The popcorn was amazing. You could smell it when you walked in. There was a nice gentleman working that allowed us to try any flavor we wanted with generous helpings. I went into the shop expecting caramel corn you might get at a carnival; mediocre at best. I can't explain in words how absolutely wrong I was. There were several flavors to choose from and I think the owner and woman at the register were trying to make sure I tasted every single one of them. This turned out to be a major problem for me because I went into the shop to order one cortado. By the way, the owner makes a fabulous cortado! Back to the caramel corn...I couldn't decided what flavor to bring home; so I purchased three flavors. The Mexican Hot Chocolate was my favorite. The customer service and cortado I received was the best on my trip to Georgia. The ladies in the shop made me feel like I was their neighbor or friend; a wonderful experience. Saw this place near the parking lot in Helen. The variety of popcorn is wonderful and the iced coffee is AMAZING. I tried the iced white chocolate mocha with almond milk and it was 10/10. She actually uses real chocolate melted by the espresso instead of syrup! read more

My experience at Christoff's is truly uplifting. We make it a point to always visit when we are in the town of Helen, because it is a place that inspires joy. We go get some amazing lattes always they have your normal flavors like hazelnut, caramel, vanilla etc. What they are known for is the amazing popcorn that they have bunch of flavors. They are fresh and delicious and you can buy bags of them. They are a great gift for this place to give, spreading happiness to all who receive them. The service is quick and efficient with the employees letting you taste the popcorn before buying them. The ambience of this place is quite lovely because in the back of the store, it opens to a lovely patio and some seating that over looks the river water. We love taking pictures there with our family and friends and just relaxing eating the popcorn and drinking our lattes, feeling grateful for these special moments. read more

We stopped in for coffee and Hot Chocolate and Carmel corn. Hot chocolate was nice and creamy for a nice fall day. Sat on the back porch just enjoying the day with our drinks and the Carmel corn. Made fresh coffee when asked so it was nice and hot. They do not have decaf coffee if that is what you are looking for. Young associate was very helpful and courteous. Don't buy this popcorn. It is SOOOOOO good, you won't be content until you have eaten the ENTIRE BAG and your pants don't fit anymore. The regular, basic caramel corn is quite tasty, but the spicy caramel corn (cayenne pepper mixed in) takes DeLiShOuS to a whole new level. The owner is an absolute sweetheart. She talked to us for 10+ minutes and made us feel so welcome. While we were enjoying the river view on the deck, she rush out to bring the chair cushions so we would be more comfortable. read more

Food, service and ambiance was great the first time we were there, the issue at that time was the store hours. They opened an hour after the posted time - this was 9 months ago. Fast forward to today, we were at Helen this weekend. We were looking forward to visiting the store store again to buy a bunch of popcorn to give away to our friends and family when we get home. Unfortunately same story - according to google, they open at 11am. So we were there at 11am, it was close. Decided to wait until 11:15am, still close. We decided to walk around and come back at 12pm. Store still close. I tried calling them to check if they are opening today, recroded message was to check their hours in google. Bottom line, they do not open on any specific time or they are on a different time zone. Disappointing. read more

Lady working today with blonde hair was rude as hell. We have a dairy allergy and we're reading the ingredients listed on the bags on the counter and found three flavors that didn't have dairy ingredients (cream) listed on the bags. The three flavors were gingerbread man, bananas foster, and some almond chocolate one. As we were looking at the ingredients my husband walked up and asked the woman at the counter if any of them don't have butter (he didn't realize we were reading the ingredients already). She told him all of them have butter in them, and I said what about these ones they don't have butter listed in the ingredients? And she said in a snarky tone "they all have butter, butter IS cream". I responded, these don't list cream in the ingredients.... Either she is wrong and some of the flavors use oil or margarine instead of butter (the three flavors I mentioned did list types of oil but no dairy products), or their ingredients labels on the bags are wrong and they actually do contain dairy which is risky since dairy is a common allergy. Everything looked good, but the service was shockingly rude. read more

Totally a hidden gem in Helen! It's down one of the side streets, but definitely try to seek it out for coffee and/or a snack. They have all different flavors of caramel corn and will let you sample. The flavors are good, some with chocolate drizzles mixed in, and what I really like is that the caramel coating isn't too thick and hard. Prices are great, $5 for a small bag. The best part about this place though is their covered deck out back, right along the river. Its a lovely spot to chill for a bit. I didn't try it but they do have some coffee options with different flavorings. What a great place to start the day. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the yummy popcorn treats made here. Gourmet popcorn that satisfies a chocolate lovers tooth in the Bavarian is my favorite. There are so many favors to choose from. Not sure if you'll like it. No problem! There is a large assortment to taste from served fresh to you to decide. They have a terrific hot cocoa or coffee bar to wash it down with while you gaze over the Chattahoochee River on the deck. The wood work is amazing in itself for this shop if you like to see renovation success stories. It really should have been on tv. Don't forget the artwork on the side! While they are nice and willing to give corn samples, they offer a variety of coffees that are apparently premixed so they say they're unable to add ice or give cold lattes except for an iced coffee. My request was an iced latte and they ran me around only to tell me the coffees are premixed. ‍ Apparently they have a lot of issues with not being able to give the customers what we request because the girl said she was tired of explaining the coffees today. Maybe management needs to change how they do coffee. read more

We were very excited to try this place before being treated so rudely. As we entered the premises, part of our party walked out to the deck while waiting for the remaining few, I understand making people aware that the deck is for your "paying" customers but we weren't even given time to get in the the door much less make purchases! We had every intention to purchase but will never give this place our business or recommend it, we were treated very poorly & calling our children names will absolutely not get you good reviews! I don't think there is enough good popcorn around to continue to be successful if this is how you handle your business or train others to. This place is amazing and I'm bummed I only discovered it halfway through my trip. The owners are the most wonderful people and their coffee and popcorn treats match! Highly recommend the chocolate espresso-I got it everyday and have no regrets. They also do a lot of donations to local charities. Their deck is absolutely lovely and such a peaceful place to sit and lookout over the river.
