a beautiful Myrtle Beach-themed frame here to gift to a relative at the end of our visit to Myrtle Beach, and she absolutely loved it. One could easily spend an hour+ in here. read more

They have character ornaments, rotating ornaments, customizable ornaments. They also have a small section for beach items, Halloween items, and Thanksgiving items. I've heard about this store from a few different people, but I had never got the chance to check it out until today. After all, who doesn't love Christmas, right? Better yet- all year round? This store is completely drowning in all of the cutest Christmas decor around! I could not believe the hundreds and hundreds of different ornaments they had. They had a little something for everyone. Sport ornaments, occupation ornaments, food ornaments, etc! There was even a taco ornament! There were these cool glasses as well that quite literally caught my eye.... When you wear them while looking at Christmas lights, it makes the point of the lights into shapes like angels, elves, stars, and even a ginger bread men! My point is, you can find some pretty cool stuff here. The only down side is that they can be a little bit pricey... I noticed prices averaging between $6-$20 per ornament. So if you're a compulsive shopper like me and don't have any money, don't bother even coming in to look. You'll spend all of your money on Christmas in July! This place is amazing!! It's clean! Plenty of parking! The displays are beautiful, it smells like Christmas and the Christmas music is playing!! The staff is VERY friendly and helpful! Prices are reasonable, there's something for every budget! No, there is not a public bathroom but there is a sign on the door that says just that before you even go in the store. Browsing could take awhile in here so if you have little ones or think you may need to use the BR then go someplace nearby and use it before going in. Can't really complain about something you were warned about before even going in the store! Smh. Lovely store! I will definitely be back! read more

My 3 year old daughter tripped and fell in their parking lot as we were heading in and had blood coming out of her knee. We asked the employee if there was a washroom or a sink we could use to wash her up and she said no there wasn't. I asked if she preferred my daughter to bleed on their floor and she didn't respond to me. Very rude service. read more

We have visited the sister location in Virginia Beach as well so I was happy to see one here when we visited Myrtle Beach. Very unique ornaments and themes. Stopped by to see if I could pick up some different (meaning not mass-produced) natural beachy ornaments for gifts. Not so much. That's cool, though. Was fine, just not what I was seeking. Shop is a usual-suspects Christmas (ornaments, trees, lights, garlands) and collectibles kinda place. Demdaco lines, Byers choice, etc.; staff was helpful, space is comfortable, clean, and worth a visit if this is your scene. Was also easy to get in and out of, traffic-wise (it's not in the miserable frontage-road section of Kings Hwy). read more

My mom was so excited to go to the Christmas Mouse on our summer vacation. It was the one "must see" place on our trip. We took our family to the shop to continue the tradition 40+ year tradition or getting a new, special and meaningful ornament each year. As we walked around the shop, we were underwhelmed with the selection as it seemed similar to Hobby Lobby and Michaels but with a 10x mark up. As we picked our ornaments, my son had to use the restroom. He is only 3... if you have a child then you know when a 3 yr old has to go, they have to go right then! The store would not allow my son to use their restroom even though we were paying customers. My poor babe was so worried he would have an accident while I had to buckle him into his car seat and go to the next stop. It was such a disappointing experience all around. read more

They were talking loudly and complaining about family matters the twenty + minutes we were in there. When we left they were sitting in the same van, why not keep family business private? I so wanted to love this place. It was the only shop in Myrtle Beach I had any interest in going to. When I travel I don't buy souvenirs, I buy an ornament from that location. I also collect snowmen and have been eager to add to my collection. I stopped in with my son after brunch, and after a few minutes of browsing realized that I shouldn't have had so much water and coffee. This may seem like too much information, but when I asked the salesperson if there was a restroom, I was told, in what came across as the most condescending and talked down to way "we don't have public restrooms." I probably would have spent an hour shopping, but I paid for the 2 things in my basket and left. I can understand not having restrooms open to the general public, but not having one for customers is a major loss on their part. I never even got the chance to browse the store and spend some real time shopping because I had to drive back to my hotel. Had I at least gotten an "I'm really sorry" I would probably go back to shop. Unfortunately, I just don't like being talked down to (even my child asked "why that lady said it so mean"). read more
