Friendly service with great prices! I wish their donuts were slightly sweeter though. Specifically the Apple Fritter, it could use a more apples and a thicker glaze. My usual order at any donut shop is ham-and-cheese croissant and/or a blueberry donut. So I do know a thing or two about a good croissant. Seeing how many people raved about the Christy's ham-and-cheese croissant really had me curious and the verdict is in: I really enjoyed the jalapeño ham and cheese croissant!!!! Honestly one of the best ham and cheese croissants ever. It's so well-balanced in savory and creaminess from the ham and cheese and the croissant has a good fluff and sturdy texture that brings the entire croissant-eating experience together. Each bite is heavenly where you don't get flavor fatigue. (Yes, that's a thing). The lady working, perhaps Christy, was friendly and ready to help right when you step in. I also tried their blueberry donuts and it didn't disappoint. It felt light and not heavy on the donut? Sometimes blueberry donuts can be too sweet and heavily coated with sugar. Christys blueberry donuts were tasty, light, light crisp where it should be and felt well-balanced. A cozy donut shop with the classics. The place is right next to a gas station, good amount of parking for someone who went at 11 am. For someone who wakes up late, being able to snag a jalapeño ham and cheese at 11 am before it was all gone was miraculous. Ontario local for years and I've only recently started visiting this place as it is the closest in the area and easy to access. I definitely won't say their donuts are the best like many other posters are saying, but they definitely aren't bad. They're just average for a donut. I'm basic and just get the chocolate and glaze. I do feel like they could slab a bit more chocolate and DEFINITELY more glaze on their donuts, but they are sizeable, bigger than your average that you would get at a chain store like 7-Eleven or Yum Yum. I will say that if you come here later afternoon/dinner or later in the night like I have a couple times, the donuts had been "sitting" so be aware that they technically are not fresh at all. Not only that, it appears they only make a certain amount per day so at night, there are very few selections left. Just the other night I got there around 8pm and they had 2 chocolate and 1 glaze twist which I got, both stale to some extent. But for a place that stays open till midnight...so yeah. The cashier did say that the best time to buy actually fresh donuts would be the AM of course, around 6. Anyhow, I can only recommend this place as a quick spot if you are craving donuts, but you are better of looking elsewhere if you want quality, fresh, and more varietied donuts. read more

Ok, full disclosure, I'm one of the California transplants that moved to Texas. I love a lot of things about Texas, but one thing that grinds my teeth is Texas donuts. You'd think donuts are the same everywhere. Let me tell you they are not. Donuts in Texas taste different. The dough is not the same. It's not as fluffy and it's not as white in color. I can't put my finger on it, but it's better on the west coast. So whenever I visit my friends in Ontario, and they live walking distance to this donut shop, you better believe this is where I'm sneaking off to whenever I can. Always fresh, always tasty and always good. Not to mention they're open past 1:00pm, unlike Texas donut shops (I just don't understand why they close so early). Very disappointed n today's $52.00 purchase. Was hoping to brighten other's day by bringing them donuts and jalapeño's cheese n ham croissant sandwiches. You said the croissant was still warm. I wondered because usually the gentleman grabs them out of the oven. Instead you grabbed the three in the case. They were not hot/warm they weren't even luke warm. Unfortunately they were hard and tasted stale. I can't speak on all of the two dozen donuts bought because they were handed out but the one I tried which was the chocolate bar was flat and full Of grease. I usually like coming here and usually I always get great customer service from the gentleman and the young lady. However, this morning the older woman who helped us was just not friendly. One thing that I really like about Christy's is they offer sprinkle raised donuts not just sprinkle cake donut. Racism from immigrants towards Black Americans needs to be studied because it never makes any sense. And like most racism, it's subtle, small and can almost go unnoticed unless you catch it. But I caught onto it yesterday morning at Christy's Donuts. Now the only reason I stopped here is because the usual donut shop I go to, Donut Xpress (which is less than a mile up Archibald near the 60 freeway) was closed for some reason. I guess it hadn't opened yet. So because of this I decided to stop at Christy's and try them out. I had seen it there for years and had never gone so it was a perfect opportunity to give it a try. When I walked in, there was a couple that was being helped; the man was ordering a bunch of donuts and donut holes while the wife sat at one of the tables waiting on him to finish up. To the right of us were a group of older men having their morning coffee and chatting it up. I was next so I stood directly in front of the counter where I could be seen; another man walked in and stood behind and to the side of me so he could be seen as next. One of the two older Asian women behind the counter continued to help the couple with their big order, getting the donut holes together and then going to check them out. The other older Asian woman, who was helping with the couples order, stops and then comes over to, what I assumed was to help me with my order as I was next. Then that subtle racism I mentioned, happened. Leaning on the counter, she calls out "Next!" Now remember, I said I was standing directly in the middle of the counter where I could be seen so that they knew I would be next. Not only that, there was only me and one other customer waiting. Why is she saying next as if there's a line or crowd of people in there waiting? While she says this, she won't look directly at me, even though, again, I'm standing directly in front of her and looking straight at her. She looked around me, as if I wasn't there. Only when I said "Hello" with the inflection of "What the hell are you doing?" did she look straight at me. I ordered my donut, paid and left. Suffice to say, I won't be back here. If you can't treat all customers the same and with some semblance of respect, and you're treating them differently because of the color of their skin, you shouldn't be in business. Since we are new to the area. We have been trying out different donut shops to find a good one. I found this place on Yelp. The pictures made the donuts look good but it wasn't at all what it look like. We were so disappointed. The donuts were lacking taste and texture. We got the their 18 donuts count and asked for 6 of them in a separate box. Instead of charging us the price listed for the 18 counts, she charged us separately for the 6, which is fine if she was tell us that to begin with. We got some sugar, glazed, and coconut donuts and there was clearly not enough of any of those things on it. The flavor in the donuts where so plain. The customer service was not friendly at all. My sonwhonis not picky and willing to give any place a change agreed the donuts were very plain. Needless to say we will not be coming back here. read more
