Just bought our brand new 2020 Pacifica from Chrysler of Culpeper today! It was our 4th purchase of a Dodge product but first time at CoC. I have mostly positive things to say and then a few typical items to share: 1). The good Wyatt was our salesperson and at only 21 yrs old sold us his 13th car for the month of June! He was a damn fine salesperson and he felt like very low pressure and relaxed with us. There was no sense of stereotypical salesman pushiness or arrogance. We enjoyed this young man alot... we recommend visiting him for a decent buying experience! In addition, the sales process was relatively easy and they worked well with our needs and requests. We walked away with the vehicle we wanted and with the monthly payment we needed. 2). The typical There were two cars that were identical and priced $700 apart due to "battery replacement" on the more expensive one. Think what you will of this. Sales manager was nice enough and we enjoyed working with him. But, when it came to looking at the extended warranty, the price was always his best price... until he "shifted things around" and found us like 3 more best prices. We were almost convinced to buy one but remembered that companies are ALWAYS offering extended warranties because they want your business, so we will wait and purchase elsewhere. Just seemed shady. Lastly, the wait on the sales manager to crunch their numbers is mind numbing and stupid. Folks, we have computers in 2020 and things should go faster. This is why people goto Carmax! All in all... we bought our vehicle here because it was friendly, local, competitive and we enjoyed Wyatt! read more

I took it back and it needed both cv axle joints. The repair was almost $1500 and I had to pay half! Along with a lot of other folks, I have a rather biased feeling about auto dealership service departments. Let's face it - when you read customer feedback on most of them, you want to limp away as fast as your repair-required vehicle can carry you. But last year, after having received numerous notices & then TWO phone calls from Dodge about the ongoing recalled dangerous driver's side airbag problem in my RAM 1500 pickup (which I purchased used from a small independent used-car dealer), I finally stopped procrastinating & made an appointment for this to be taken care of at our local dealer. Not having spent a whole lot of time in dealership service departments, I was taken aback at how pristine the service area was. They have a separate vehicle "check-in" area, & I swear you could eat off the concrete floors. I was immediately embarrassed since my truck, which is definitely a "working truck", looks like a family of monkeys has been living in it most of the time. I did clean out most of the flotsam & jetsam, but still. They cheerfully checked me in quickly, & advised me that I was in luck, as they had just gotten in the parts enabling them to fix the passenger side airbag as well, saving me a return trip. In fact, I'd be their first for that. Work was finished in just a few hours, free of charge of course since it was a recall issue. I did have to laugh at the paper inserts they put on the floor to "protect them". Talk about putting pearls on swine - lol!! In addition to this visit, since my husband is an experienced auto mechanic himself, he's purchased a few items from this dealership since then in order to make a few small repairs himself on my truck. The WORST service department I have EVER had to deal with. when I purchased my car I paid extra for an extended warranty so everything would be covered and I would always have a rental if my car was in the shop. I have owned this car now for 3 years I have had in the shop 6 times and every single time they tell me they have no rentals available. And this wasn't just a one day thing they would keep my car 1 to 2 weeks. The service department never answers the phone and always complain they are behind EVERY SINGLE TIME I have taken my car there. Not to mention how rude the service department is as well. I pass Culpeper when I visit my family. This isn't a location that would be convenient all the time, but I drive by it each time I am in the area. My windshield wipers needed replacing and it was raining. I asked how long I'd have to wait to get them replaced. The service area took me immediately. I only paid $5 more for new wipers than I would have at Advanced Auto parts at home. It took longer to add a new location on Yelp than it did to install my wipers. The waiting area is clean. I wasn't there long enough to sit in it. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is nice. read more

Stay away!!! Service manager called and said I was no longer welcome at the dealership due to a bad review. I went in with a tire sensor bad and wanted a quote. I was ripped off with a diagnosis fee that the sensor was bad. No crap!! Sad that poor management can destroy a company!! read more

Worst experience from day one. They lied multiple times. Falsified titling paperwork for the DMV. We walked out with one name on the registration since only one person signed the documents for the title and registration but later when we got the paperwork from the DMV, two names were on it. This cost us extra money in the long run. Later when they owed us money, we were told multiple times this was already done and taken care of and in the mail. Ten days later we had to drive 3 hours one way to go to them to pick it up since it was still on the owners desk, needing to be signed! read more

