I made a new-patient appointment to establish a PCP and ended up seeing a nurse practitioner instead of the doctor. She was fine, but I never received a clear diagnosis or follow-up after my labs. I then got an invoice with no itemized charges; their billing system seems archaic. When I called to ask about the three line items given I'd already paid the lab separately, the staff could only say it was "just your office visit." Despite the high ratings on Providence and Yelp, my experience was disappointing. If you have options in the Orange area, I'd look elsewhere. read more

I've been seeing Dr Ehlich for a while now and wanted to get a recommendation into Yelp. Great humorous personality and I love his style, very conversational with my needs and we had a good gameplan set up for some things I need to handle. But here is the mic drop ( at least for me) You can get your bloodwork done ON LOCATION!!! You don't need to deal with Quest or whoever with a separate appointment, this is so convenient as I usually forget to go. For me this was new!! Staff was super pleasant to me, and billing was a breeze. Just wow is all I can say. Not sure what's going on with the staff, but boy have they gone downhill. I've had constant issues getting my prescriptions filled in a timely manner, and they always blame either the pharmacy service or said their computer system was hacked. I called again today and Dr. Ehrlich answered and was so condescending it was ridiculous then he actually hung up on me as I was in the middle of talking. My suggestion is to go elsewhere. read more

If I could rate this office zero stars - I would. First off, staff loves to spend free time gossiping loud when patient's room doors are open instead of tending to said patient. The office is cluttered and dirty. They are supposedly "renovating" but it just looks like a hoarder's house with stacks of paperwork and household items everywhere. Secondly and most importantly, I received a bill from the doctor's office totaling $415 for a physical and yearly exam when this is completely covered under my PPO insurance. I have tried calling the office and I was referred to a "third party" biller who is allegedly on the east coast but has a (951) number. Makes no sense. I have been trying to call her for three weeks now and nothing. Left voicemails with no return call or anything. Then when I call the office to get someone else or figure this issue out internally, the line conveniently goes straight to voicemail stating the office is "currently closed" when it is during THEIR POSTED business hours. Ended up calling my insurance provider and the representative states the doctor is clearly overcharging/charging whatever he wants to double dip because that $415 charge is not owed to him. Insurance had already paid him and covered all necessary expenses. Will never come back here. Do not recommend at all. Do not get scammed out of your money for shitty patient care. Go elsewhere - where they actually have your best interest and health in mind. read more

I was a patient of dr ehrlich for several years. During this time period I received the same office visits, with the same treatment, over and over again. There was minor improvement. When I stopped scheduling appointments, I received an email from dr ehrlich stating i was overdue for my physical. When I mentioned I had not scheduled any appointments because I was not happy with the results from the same therapy over and over again, he did not ask what the issues were, or mention there may be another form of therapy to try. He immediately responded asking me where to forward my medical records. Not a care or concern of how we could have tried another form of therapy, or how his care could be improved, or what the issues may be. Basically I wasted several years attempting to build better health under his care and guidance. I should also mention that there was one occasion (that I know of) where I caught them attempting to overcharge me a $600 dollar copay. Of course they denied knowing anything about it because they conveniently use a third party billing company. It took me getting my healthcare rep involved before they would finally admit they overcharged me. read more

She made an appointment for me to have a physical with this doctor and the secretary called to inform me that , "We do not do physicals for new patients, so I will have to schedule a follow-up appointment." This sounds like an attempt to milk my health insurance, and waste my time. Also, she had to call to reschedule my initial appointment from a Monday to change it to a Friday. When the secretary called me, she mispronounced my name, and asked, "Do you plan on making your appointment today?" I laughed, shrugged off her initial rudeness, and apologized for thinking that my appointment had been rescheduled for a Friday. The secretary said that she had no record of my appointment being rescheduled, and said that she would change it to that day. That's when the suspicious practice of not performing physicals for new patients was brought to my attention. Update: The same secretary called on a Thursday to confirm my appointment for Friday, this time calling me Mr. Will. I reminded her that I had cancelled my appointment the last time she had called. She asked, "I thought that was Monday's?" I told her, "No, I cancelled all appointments, and I do not want anything to do with this doctor." She replied, "Got it, bye." read more

