Probably the biggest disappointment. This place was overhyped. If my rating was based on service alone, this place would receive a 5/5. I loved the staff, they were all so kind. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for everything else. Was a big fan of the Century City one the first time that I went and was impressed by how "fancy" it was in comparison to other boba places. Again, it was the first place I was introduced to those slim 3 piece flute straws that make you enjoy more of the tea's flavors. More Chagee's have popped up since then and this is the first one I've been to that was not inside of a mall or shopping center. Very spacious, lots of parking, very aesthetically pleasing inside with the warm lighting, and lots of seats and tables with outlets so people were studying, working on stuff, or just hanging out. Restrooms have a number code and was very clean too. It's opened fairly late at 10 PM which is pretty nice. There's not much out here that can measure up to Chagee time wise and tea wise, so it's fulfilling an ecological niche for this area. You can always order from the front, or you can download the Chagee app and rack up points on that and pick up from the counter. Didn't take too long for my drink to come out, nor did it take too long for my friend's. Out of morbid curiosity, I got something I usually would never get, the CHAGEE Daydream. Awful mistake, not going to lie. Like any other special drink you get at other tea places, you can't make too many customizations or changes (at least not in the app), so you can only get this large and the sweetness is either normal or less sweet. No option to take out the whipped cream, change the amount of caramel drizzle, etc. This drinks is essentially an oolong milk tea and caramel Frappuccino. Sounds like it might be good right? Unfortunately, even at less sweet, it was way sweeter than its Starbucks counterpart. To the point where I couldn't finish it and it's living in our fridge as a sweetener for my brother's black coffee and my friend almost gagged (held back due to the amount of people in the cafe). Like, I get it, maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but a place can truly be an amazing S tier tea place if I can throw a dart on the board, order anything and have it be super good. The overall shop is pretty large with plenty of seating, but it is definitely almost always full of customers and people studying, so make sure you order ahead of time. I was excited to hear that Chagee had a presence in Southern California, so I made a trip up to Ontario just to try them. The interior seemed spacious and airy, with no lines around noon on a weekday. The menu showcased a selection of premium teas and lattes. I placed a to-go order for the Amber Oolong Latte and Boya Jasmine Milk Tea. I was warned that the sugar level is drastically lower than other tea shops, and I heeded the warnings. I'm typically a 50% sweet type of person, but I ordered the tea at 100% sweet just in case. Increasing the percentage ended up being the right call. Boya Jasmine Latte: Some flowery flavor, but it seemed a bit watered down compared to other spots I've frequented. What's nice is they allow one to substitute oat milk for free. Amber Oolong Latte: I'm not familiar with amber oolong, but it had a subtle roasted flavor that I enjoyed. This tea flavor came through a bit more than the other tea, and I thought it was drinkable at 100% sugar. Unfortunately, the amber oolong latte was deemed not sweet enough for someone in my party who typically orders 70% sweet at tea shops, so we asked them to provide more sweetener, and they did. I also dont like how they have plastic cups here for some drinks vs the usual chagee cups used in asia. Met up with my wife's relatives for a get-together and we all went to stop by at this tea place called CHAGEE TEA. This tea place is so packed, I guess it's new in the area. We tried their COLD and HOT drinks. The moment my wife tasted the drinks she said it's a very good quality drink, I agree with her we can really taste the tea or the flavor of our drink as described in their menu , both drinks are very smooth, pleasant drinks . Inside there are merchandise for sale that's also available, like tumblers, mugs, bags, blankets etc . This place is located in the same lot as Sam's Club, Staples, and Dave's Hot Chicken. There's not a lot of parking spots in front of it (about 9). I secured a parking spot and waltzed inside, excited to get some tea. I checked out the merch and then decided not to get anything. The cashier didn't greet me or anything, but her first words were if I had the app. I said yes, and without hesitation, she said click on the bottom right corner and scan. I like efficiency, but she needed to slow down! I'm not sure if it's been super busy or anything, but I felt rushed. I decided what I wanted and told her I was going to order a Ceylon Milk Tea Latte. She asked what size