Final Price? The "final price" for their vehicles is not the actual final price. Buyers beware, this is tactic to get you to contact them. However, don't fall for the proverbial "banana in the tailpipe." They will "haggle" you and inflate the costs to make a profit. I'm a young middle-class white male trying to live my best life. I tried to negotiate a price for a RAM 2019 and the sales person tried to add more costs to the final price. First, the buyer should not have to pay for destination fees, preparation fees, or any fees associated with the vehicle getting to their dealership, the dealership is reimbursed for those fees by the manufacturer, yet, they will try and charge you, the buyer should not charged for those fees, totally absurd and asinine. Federally laws prohibit certain practices, but this dealership works around those law (e.g. DOC fees!!). Don't buy from this dealership, they leave no room for negotiation, remember, there is more than one dealership! Don't be scammed by salesman who are trained to "take your hard earned" money, they could care less about you at Chrysler of Culpepper, they want your money, period! Purchased brand new truck that has several issues. Scratches in paint, scuffed interior dash and console whom sales man stated was from detailers most likely. Truck was never properly detailed, since we picked up late and noticed next day how poor of a job that was done. Factory issue from bumper mount, and even rust. I worked out a deal for a car with Jeff Johnson and Jim Delgado, but they didn't follow up, pretended they weren't available when I called, and didn't return voicemail messages I left for them over two days. They must have decided not to honor my price and they sold the car out from under me to someone else. They give used car salesmen a bad name, and that's really saying something. You're better off going elsewhere because these guys cannot be trusted. I was searching for a very specific year/model Jetta (with special features) that were proving difficult to find out in Los Angeles/California/West Coast. Ended up finding the exact car I was looking for at Chrysler of Culpeper. Sam was fantastic. He arranged to have it taken to the nearest Volkswagen dealership 45 minutes away from them to undergo the Certification check, sent me additional photos, and even Facetimed me so I could get a better look at the vehicle all prior to my committing to purchase. Once I gave him the go-ahead, he shipped all paperwork overnight for me to sign, and rather than mailing the signed documents into the DMV, their title-accountant-registration-person went to the DMV herself so it would be handled immediately and I could receive the paperwork within my 30-day temporary registration. Sam also helped coordinate with the shippers for pickup, and when the car was delivered to me, it was in even better condition than I expected for a used vehicle. When we sat down to look at numbers we knew the taxes and tags and processing fee would be added to the price but when have you ever heard of a dealership CHARGING FOR ACCESSORIES ON A USED CAR?!? $989 worth. The salesperson said all dealerships add that. I said I have never experienced that, he said they add it in ahead of time. Maybe so but when a price is posted online I only expect it to go up for processing fee, taxes, tags, not to go up another $1,000 for hidden things once we get there! I would give them "0" stars if I could. We purchased a 2019 dodge challenger on August 27th, 2019. Our vehicle is still not titled and they passed the title paperwork on to the finance company out of state to complete. However, they only sent the finance company the certificate of origin 40+ days after the purchase date. By Virginia law, a dealership only has 30 days to apply or title. When we and the finance company called on 6+ occassions to get the paperwork, they evidently thought it was not necessary. When I asked Jim Delgado, sales manager where the C/O was he stated it was in their safe. Not until after, I told them I had spoken to an attorney, did they even bother to mail the C/O to the finance company. They refused to complete the paperwork and stated they didn't collect the sales tax. Our 2nd set of temporary tags are expired and they refuse to give us a 3rd one. As of October 29, 2019, the vehicle still has not been registered. The DMV has now returned all the title paperwork back to the finance company because Chrysler Of Culpeper did not even fill that out correctly. So we recommend you stay away from this dealership completely. read more

Dishonest in my opinion. We were seriously considering buying a truck there that was advertised as certified pre owned. The sales person was young and knew nothing about the truck, but he said he got the warranty info from his manager. They left out the certified warranty info and he looked at the car fax, and told us the maintenance was up to date, but he didn't bring us the car fax. Calling there is also an issue. Couldn't find the sales person on the list and his cell number didn't work. I called like three times before I was able to get a person and he blamed the lack of candor about the certified warranty on the inexperienced sales person. We feel they tried to cheat us. Wanted to sell us a warranty and didn't include the certified info. My son liked the truck, but dealing with what we feel is another dishonest and shady dealership is not something we are interested in doing. And the sales person kept harping on how nice the car we drove there in was. I guess that our car was what is considered an expensive brand made us easy targets in their eyes to scam us into paying for a certified warranty without getting the certified warranty. It started when we bought a used Jeep, they slipped in a $2,400 extended warranty which we did not ask for. I knew the total was $20,000 but I thought it was for the tax, processing fee and tags. The Jeep cost $16,500 plus the $2,400 for the extended warranty, tax,tags and processing fee. After we signed the contract they turned over one key, I asked for the other key and they said only one key came with the car, if I wanted another key I would have to pay for it, my wife wanted her own key so we paid $150 for the other key.The warranty was good for 18 months, the air conditioning stopped working and the warranty had expired. They charged us $1,461 to fix the air conditioner which lasted 2,300 miles,we took it in again and they charged us $281 , that lasted three days. Then they wanted to charge us $2,600 for a new compressor and rear evaporator,new lines which they already had put in one week before.I would not recommend this place ,we are never going back. read more

If I could give this dealership a negative amount of stars, then I would. Leased a Hellcat on Nov.8th 2018 and since then it has been a nightmare. My trade in has yet to be paid off at the bank due to numerous mishaps at the dealership and this has forced the account into delinquency and has now damaged my credit. The payoff was magically sent and deposited, but the bank has no record of this occurring. My new car is still not titled or registered after two months and I am driving around with plates that dont match my new vehicle. I would highly suggest getting a lawyer before you go to this dealership to buy/ lease a car to protect yourself in advance. As a side note, this is my families 7th Mopar and I will never do business with this brand or dealership again.
