From the first time we met Chris out at Taber Ranch, we wanted him to be our wedding photographer. We didn't even really interview any other options since his pricing and service were so appealing. He doesn't really do weddings without an engagement session and we took him on an adventure in Tahoe looking for snow to backdrop our photos. Due to the mild winter we had this year, we trekked quite a bit, but he was a great sport through it all. Thanks to Chris and the team at Taber, our wedding day went off without a hitch. He was very mindful of timing and keeping to a schedule so that he could make sure he got photos of all the events during the day that we wanted. We did have to tell him that we wanted to enjoy the food we paid for (I don't like to rush through good food) and we also wanted to be present at our reception for our guests as much as possible. We did not do first look photos, so his time after the wedding was rather limited to get pictures done, but what he did end up with turned out great. The only reason that Chris is not getting 5 stars in this review is due to some followup after some issues he had with his website. He was able to get things back up and running, but it wasn't until 2 weeks before the wedding that we were hammering out a schedule that would fit him around the party and catering. This was because neither of us had realized we hadn't heard from each other in a few months. Good follow-up was something I definitely learned is necessary in planning a wedding, and I would say no matter who your photographer is or any vendor for that matter - maintain good and consistent communication. If you haven't heard from someone in a while, there might be a reason. Overall, very satisfied with the service provided by Chris. He is a fantastic artist and really tries to put his subject(s) in the best light possible. I couldn't be happier with the end result. read more

We were married back in November, and hired Chris to shoot our wedding. He did a great job at the event, and worked closely with us to make sure to capture special moments during the wedding. Let me just start by saying I was impressed from the beginning. Chris was kind and honest as a professional and thats what I loved about him. He clearly wanted what was best for my husband and I on our special day and the photos prove that. We got married on May 4, 2017 and received our photos July 17, 2017 and boy were they worth the wait! He captured some of the sweetest moments a girl could only dream of. My husband and I knew Chris through the fire department before we were engaged, after reviewing his photos there was no question who we were going to use as our photographer! He went way above anything we could've asked for or would've received from another photographer! We spent all day in the Truckee/Tahoe areas for our engagement shoot, and we met again to record mine and the hubby's answers for our dating game video, Chris was able to pull our video together quickly to have it ready to show at our reception, people are still talking about it over a year later! Anyone who has planned a wedding can tell you how stressful the details can be. The last thing you need to worry about is the photographer and the quality of your pictures. When looking for a photographer we wanted to find someone we felt comfortable with and after meeting Christopher, we knew he was going to be fun to work with, and we could tell he really enjoyed his work and made an effort to connect with his couples. As a photographer Chris absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. For the most part, you think of a photographer as coming in, getting the shots you want and delivering a product that you love. He went way beyond this- all the way from the engagement shoot until the night our wedding was over. Chris wears many hats but without a doubt he is an amazing photographer. We chose to show our "love story" video during our reception and we loved every second of it. Chris was recommended to us by a family member as an upstanding guy and a great photographer. We were having trouble getting anyone to even return our phone calls as it relates to photographers for our wedding, so we were pleasantly surprised when we were able to get a hold of Chris fairly quickly. He helped us figure out all of the details that work for us and went out of his way to accommodate us even though we live in San Diego and he lives in Northern California.