and I told her a regular size. She showed me the two sizes, but I stuck to my answer. I also ordered a peach oolong tea, sweetened. She put in my order, but both of us forgot to mention the size for the second drink. She asks me after I paid, what size I wanted. It was too late and she tried to correct it and give me a refund. I didn't mind, because, what are the chances I'd like it and wanted more? She ended up not refunding me. I sat and waited for my order. They gave me a bag for both drinks and I grabbed their straws. Their straws were interesting. I went into my car to try out their drinks. After a sip, it's safe to say, thank goodness I never waited in any line to try drinks from this place. To my disappointment, they don't have toppings. My next disappointment is how the drinks tasted; my milk tea latte tastes of only milk and no hints of tea. I tried the peach oolong, and it tastes like water with a tiny hint of peach. No essence of tea. I'm not sure what the hype about this place was, because the tea was not it. I am confused about this place. My go-to tea is Jasmine so I always order it at each place that I try. I asked the worker if they had toppings and she said no and that the concept was just to enjoy tea as it is... I was thinking, okay sure, if you have really good tea then maybe it could work but we ordered a regular jasmine and jasmine milk tea and they were so light that we could barely taste anything. I was really excited to hear that Chagee opened a location closer to me. I've been to a few different locations before and they've all been consistently good. What I really like about Chagee is that they focus on the quality of the tea rather than just the toppings like a lot of other boba shops. This location could honestly compete for the worst service out of all the Chagee locations I've visited. I came in around 11 AM 5/20/2026 on a Wednesday, and the cashier's attitude was awful. It did not reflect the level of training or hospitality I've experienced at every other Chagee. Every other location has always been welcoming, patient, and caring. Here, it felt like she couldn't care less about my order and was just rushing to move on to something else -- even though nobody was behind me in line. Her tone was rushed and rude the entire time. She kept pushing me to continue ordering before I could even finish speaking. Right after I completed one order, I mentioned there would be 4 total, and the interaction just became even more unpleasant. Overall, it was a horrible experience. Honestly had never heard of this place prior to seeing an opening on social media for their grand opening. So I thought I should check it out. It's located near Ontario Mills mall and in the same Plaza as the Sam's Club. So keep in mind that it can get kind of busy. There's a Dave's Hot Chicken right next door too which always has a line. Needless to say, there's a small parking lot right in front but several spots still available, you may just have to walk. Upon entering I noticed how clean and aesthetic it all was. The ambient lighting, wooden fixtures, and the modern furniture really elevated the experience. The workers were kind and patient in explaining things and providing drinks. There was a bit of a line, but it moved fast. There was a limited menu than even what is available on the online menu. My family opted for the peach oolong tea in the different types (pure tea, iced latte, hot latte, and with lemon). Personally, I loved how refreshing the Pure Tea version was and was not sweet at all. For the latte version, the hot was preferred as it enhanced the oolong taste that was perfectly complimented by the peach. The Peach Oolong with Lemon was the sweetest of the variations, but still refreshing with that citrus taste. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! But I don't think it replaces my number one sweet little drink spot yet. read more

So happy that there's a CHAGEE in the IE now! I went to the grand opening this morning and it was very organized. Employees were friendly and efficient. I like that they limited the plushie blind bags to one per person. My drinks were yummy and I loved the grand opening freebies! read more

I've tried the amber oolong tea and BOYA jasmine green tea. I was able to adjust the level of sweetness but I prefer the BOYA more because I can taste the tea whereas the other drink it's very subtle. I drank it with their straw, it's a small two holes "double straw" which is a unique take on sippin on the tea. The employee said BOYA was the popular drink and I can see why. The cup design is very artsy and shop gives upscale boujee vibes. The service was quick and employees were helpful and friendly. However, for the price you're paying for it's more for the vibes than high quality of tea. I was expecting more of the drinks to be packed with the strong tea flavor or something special. I would say overall, feels elevated but not quite premium. read more
