We've been by this place a number of times, they never look like they are open. They have no phone,…read morebut you can order online. It was a thurs afternoon, supposedly they open at 3. We drove down at about 4:30, my gf went in to order a pizza and check the place out. She came out and told me the person said it takes 30 minutes to get their oven hot. My gf orders and they say to come back in 30 minutes. There's nothing much in the place, it's take out only. There's no real ambiance, you can't even watch them cook. We sit in the car and wait 30 minutes, nobody goes in the place and nobody came out. Nobody texts us or emails us. 30 minutes my gf gets the pizza and brings it to the car. It's lukewarm, we drive the 1/4 mile home and by then it's cold. Is it good pizza? Well...we had to put it our oven to heat it! The dough was good, it seemed to be cooked right, kind of an unattractive pizza, no spices or anything on it and haphazardly put together. And...pretty expensive for the area, too. Forget the 2 five star reviews, those are fake reviews. OK...I'm 70 years old, 1/2 Italian, I've eaten this type of pizza before. Here, there, and everywhere. It was good, but average for what I've eaten in the past. Here's the problem with this type of pizza. You have to eat it hot from the oven, and then there's maybe a 10-15 minute window of opportunity to enjoy it. That means you are never, ever...ever going to get a hot pizza from this place. Waiting 30 minutes is just crazy when it only takes like 3 minutes or less to cook these things. The range of this pizza being hot is about as far as the Post Office or so. The people in the Chinese restaurant, the police, the people in the auto parts store and maybe the workers at Athol bank are about the only people in all of Winchendon that are going to get hot pizza from here. My advice is to at least put a few tables in the place. Have the oven ready, nobody wants to wait 30 minutes for a pizza. Get a phone so people can call for info. I like fancy food, but I can't understand how this place can survive when there's already a lot of pizza available.

There is a couple that are not of my liking but that is my palette not the pizza themselves. Since this place has opened, I have had pizza almost every weekend there. (Sick from covid once and knee surgery the other) My top 3 specials are.... 1) Sugar Shack 2) Chicken bacon ranch 3) Mac and cheese or pulled pork Mac With many more to follow that. These are not your 6.99 pizza from that national chain. So worth the price. You won't be disappointed either.

I was delighted to discover that their food options have expanded with two food trucks outside the Brew Barn -- one being TimberFire. The enticing waft of wood smoke from the brick pizza oven in the back -- mounted on a cart for transportation! -- immediately piqued my interest. But it was the chalkboard sign announcing that gluten free and vegan options were available that made me jump in line (and jump for joy). That magical combo of GF crust and dairy free cheese is still not that common, and it's even harder to find ones that taste good. Since I have a gluten sensitivity and am allergic to many forms of dairy, I was intrigued to try. The Tall Man and I each ordered one of the specials, The Fungus Among Us, which features mushrooms (of course), caramelized onions, and garlic cream sauce. He got the full gluten and dairy experience (aka refused to share in my limitations), while I got mine on GF crust and vegan cheese. In lieu of the sauce and their other alternatives (I also can't eat much tomato, and their pesto has parmesan), I suggested straight up olive oil to stick it all together. I was already holding up the line with my multiple questions, but they were very friendly and were happy to answer while busily stretching dough and checking on pizzas in the oven. 20 minutes later, we picked up our pies plus one for friends. (Unlike the Brew Barn, which will text you when your food is done, TimberFire calls out names so you have to stick close by.) Verdict? Delicious, especially straight from the oven on a chilly fall day! They used a premade GF crust, but one that had a pretty good crispy texture when fresh. Vegan cheese was all melty and creamy, so I didn't miss the sauce at all. The mushrooms were fantastic and generous. The Tall Man really liked his version of the pizza, reporting the sauce to be clutch. Our friends' Fresh to Death (aka margarita) pizza was pretty good, maybe not as wow-ing but satisfying both adults and children. I was quite happy with my pizza's flavor, but wish it were larger for the price ($18 per pie), with the GF one being smaller (10"?) than the hand stretched counterparts. They're closer in size to a medium pizza elsewhere. The Tall Man easily finished his whole pie in one go, while I ate half and saved the rest for leftovers. Thin crusts, that are hand tossed, good base sauces and they have more choices than typical red. They also sell slices I believe until 4 most days, which is fantastic if you are hungry and don't want to commit to a full pie. The pizza is really the star of the menu at this Pizza place. They also sell beer and I think wine for consumption on premise.

The staff here are very friendly and i love the new layout and the brightest lights in the back room. I do wish they had kept the board games but I'm glad they kept the pay it forward board. The pay it forward board allows you to buy a meal or pick a meal someone has bought. We ordered a couple small pizzas. My daughter had a cheese pizza with light sauce and I ordered a bacon and jalapeño with light cheese, we'll done. The crust is definitely much thinner, but the sauce was really good. First time there, my spouse and I had the eggplant parm sandwich and the chicken tenders sandwich, seasoned fries, and onion rings. It all survived the 10-minute trip back to our office still hot and didn't get mushy. The fries and onion rings were flavorful and crunchy. The bread on the sandwiches was a little chewy, but the fillings and sauces were excellent. The chicken tenders were perfectly cooked with a nice crunch to the breading. Ketchup is served in small lidded containers, which I really appreciate (can't stand messy packets). The next time, I tried their Italian sub. Very tasty and a great price with three kinds of meat and a wide array of toppings. Quickly served, and the counter help was very professional. All items were wrapped with care, and you can tell the cook takes pride in their work. I will definitely be back!
