    ACP

I ordered the ACP and a strawberry basil mojito. The ACP hit the spot, cheesy, and delicious... exactly what I wanted. The mojito was light and refreshing with that little hint of basil that makes it feel extra fancy. The place has a cheerful, colorful setup that feels bright and fun, and there's a TV if you want something to watch while you eat. The vibe is easygoing, the food came out quick, and I'd definitely come back to try more things on the menu.

This is THE go to Taco place in Raleigh!!! But check out Durham too!! Awesome drink/food specials M-H- I'm a regular and it's like Cheers when we come here!!

I LOVE chubbys tacos, I moved to Raleigh from Clayton recently and was pleasantly surprised to see there was another store not far from where I live here in Raleigh. The service was great all around and the birria tacos were fantastic along with everything else.

The tacos are delicious. It also came with free chips and they had a salsa bar. The birria tacos were packed with flavor and ingredients. They had a good amount of birria in them. The service was quick here. We were one of the only ones in the restaurant when we ate, but they got the tacos out within 5-10 minutes. There were booths and high tops to sit at, so a great amount of seating throughout the restaurant. You place your order at a counter and it is brought out to you. Salsa is self-serve, so you can get as much or as little as you want. Overall, this place had a cool atmosphere with music playing the whole time, and is a nice little spot to go to whenever you're in the mood for tacos.

A beautiful Wednesday evening. Great to eat outside. Staff was exceptionally nice and polite. And, the taco's--I had the steak fajita taco with rice and beans My companion had Carna Asada and Al Pastor. She loved them. Don't forget the Plantanos Marudos! Love this place!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! I sent my employees here for their lunch break and it has to be by far one of the worse if not the worse Mexican restaurant we have ever been too. The peoples attitudes, and Service was just as disgusting as the food, and they call themselves authentic. I don't even have to say much look and read the other reviews. The customer come first and should always be shown respect. Then the prices are ridiculous. Keep up the good work guys, without Customers you guys aren't nothing remember that. Hate to leave bad reviews but you guys are unbelievable.

First time checking this place out and I ordered two tacos and made it a combo. The combo sides I chose were refried beans and rice. I didn't really care for the rice it was like Spanish boxed rice. The tacos were good though ,I got the spicy carne asada and a chicken one. I did try out there salsa bar and tried a few spicy sauces. They also have a bar in there so I'll have to check it out next time I'm nearby

I ordered the birria tacos and they were amazing!! The flavor was great, didn't taste greasy, and the cheese pull was wonderful! The staff was also very sweet!

The Tacos here were very solid. We enjoyed what we ate, but we also feel like we've had better tacos at other places around the city. They were very tasty, but the meats in them were not bursting with flavor like they are at some places. We felt the same way about our queso dip as well. The best thing about this place was that the employees were very helpful and kind to us. The interior decor, was nothing that drew us in. It was somewhat darkly lit and the advertisements printed on the table made it feel cheap. I would go back to give it a second chance, but with so many taco shops to try in Raleigh, I'll probably be more likely to try something new.

I walked in and there's a section to walk over to for takeout orders. I was directed by one of the patrons to go down to the other end that the gal was there. My order had made its way to them but she couldn't figure out how to input the order into their computer system to start making my food. Waiting 5 to 10 minutes for my burrito and two different taco items to be prepared I had a false expectation that my food would be hot. I got out to the car and decided to eat immediately. I got a spicy carne asada and a pork taco and the meat was dry and overcooked and lukewarm. I should have known that when I opened the container and the tacos had spelled all over the place to lower my expectations about the food taste and quality The inside of the restaurant is and what would be expected from a popular taco place in an extremely busy shopping center. They are a chain and I'm assuming that when they earned best tacos in RDU it was either not at this particular location or the reviewers announced their arrival so that the food could be specially prepared for them. I'm not trying to say that it's easy making good tacos or burrito, but serving lukewarm food and charging $27 for an oversized order so I knew I wouldn't leave hungry, I really expected more. Now I gave two stars because enough people of apparently enjoyed this place that maybe I just came at a bad time at 2:15 in the afternoon on a Thursday. Maybe I need to give them another shot. But there's a hell of a lot of competition out there and I would really have to feel inclined to roll the dice a second time on something that failed epic the first time around. Those of you who follow me on here are aware that I rarely slam a restaurant and that I've been around and trying many different types of cuisine. For me to be so taken back by this meal it should speak to how disappointing it was. My personal suggestion is if you're thinking about chubby's tacos for the first time, I'd look elsewhere.

It never came. After waiting, we had to flag down a server walking by, who eventually brought one--only for it to be broken. It then took another 10 minutes before we finally got a functional highchair. Throughout the visit, the staff seemed far more interested in talking amongst themselves than actually paying attention to guests. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The worst part came after we left. I realized almost immediately that I had left my wallet behind and called right away. Instead of any sense of urgency or willingness to help, the host who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. Before I could fully explain the situation, she cut me off and told me to "call back tomorrow." When I tried to quickly describe the wallet--color, contents, anything that might help--she hung up on me mid-sentence. Considering I called almost immediately after leaving and was brushed off so quickly, it raises serious concerns about whether any real effort was made to locate it. I would hope any establishment would take something like that seriously. Between the lack of attention, the disorganization, and the way a simple, time-sensitive situation was handled, this place clearly has serious issues with customer service. I won't be back.

When you arrive there is parking in front of the restaurant as it's located in a shopping plaza. When you walk in you'll feel like you've been transported to a trendy, energetic, and coastal beach restaurant. There are also TVs at the bar if you are looking to watch sports. We checked in with the host and opted for a table. To start we ordered the queso (Smoky queso, pico de gallo, fresh cilantro) and added the smoky chorizo. The queso was very good and had a great smoky flavor with a little spice. You'll want to order an appetizer as chips are not complimentary. For drinks my partner ordered the strawberry mojito (Bacardi limon, mint, lime, soda, strawberry) which was good and on the sweeter side. I ordered the Desert Fire (Jalapeño infused lunazul, triple sec, chipotle simple syrup, lime, spicy rim) which was on the spicier side but was so good. For mains my partner ordered the Mahi Wrap (Blackened mahi, napa-romaine mix, fresh avocado, honey chipotle sauce, Caribbean salsa, grilled flour tortilla with seasoned fries) which had a nice balance of flavors. The fish was a bit overcooked but the seasoned fries and flavors made up for the dry fish. I ordered the surf & turf burrito (Grilled shrimp, marinated steak, queso rice, grilled onions, pico de gallo, queso fresco, baja crema, topped with habanero onions & arugula, cilantro served with black beans) topped with the tomato cream sauce. The sauce had a nice smoky flavor and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. As for the steak, kind of the same issue as the fish where it was overcooked/cooked well done. For dessert we ordered the Sugar churros (Whipped cream, caramel dipping sauce) which were served piping hot and they go perfectly with the dip. We ended up stirring the whipped cream and the caramel sauce together. I definitely would stop by salt & lime cabo grill for mexican food but would opt for just shrimp as the main meat vs mahi or steak. Looking forward to my next visit to salt & lime.

Had to ask her for that after about a 10 minute wait after she cleaned off the table. Outside of that, very friendly and attentive. The ACP had very thin slices of chicken which was nice, but not as much cheese as you typically see in other restaurants. According to the server, you do have to ask for some flour tortillas on the side if you want them as they don't come by default. The Pollo Tropical had a nice thin layer of chicken breast covered in cheese.... tasty. The margaritas were good and have a smear of taijin on one side of the rim which gives the drink a little spice. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. Definitely would recommend it.
