Run away. Charged me twice the quoted rate for the work performed and the work was satisfactory at best.

Called these guys because their number so happened to be on the thermostat that needed to be…read morereplaced. Told me that the thermostat I was using was no longer manufactured, which wasn't true. And seems that the only one they had on hand to install was going to cost me $500, which retails at other stores for $200. However, I really had no other choice to get the one they had as going out to get a new one would have jacked up my per/hr rate beyond the cost of the overpriced one they had on hand. Found out a few weeks later after the install that the new thermostat wasn't working (wasn't in the house for a number of weeks). They were going to send out a tech to look at it and was told if this was thermostat related I wouldn't be charged the $188/hr for the 2nd trip. Apparently they way the thermostat was installed, it was causing a breaker in our two phase system to trip and not work. The fixed this by converting our two phase system into a single phase unit so it would work with the thermostat that they initially installed. However they proceeded to bill me over $300 for the tech being there for just over an hour (which should have been $188/hr....which is already a ridiculous rate as it is) to fix an issue that was CLEARLY thermostat related. But here's where this get's even more ridiculous. When I question them about how much I was charged for an hour's worth of work and that I was even charged at all because this was thermostat related, they fly off the handle over the "AUDACITY" that I have to even question the amount I was charged or that I was even charged. So to summarize: 1. I got completely ripped off being overcharged for the install of a new thermostat; which I found out that a replacement faceplate on the old (which is still made) one would have worked. 2. Got billed for over $300 in service time when the tech was there for less than an hour at $188/hr (which is an outrageous rate to begin with). 3. They didn't live up to their warranty to not bill me for the 2nd trip if the issue was thermostat related, which it was. Now the tech who worked on my system was great. Had no issue with him at all. Knew what he was doing and didn't "burn the clock" just to jack up the service time. Just be weary of what they are billing you for equipment and service time afterwards if you use them.

I ordered a Hot Water Heater from Home Depot who contracts with 1800HEATERS for the installation…read more They in turn sent someone from Hall & Sons plumbing. At some point before the technician left my house he broke the window pane in my son's bedroom (the hot water heater is located in a closet). He never said a word to me about it but placed the broken pane on the floor behind a portable AC to the left of the window itself. I called 1800HEATERS immediately after the technician left and I discovered the broken glass. I was told that a customer service manager would call me on Monday morning. No one ever called. I called at 1pm and spoke with Eddie who would not provide me with his last name. He was quite rude and implied that it wasn't broken during my installation because I "didn't hear it break". He then told me that he was submitting the information and that I would have a resolution by the end of business day. Again, no phone call was received. I called back the following morning and was told that the manager would call me when he arrived at 10am. He called and was again extremely rude and condescending. He informed me that a damage claim was already filed with Home Depot (which turned out to be another lie) and that there was nothing else he could do for me. When I asked who I should contact at Home Depot or what department he told me that he had no idea who I should call and didn't provide me with any further information. I would NEVER use this company again and recommend others to stay far away!
