Two of my friends recommended Dr. Rae so I gave the office a call in desperation. They were able to get me in to see Dr. Rae within hours! Everyone from the front desk to the doctor himself was friendly and warm. We set an appointment on Monday for an extraction after weighing all the options. On Thursday the pain was so intense that I called the office to see if there were cancellations that I could sneak into, there weren't but I was told first thing Friday morning (they're typically closed). I went in for the extraction at 10am and sat back down in my car to drive home at 10:40am. I never knew getting a tooth pulled would be such a pleasant experience, but Dr. Rae and his staff showed me that dentists don't have to be feared. He explained every step and what to expect along the way, making me feel prepared and at ease. I am so happy to have finally found a wonderful dentist in Deland! After getting a root canal, I was told to go to a dentist and have them remove the temporary…read morefilling with a permanent one. The root canal was done through a bridge that had been installed over a decade ago. After they installed the permanent filling, 5 days later, my bridge fell off while I was eating. I called back with the problem and was told to come back and they would reattach it. After a lot of "prep" work, the reattachment charges were over $500 and 30 days later it came off again. Needless to say, I wasn't going back there to let them try again and CHARGE me again. The competent dentist that did reattach it said they almost destroyed one of the teeth that was an anchor, making the reattachment difficult. STAY AWAY AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I got up to walk with them and the hygienist quickly and intentionally closed the door in front of me, To which I had to race over and open the door as I was walking as well, we were both met with a bit of confusion and she just said bluntly "I don't have any room back here for you." Wasn't nice about it. Didn't really care when she said it. Absolutely rubbed me the wrong way, and once the necessary procedure is completed, I'll be sure to not return or anyone that's affiliated with me. Too many red flags here besides the constant push for upselling that I've already heard so much about with previous visits as it stands. You guys got to do better, and work on your customer service, seriously.
