I came in for a second opinion about regular abdominal pain I had been having over the span of 3 months. Because of what I had been through with other doctors, I expected Dr. Holden to examine and then send me off with a pile to tests to complete (bloodwork, cscan...etc). However, and thank goodness this was not the case. The dr was very patient and attentively listened to the long story about my history and what other doctors were thinking. He was the ONLY doctor who was concerned about my weight (which I had been slowly losing since this started) and reassured me that we would be able to figure it out. Instead of slapping me with expensive tests, he recommended starting with the simplest (and cheapest) option to see if that helped anything. Then, if it didn't we'd move up to more expensive and invasive testing. THANK GOODNESS. My poor bank account has been a mess since most doctors throw tests at me (only to have the tests come back normal) While I'm curious to see if my issue is as simple as that- I really appreciated Holden's genuine attention and care. The only "off-putting" thing about his office may be some of the office staff. They're all very young and informal... which will wither put you at ease (with the way they speak so casually and joke around) or annoy you. read more

Dr. Holden and his entire staff go far beyond the call of duty. Every time I step foot in his office, I feel prioritized and cared for like family. They go out of their way to see that I'm comfortable, and make sure I understand everything fully so that I can make educated decisions of my own. I had blood drawn and Tanner was so gentle and accommodating, he made what usually is an unpleasant experience, a memorable one. I thank him for that, as it is usually a fright for me.. Monica always handles incoming traffic with grace and a smile. Dr. Holden is one of the few, who are not financially driven. He prioritizes the care of his patients, and even offers inexpensive alternatives to alleviate his patients from financial burden. It's clear that he cares about you. He usually walks in the room with a pleasant and disarming comment, to remove any anxiousness one might be experiencing in the "hot seat." I take my son to Dr. Holden for autism and every visit is like a whole class about autism. Dr. Holden is not your average Dr. who would prescribe you impractical medications if it is not necessary. He will give a you a full knowledge and understanding about your problems so you can pass it on to other parents who are undergoing similar situations. Dr. Holden saw my sister in the hospital on May of 2018. My sister has a fractured hip in three places. There was schedule a two week follow up with Dr. Holden for May 21. My sister can't bear weight on her hip at all. I personally had made arrangments with Sarasota Health center to provide a stretcher transport to do the xray from their facility which is 2 blocks down the road from where her rehab. SMH only needed the Doctors order sent over with her primary care transport note to get the xray done. I spoke to a woman named Nikki twice on Thursday May 17/2018. Nikki told me that the doctor would not send over the orders because he needed to see her that day! I told Nikki that for her convience and pain management it would be easier to transport her by stretcher to the local facility and he could get the xrays immediately online and then consult with the Doctor from rehab with the findings. Nikki stated he needs to see her and that he WOULD NOT SEND THE ORDERS OVER TO SARASOTA MEMORIAL HEALTH SYSTEM. My sister is in such pain and still not able to use that left hip at all and the Dr. did not care to use a facility so close to her with her pain....HE JUST WANTED THE MONEY OF THE XRAY AND VISIT NO MATTER THE PAIN IT COST HER!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN ORTHO.....PLEASE KEEP LOOKING DO NOT STOP AT THIS DOCTOR!! ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY NOT THE PATIENT. read more

So things have improved somewhat with my experience here as I did eventually receive my prescriptions even though one was incorrect. I don't know if that was an error on behalf of the doctor's office or the pharmacy, so I won't fault them for this. I was annoyed though to find out that from the pharmacy that the delay in my getting my prescriptions was due to the doctor's office not sending the prescriptions in correctly. I did end up getting bloodwork done and sent to them, but had to call the doctor's office to get the results. The referrals that I was given have been good so far. I plan on seeing this doctor again. Hopefully, no more hiccups occur. read more

I came to this office so doctor could see my hand that had some rash. The stuff was not professional at all, when they told me that first he will have to see. They were not sure if he can help me with my problem so they said they wont charge me but later they asked me to pay. I got to the waiting room to get it checked and I waited almost an hour for the nurse to tell me that doctor already left and won't see me. Doctor suppose to help people and not ignore. He knew I was inside waiting. All he cares about its money not people. I have been going here for about 6 years. I have stayed here because doctor holden has always tried to help me and go out of his way. The staff is amazing. The staff is seriously the sweetest most caring people. They do not judge a book by its cover either. Doctor Holden hires students so there is always new staff coming in but they are all extremely nice and professional. If you are going here without insurance for a suboxone treatment plan it is expensive. It is $175 a visit. It used to me $75 six years ago. But it is definitely worth it. Compare it to how much you are spending on your addiction each month and $175 isn't very much. I was walking in a cross walk and hit by a drunk driver. I sustained a lot of injuries if you could imagine. I ended up getting addicted to pain medication because of this. This is what happens to most people who have had some sort of accident. Doctor Holden was the only person who really helped me and changed my life. If you are reading this and are addicted to pain medication or any type of addiction ... You need to call Doctor Holden. Try to make an appointment, new job, and new insurance. Called the Doctor Office, got the message(at the time I thought this is not a good sign). A day later needed to see a doctor still. called again. By luck, someone answer from the office, Ask about getting an appointment. The Gal on the phone was more interested in my insurance then why I wanted to see the Doctor, she told me my Insurance information was not showing in her system. I was reading it off my insurance card, she told to call the group provider(because she stated there was no way for the doctor to be paid). she told me not to call back for at least a week after getting the information correct. Instead, I called the insurance company "United healthcare" they were very nice told me some kind of mixed up call the doctor back and make the appointment. So few days later I call the Doctor office again, message again. that was a week ago, no callback still. I have called this doctor office several times, just to get the voicemail. Now in the process of asking United healthcare for a new Doctor. What was worse while I was speaking to Insurance Company on the phone about this, they put be on hold and try calling the doctor office, they got Voicemail also. By the way, all my calls into the Doctors office has been during the week at different times of the day. read more
