A family member had recommended this dermatologist to me since I was looking for a dermatologist to go to. When I first called it was easy for me to get an appointment. Once I arrived for my appointment I was greeted and had to fill out new patient paperwork and give my insurance your typical standards. After I completed everything I was called back very quickly. The doctor had came back and answered the questions I had and pointed out things before I got to it. He was very informative and explained things to me to where I could understand it. I love that I did not spend a long time in the office. The customer service was great and I did not have any issues. The office is nice and clean and easy to find. I called this office asking about a chemical peel, and the person who answered did not know if they did them so she said she needed to ask someone. She came back on the phone and said they did not. I told her that I thought this was strange--that this is a dermatologist and it is advertised on their website. Then she told me the website needed to be updated and that it was wrong. When I questioned her again, she said she had asked a medical assistant but now she would ask a nurse. Evidently, the nurse said they did do peels. When I asked her why she did not know what services the doctor provided, she told me she only works at the front desk. I asked to be connected to the nurse--and then I was placed on indefinte hold. What doctor has staff who work in their office yet has no idea what services the doctor provides? read more

Dr. Obeime, to whom I give my highest recommendation, has been my dermatologist for several years. He is prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and has a great bed-side manner. He has a great staff who always make me feel welcome. I have had several conditions that Dr. Obeime has treated and i have never had to have a second visit; he is accurate with the diagnosis and the treatment. I have referred others to him and they, too, have raved about him. His office is clean, modern, beautifully decorated. There is free parking in his office's parking lot so no fee's and no long walks! This is breaking my heart that I even have to leave such a negative review, but I would not recommend Dr. Christopher Obeime to anyone! I have been going to him since I was 12 years old so a little over 13 years. I first went to Dr. Obeime for a bad rash and mild acne from adolescence, and he was very wise and sound on his decision making involving my treatment. He would sit and speak with both, my mom and I, and discuss what would be the plan to get me to where I wanted to be. I continued seeing him through high school and leading to college. Once I went off to college, I saw him maybe once or twice every 1-2 years, just when my acne flared. Recently in my 20s, I've noticed that my visits with him have been very minimal. He would stay in for a 5 minutes at most and leave me with his nurse that would be left to answer my questions. Recently, I had to switch my antibiotic because the one I was on is on back order. Upon taking the new med, my face and body began to break out into a rash gradually. I didn't know what was wrong but within a month in a half, I knew I had to go see him. When I made an appointment (making appointments there is the hardest... you're sometimes on hold for 15-30 mins at a time. Not even the receptionist fault, she is literally only ONE PERSON), he recommended to stay on the antibiotics but gave me new morning/night time topicals. Fast forward 2 weeks and my face looks even more broke out! I go back frustrated because, 1.) I'm a recent college graduate trying to afford everything LIFE and can't afford to go to the doctor every other week. 2.) I knew I would be given NEW things to take which would equal more money. Mind you, the stuff he gave me in total was $150+50 bill for visit. When he came in, I tried explaining what was going on and he immediately said, "that's really rare that you would get a rash... but I'm not saying you can't." Then, I tried to explain my frustration and just wanted him to listen. He immediately got defensive and treated me like what I was saying was below his knowledge and years of practice. It was frustrating because I wasn't trying to be arrogant or a know if all, it's just been extremely difficult trying to get my skin clear and figure out what it is. I ended up leaving his office that day in tears because he sat and went in on me for 6 minutes and as always, left me with his nurse. His nurse is always helpful and knowledgeable and knew where I was coming from. He ended up giving me another medicine that was in the same FAMILY as the others and it did the same thing. Finally, my mother (who's a NP) did research and found that both antibiotics have RASH as a side effect. It's really sad because I'm a teacher getting ready to enter the school year and I hate dealing with this issue. I just hate how my doctor who was once so kind and receptive became someone so rude and impulsive. Really sad I have to leave him after nearly 14 years, but that was the final straw. read more

