This place reminds me of the burrito joints that I frequented in Texas. Mexican food in a quirky space. I ordered the pozole which was OK. The nachos that my wife had were better. I think this place gets pretty busy at night after the bars kick everyone out. The posted hours are until "Close".

Really nice spot in the downtown area for a good lunch or dinner. I had a bowl but they also have build your own tacos, burritos etc . Everything was great and warm and served by friendly staff. The price was also reasonable for a downtown trendy area. Don't hesitate to eat here.

I had just read a raving review of this place and told my partner that we really needed to go ! So when I got off work Sunday, indeed we did. It was around 7pm, the entire restaurant was empty. We went up to the counter and waited several minutes before the workers quit chatting to greet us. The set up was very similar to chipotle - which I wasn't expecting all. I ordered a burrito with white rice, pinto beans, chicken, queso, onion, and pico. The burrito was HUGE - I honestly couldn't wait to dig in. However, the flavors were underwhelming. My rice wasn't cooked thoroughly. My chicken was dry. The queso was suuuper good (although I was unaware it costed extra). I would probably go back just for some queso and nachos. I also ordered an horchata - I heard theirs was pretty good and I am a fiend for horchata. It was honestly subpar. The aesthetic of the place was super pleasing, though ! It's like 50's diner meets 80's arcade meets little Mexican restaurant. In the front there were also hanging chairs with some cloud decor - I fell in love with them immediately ! Maybe just a bad night, but I don't think I would come back.

Chubbies Burrito 8.8/10 (rice, pinto beans, chicken, steak, chorizo, onion, queso, salsa, sour cream) like WOAH didnt see this coming. First off it was literally the size and weight of a newborn baby. Secondly it tasted delicious, didn't skimp on meat or queso which I was nervous about (I think she didn't do the chorizo or sour cream but didn't care). Would most definitely get this shin. Queso 6/10 would not get again. Overpriced for portion size. Really thick.

3 Steak tacos with salsa on top.

This review will only be about the food and appearance of this place. I ordered three flour tacos with steak and salsa on top. I did not know what to expect when eating this meal. I was bedazzled. The food is good and I did not get much. If their tacos were this good with just two things on it- I can only imagine how good the rest of their menu is. I entered the restaurant, but I did not sit down. The ambience of the place is nice. They have these seat pods that hang from the ceiling that you can sit on. Their restaurant is small but it seems like a good place to sit down with friends and eat. All in all. I would recommend this place if you were to get Mexican food. Tacos in particular since I have not tried the rest of their menu so take a bit of what I say with a grain of salt.

Not your cookie cutter Mexican food like Chipotle, portion sizes are large and the food is good. I'll warn you it's easy to over order. This last time I had the Chubby burrito and I only ate half before I was stuffed. The burrito had a choice of Mexican rice or plain, black beans or pinto, and the had steak, chicken and chorizo followed with onions, queso, and sour cream. They also have quesadillas, nachos, and burrito bowls

Great food! Love their queso. It's better than Chipotle's queso. Their burritos are HUMONGOUS.

REALLY good burritos and some good chips and queso (not too spicy but enough too make it more then just cheesy flavors)

Comparable to Chipotle or Qdoba however the food tends to be much better and better service. Hard to go wrong when ordering here.

TLDR: Love it. Visited today for breakfast with a friend, and it wasn't busy when I arrived, but was surprised at how many people arrived as we ate. It was a workday, and I thought there might be some breakfast meetings taking place, but the crowd trickled in a bit later as the morning lingered. Coffee options abound. As do smoothies and 'wellness shots' which aren't my thing but if you'd like a shot of healthy greens and a spice I've never heard of, enjoy! I had black coffee and it tasted better than most breakfast shots. They have a wide variety of lattes and other fancy custom options like the strawberry shortcake latte, etc. Ordered the breakfast burrito (sausage) and it was very good. I think I had the hangover burrito before (same thing but with gravy on top) and would opt for that one again next time. I had the strawberry banana pancakes at a prior visit as well, and remember them fondly. My dining companion had biscuits and gravy and said they were good. He is a man of few words. For dinner, they have a great menu that is 'latin flavors' as they say - everything from traditional Mexican food you'd find elsewhere to Argentinian options and more. They have great food. On a nice day, the patio is great other than the street traffic noise. This is a great option if you're wanting to get away from the other Mexican restaurants in town but still want something along those lines.