Dr Ehrlich has been my doctor since the 1990s and has always provided thorough treatment for chronic back issues and TMJ using osteopathic manipulation. He is readily available for acute issues such as shingles (I called on his day off, he called immediately, and called the pharmacy to get my treatment started asap. He is invested in patients ' overall health and actually listens to what concerns the patient brings to the table. His referrals have been excellent as well. He is great doctor and his staff have made me feel welcome from my first phone call to this day. He is available to his patients 24/7. His personally concerned for each patient. A few years back I was in the hospital and was having some serious problems. I called him at 8 pm and told him what was going on. He was there in 20 minutes. (He was not the admitting doctor but the nurses would not listen to me.) WARNING: looong story and possibly TMI to follow. So I had the same doctor for almost 20 years, and because his practice changed to a "boutique" structure, I had to find a new doctor. I was having a particularly difficult time with heavy and painful and frequent periods. To the point where I was miserable half of the time. I am the type that powers through sickness, I get things done and don't complain. But this was different. Nothing worked for the pain, pain relievers, heating pad, ice, nothing helped, and the flow was so heavy, that I had to wear overnight pads/Depends, and bring a change of clothes (just in case) just to do a couple of errands. So, in the midst of this, I was looking for a new dr. I'd look up reviews online, check qualifications, then go for an appt. The answer I was getting was "this is menopause, it's different for everyone." I tried different treatments, mainly involving different doses and timing of Progesterone, which not only did not help, but also added new symptoms such as breast tenderness and bloating. So I just did nothing for a little while longer. The final straw was when I was at a college visit with my son and, even with all of my precautions, I flooded right through my clothes and had to run to my car, missing the rest of the tour. Luckily, my husband was there also, to cover for me. That was it! I did some MORE research and found Dr. Ehrlich. He really took the time to listen to me, and take me seriously. I wanted to be done with this and wanted a hysterectomy. He actually supported me. I had spent over a year, at that point, suffering. So, I met with a surgeon who recommended an ablation and removing a small polyp that was found during one of the ultrasounds. Another recommended a DNC. But in both cases, I felt like it was not enough, and I would likely be back for a hysterectomy, costing myself, my family, and my insurance time and a lot of money, and also postponing solving the problem. Again, dr. Ehrlich was supportive and encouraged me to ask questions and advocate for myself. I remembered Dr. Linsey, the OB who really helped me through a complicated pregnancy including minor surgery and 2 months of bedrest in the hospital. So when i called his office, I learned that he had retired, but Dr. Fiorentino could see me. I looked him up online, and he had great qualifications and great reviews. So I made an appointment. I told him my story and we discussed all of the options. I explained that I felt that a DNC or an ablation would likely not solve the problem and i didn't want to end up having two surgeries. I told him my family history and fear of cancer, and we decided to schedule a hysterectomy and also biopsy that polyp. (What?! Why hadn't the other surgeons thought of that?) so the biopsy took about 5 minutes (right there at that visit) and was no more complicated than a PAP smear. So I was finally satisfied and could see a light at the end of the tunnel. Then, a few days later, he called me, and said I had Uterine CANCER! What?!!!! So ... change of plans, he referred me to the best gynecological oncology surgeon he knew, Dr. Brown. Thank God Dr Fiorentino thought to do the biopsy. A hysterectomy with cancer is more complicated and requires specialized care. So when I went to Dr Ehrlich for my pre op checkup ... he hugged me, and sat and talked with me about what I was facing, and even gave me copies from a book on cancer with some useful advice. So, I had a complete hysterectomy, it was a robotic procedure. The cancer was stage 1 and had not spread. I would need no further cancer treatment. My recovery was quick and without complications. I was walking around the house after a few days, and back to normal routine after two weeks. My scars are almost imperceptible, smooth slightly darker pink lines, about a centimeter long. I feel so liberated, and like I dodged a bullet. I am now PAIN FREE. I am so grateful for Dr. Ehrlich for listening, guiding and supporting me. Also grateful to dr. Fiorentino and Dr. Brown for their excellent care. Dr. Ehrlich's office runs smoothly (short wait times), the nurses are professional and friendly, and he always has great music on. :) As a doctor, I believe he will look into your health a little deeper, take more time to listen to you, and has a casual, easygoing personality. read more

Dr. Ehrlich is one of the nicest people I've ever met; yes contrary to Will W. they do physicals for new patients. I've been seeing them for over a year now and couldn't be happier with the treatment I've been given. Both of my parents also see him as their G.P. and are also completely satisfied. Dr. Lawrence Ehrlich D.O. has served as Chairman twice and Vice Chair of St. Joseph Hospital Department of Family Medicine and on numerous committees. In 2007 he also earned his Law Degree. He is a highly skilled physician who cares about his patients! He keeps everyone's privacy and cares about making a difference in people's lives! His office accepts all sorts of PPO Insurance and a few HMO's, but if I were you I would call and ask first prior to booking an appointment just to be clear. I've never had trouble when making an appointment, the staff is always friendly, when having blood drawn or anything of that nature it's nearly pain free because his staff knows what they are doing! I've even had my daughter seen by him and have been completely happy! So, don't take Will W's word for much just because one person had a negative experience shouldn't make a difference because you cannot please everyone 100% of the time and that is just reality! read more

It is refreshing to have a physician who really cares about his patients. He is funny but tells you what you need to hear. Staff is very nice and helpful. My other doctor became a "boutique" and wanted 6,000 a year plus my medical coverage. Wow, who can do that? He is also the first doctor that will take a call nights or weekends and really help. Dr. Ehrlich is the BEST hands down. He is my and my husbands doctor and he is ALWAYS there for me. If I have a migraine headache and call first thing in the morning he lets me come in and gives me a pain shot if I need it. ANYTIME I call there they accommodate us. I have called there at 4:45 pm when I stepped on a nail and needed a tetanus shot and he said come right down. He is very sympathetic but he tells it like it is if you need to hear it. I am so thankful I found him...his staff is super too. I can recommend him with NO hesitation. He is also amusing and entertaining, he actually makes me feel better when I leave.
