If I could give a negative rating, I absolutely would. I have never encountered a billing department worse than this one. For the same emergency room visit on the same day, the hospital charges and the physician's bill were both covered by insurance. I have called them at least eight times, each time clearly telling them to bill the insurance. Every time, they assured me they would submit the claim. However, my insurance company confirmed that they never received any claim from MRD. Meanwhile, MRD kept sending bills directly to the patient and eventually even sent the account to collections. This is completely unacceptable. I have never seen such an incompetent and irresponsible billing department. read more

This company is very confusing. I was given a paper by my gynecologist referral to go here. It said women's breast link center. And then I get a text from them confirming my appointment which had a different name. And then I get a text from them to pay the balance of my bill with this name. When I went for my mammogram I thought it was so cool that they asked if I wanted to opt in for AI. It was such a wonderful experience where everybody was so nice and it was very quick. They didn't tell me the AI was Not covered by insurance and was going to cost me $50! I found out months later it by a text message from this company. I mean $50 isn't a lot to get breast cancer detected up to 7 years earlier than a human radiologist but still they should have disclosed the price. read more

They keep calling, even though I block their calls and they call from a different number each time and email me and send snail mail and I've never heard of them and never used their services. I called Aetna, because the on the bill it says that I owe them the money, so I thought this was a collection agency. Well, I knew this wasn't true since Aetna does not bill, you pay your premium and what isn't covered, your medical provider bills you. This group of radiologists has the worst billing department ever. I paid my bill within 5 days of receipt. A month later I am still receiving a voicemail each week asking me to call a number about an account, yet when I call my account has a zero balance. First thing this morning I contacted the physician's office; I was told they do not use this company to collect payments. My doctor's office sends invoices directly to patients using USPS. SCAMMERS! I don't know how, but these people need to be shut down. They've repeatedly mailed us huge bills for things we already sorted. The name on these bills are always wrong even though we've called and asked them to resubmit them with the correct name. Each time we call, the people on the phone are more and more belligerent, with anything from screaming at you to being passive aggressive and just hanging up on you. Same as everyone else, negative review due to billing issues. The doctor's office, staff and quality of the equipment, as another poster mentioned, can all be fantastic but if the billing practices are poor, that is the last impression the patient is left with. MRD, please re-educate your billers and/or billing provider if you want better reviews and better care for your patients. I have been sent a bill twice a month for the last 6 months and have attempted to rectify it each month. I reviewed the bill online, they sent the bill to the wrong Blue Cross/Blue Shield and my member number did not include the 3 letter prefix. It took 3 calls to my insurance company (who informed me the procedure I was being billed for was a covered benefit, but no bill has been received) and 4 calls to MRD to finally have it submitted 100% correct. The MD office takes a photocopy of both sides of my insurance card and I would like to believe they read it and know what data to enter in to submit a clean claim. read more

Most of the negative reviews have to do with billing issues, which is probably outsourced by the company. What's important to me is the quality of the equipment, the support staff, and the doctors. In the end, isn't that what you're there for? For the stuff that matters to me, this company is top notch. I'll deal with any billing snafus as long as my family and I get good images and reports. read more

I was never billed for any services, I have never been to this place and suddenly I receive a bill from a collection agency for $150. Called the phone number provided. I was told that it was during my visit to the ER 9 months ago, when asked why wasnt I billed for whatever services I was being charged, I was told they billed the insurance company but never got paid, so I asked how come I was not sent a bill for whatever the insurance company did not pay, I was told "I dont know sir you to call them ask them", so I called and was on hold for 33 minutes. I finaly decided to hang up. I went to their physical location all I was told was they cant help me there have to call the billing deoartment. MRD has changed forever. Their billing is outsourced to the Philippines and they know nothing about HIPAA compliance. Calling the office is horrible. No one picks up the phone ever and the phone hangs up on you. I would never ever use them again. Sadly, I am trying to resolve a bill with them to bill my Aunts secondary insurance and they are incompetent. They used to be ran so well and MRD were doctors that cared so much. It appears they are probably retired or completely detached from what is going on now. Find another option for your imaging needs, as they are falling apart billing and systems wise. Last summer, I had an ultrasound done at a Providence facility. This was referred to me by a Providence physician, and I am a Providence employee with insurance through Providence. A couple of months later, I received an email invoice from this organization claiming that I owe them $234 for a separate procedure that was not covered by my insurance. I did not have this procedure performed, but their invoice claims it was apparently performed by the same physician on the same date. After contacting MR&D via phone (after attempting their email contact,) I was told that I needed to get in touch with my insurance provider, which I did. Then I contacted the Providence billing department for the hospital where my ultrasound was performed. Nobody had any record of anything other than the ultrasound, so I had my insurance provider contact MR&D via conference call so we could talk it over. During this call, it was discovered that the Medical Record Number associated with the $234 procedure was one digit different from my MRN, and that this had resulted in the procedure being mistakenly billed to my insurance. The rep made the necessary change to the account and assured me that the matter was now resolved & that I would not be hearing from them again. About a month later, another email invoice from MR&D arrived, still claiming that I owe them $234 for the same procedure that I never had performed, and that they had assured me had been resolved. I contacted them via phone yet again and explained all of this to the rep, who couldn't explain why I'd been sent another invoice, but she noted the discrepancy and assured me the matter was resolved & that I would not be hearing from them again. Today, I received yet another email invoice from MR&D, still claiming that I owe them $234 for the same procedure. Clearly, this is a predatory organization that, like so many phishing scams, keeps throwing out lines in hopes of somebody not being aware of their medical history or insurance status & taking advantage of them. read more

They refuse to send claims to insurance companies and prefer to threaten collection not even 30 days after procedure. They go against all ethics, accepting referrals through insurance companies and hospital affiliations but refusing to bill anyone besides the patient. Similar story as the other reviewers. I was never billed for any services and received a bill from a collection agency for a scan that was done almost a year ago. They had billed the insurance company, but it was rejected. At least the hospital went to bat to me for its portion by filing an appeal to the insurance company, but these guys didn't bother to do the same for their portion, nor did they even have the courtesy of sending me a bill before going to collections. read more

I had pre-authorization for an MRI and CAT scan. 2 weeks after scans, they sent me a bill, due upon receipt. It showed my insurance denied both procedures. After complaining, which can only be done via email, and threatening to tell my doctor to stop using this facility did they call me. They said they billed a wrong insurance, hence the denial. I don't believe that is true. They didn't want to wait for the insurance company which they have contracted with-to pay them the agreed fee. read more

Harassed over a $50.68 bill. This is the second time in 2 years this has happened with this company. They have been given my insurance information, which covers 100% of the charges, several times but still send bills and leave phone messages. I have told my doctor to stop sending my x rays to this lab because of this. They are too impatient to wait for insurance payments and start billing immediately. I had some imaging work done by them for my hand. After getting very confused from them sending bills without a detailed explanation of what the fees where for and waiting to see what my insurance would either pay for or not pay for, I delayed in paying them. They then send it for collection to CMRE under Comprehensive Imaging Partners. Again VERY confusing! I paid it once I was made aware and now they will not authorize the negative item to be removed from my credit. This is the ONLY negative item on my credit. I pride myself on paying ALL bills on time. VERY disappointed in them! read more