Went in on November 30th to get a rash (folliculitis) on my back looked at. My appointment was @ 1400 and they did not get me back into a room for 45 minutes. After waiting in the room for 30 minutes, someone came in and started asking questions about my medications that I did not have the answers for. I was under the impression it would be on my referral information, they did not have it, so either the the information was never sent or they misplaced it. After some back and forth, they left and said they would get a new copy of it. More time went by and nothing had happened so I reached out to the individual who referred me and had them refax it over so they had a new copy, it is now after 1500, 1 plus hours after my original appointment. After dealing with the back issue he also stated that the moles (previously aware of) on my stomach could possibly be cancerous. They wanted to do a biopsy, he asked his nurse if they had time, she said yes and we moved on and they said I should have the results in 12 days max. It is now 1600, at this point I started to lose my patience and asked them when they would be able to do the biopsy as it has been 2 hours. They basically said they were busy and it was an unplanned procedure so they had to work me in, not at all how the previous conversation went. At the end of the day I waited to see the biopsy through and left the doctors office a little before 1700. It should not take 3 hours to conduct this minor visit / procedure. It is now December 12th (13 days later) and I have called 2x asking for an update and they have told me the same story, they are busy. Hire some more employees so that your customers do not feel like a burden trying to find out of they have cancer or not. Beyond bad service from a health care provider. read more

I was looking for a dermatologist and came across Dr. Obeime. I've seen another dermatologist before and that was a complete waste of time with no results. Upon initially meeting Dr. Obeime, he was very friendly, professional, and respectful. As I explained my symptoms, he immediately described the condition that I came in for. Went to Dr. Obeime as a referral for hair loss. Best thing I could've done. After a few short months I've started to see a difference in my hair. Less shedding and noticeable hair growth in the front. Not gonna lie...those scalp injections hurt like hell in the beginning. Tolerable now. I had the best experience today at Dr Obeime's office. I called to make an appointment, and I was able to get in within a couple of days as a new patient after I expressed my concerns with the scheduler. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly . I had to fill out paperwork, and as soon as I was finished I was promptly taken back for my appointment. Dr. Obeime was great! He was so kind and knowledgeable. He addressed all of my questions and concerns. He was even able to do a small procedure the same day. I didn't have to come back for a second visit. I left the appointment feeling great! I'm switching dermatologists because Dr Obeime makes fun of me and does not help. My acne is not going away, and Dr Obeime says it is my fault. Rather than considering possible causes or anything I can change to help it, he suggested I talk to my psychiatrist about starting cymbalta because that might help me stop touching my face. I disagree with him on this - there is something truly happening with my skin. Yet I can't go to him about it because he won't treat it and might even laugh and say something similar to what he said last time I went in for a visit - "Look at you. You look terrible. How can you go home to your parents looking like that?" It's upsetting not to be able to talk to the dermatologist about skin issues. read more

Early this year, my skin suffered a bad reaction which I later found out to be melasma. As a social services worker full time and a part time model, this has greatly affected my self esteem. Prior to meeting Dr. Obeime, I met with another dermatologist at the Eagle Creek location that prescribed me hydrocortisone. At that time, I was informed that I had a case of eczema and advised to apply hydro cream to my face for 2 months. Unfortunately, my skin condition seem to worsen. Therefore, I decided to google other dermatologists for a 2nd observation. That's when I found Dr. Obeime from a simple google search. Upon meeting Dr. Obeime, he was very welcoming and he had pleasant demeanor. He made me feel better about myself within minutes of meeting him and reassured me that his treatment recommendation would offer me positive results. This was my first time visiting this dermatologist. From start to finish, I had a pleasant experience at Dr. Obeime's office. I was greeted professionally and the process of completing paperwork was simple and efficient. His nurse was AMAZING! She was attentive and put my mind at ease. When Dr. Obeime came in, he had a Med Student with him. He listened to me and was teaching at the same time. He also has a great sense of humor which aided in maintaining my comfort level. I'll say Dr Obeime seems to be a great Dr, knowledgeable and understanding... the low rating however is due to his staff which leaves much to be desired. I'm going to start with the receptionist, front desk girl...whatever her title is.. Caucasian young lady with glasses and brown hair. She is extremely rude with a nasty and off putting disposition. She makes you almost just want to cancel your appt and go somewhere else which is terrible for the actual Dermatologist. The other ladies, whom are African American don't seem as bad as she is in the way of nasty attitudes, they just kind of stare at you rather than greet you as a new patient which I found rather odd. But my focus here is the front desk girl... I aim to find out her name and do a formal complaint because I have never felt so insulted during something as simple as checking in for an appointment at a medical facility or otherwise. Words of advice to Dr Obeime, if you want your business to flourish, either have a talk with this young lady about her customer service skills or rather lack there of, and how to properly deal with your clients (in a respectful and pleasant manner) or replace her, because I assure you after I left I asked around to my friends who referred me as well as others who I know have been to Dr. Obeime and they all have the same complaint about her.
