Here to celebrate my son's birthday
    Val W.

This location has some of the better customer service that I've experienced at a Chuck E Cheese's location. The staff today made sure to tell me about the More Cheese Rewards programs, which I didn't know anything about. Also, they told me there is a survey on my receipt that will give me free tickets if I complete it. The employee even said that she wanted us to have a "10" experience. She said if we don't for whatever reason, stop by and let her know. I'm not sure if the employee was a manager, but that was great service. My kids love this place even though it's really noisy, but what else can you expect from a place for kids. I like that they have hand sanitizer stations in multiple places throughout this establishment because you know kids are Petri dishes for all kinds of germs. The staff is normally helpful, but sometimes they seem like they want to run out of this place. (Honestly, I can't blame them because if I worked in this noisy place that was overrun by kids, I might want to run out at times too. Lol!) I love the hand stamping system, which helps make sure kids are leaving out the place with who they came in with. The food is okay. I'd say stick with the pizza because the wings are not all that great to me. My only small concern is that the tables aren't cleaned up as quickly as I would like. I'll definitely be back since my kids rather enjoy this place.

a birthday cake for chuck and cheese
    Lillian R.

We had my sons birthday party here this weekend. The decorations were cute and the planner for our party was nice. It seemed like everything was very rushed though. We didn't have enough time to open all the presents and it was hard to know when certain events were happening. We also paid extra for a Batman cake but they gave us a Chucky Cheese cake instead..They made a announcement for a dance off with Chucky and told everyone that wanted to join to meet at a certain spot.. our son was the only kid that showed up and they told him no.. that they were looking for a older kid because they are more entertaining. So my 5 year old was pretty sad.. they still didn't find anyone to do it serval minutes later and they told him no a second time... the food was good and the games were fun.

    Happy birthday

Over cooked. No cheese. Should of looked at pizza before leaving. Especially after paying $20 for a large. Won't be back.

We walked up the street with a half dozen other diners. Wooden City is definitely not in the best part of BHM. Walking to the restaurant was a little sketchy, no need for a detailed description. Although we had reservations, the hostess looked at us like we had three eyes. She found a small table for us in the far back of the restaurant. No problem, at least we were seated. Our server greeted us quickly and went over the menu. We ordered drinks, blistered Hungarian peppers and a sausage and mushroom pizza. We told him that we were going to a concert and were on a little bit of a tight schedule. By the time our server checked on our food, the second time, we went from a little bit tight to full "gotta get out of here" mode. I guess the delay in getting our food was to give the kitchen time to burn our pizza. Over half of the thick, chewy crust was inedible. The bottom of the pie didn't fare much better. The peppers, on the other hand, were amazing. (not so much so at 2 am but that's just me!) They are a do not miss. We were at least able to settle our bill quickly and made it to the concert with time to spare. Overall, would we go back? Only if in the area - those peppers were amazing. Still, I definitely would not make a special trip.

One could make an argument, and rightfully so, that pizza is not a dish requiring reinvention. Yet,…read morewe are humans, we cannot stop ourselves at the Neapolitan classic version, the iconic NYC slices nor the Chicago deep dish. Something within us, is tirelessly reinventing. Whether good or bad, someone else can decide. A real distinction of Pizza Grace is in its most fundamental element, and the aspect that one could argue to be the most important part of any pizza, period. Of course, that would be the crust. The crust here is created with wild yeast sourdough, called "Frank", resulting in a unique profile regardless of what later lands on top of the pizza. Let's pause here for just a second, is it not ridiculous having to wait 24-48 hours for the slow crust fermentation to happen? Apparently, the owners Chef Ryan Westover and his wife Helene didn't think so. Their signature pizza here is no less impressive either: topped with Louisiana crawfish, ricotta, Parmesan, mint and basil. It is a true star of the show. It's hard for most people to pinpoint exactly where they had the best pizza of their life, but this warehouse building in Alabama might just end up being that spot.

The pizza is just out of this world.. the sourdough crust just hits different! Lastly, we had the pistachio tiramisu which might be the best dessert we have ever had. It's what you might think of as a cheese pizza, the add garlic and fresh basil to the mix and it is a wonderful result. It's a hand tossed pizza with a fairly thin crust. The chew and the flavors are excellent. The staff are friendly, but don't wait on the tables, you order at the counter, they deliver you eat happily. They have TVs playing one soccer or F1 racing feed or another. It' is a European feel for sure. They have picnic tables indoors and a few small chairs outdoors with a bit of shade. Bring your dog for the outdoors maybe? My friends have done so. Capella has a large selection of bottled drinks, gelato and other Italian desserts. But the pizza is the headliner.

I was pleased that the had a large variety of options but even had gelato and desserts as well. Large pizzas run $21-$27 are thin crust. For pizzas, we got two of their Margheritas, Meat Buster and Palermo. They were all good and a hit at the family party. The meat Buster and Palermo had meat but honestly not a whole lot. They were good though. All the pizzas were lots of flavor and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. I loved that they had chili oil, extra dipping sauce, cheese, and peppers on the side for you to grab. While our time there we even had some gelato which was good and got some cheese cake to go. Our pizzas came out quick. The shop is very large with plenty of places to sit, even good for a large party. I loved that they even had plates on the table ready to go. This was a solid pizza spot and worth checking out if you prefer thinner crust.

Wife and I ate there before going to the movie. She ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. Noddles were cooked perfectly. Meat sausage covered the noodles, not like some places that but a ladle in the middle and you end up with more noodles without sauce. I ordered the Salvatore's Special Calzone. Won't be the last time. Crust was crispy, filling were abundant and extremely tasty. My wife mentioned that unlike some calzones this one was not greasy. It was very flavorful. There place is rather small with less than a dozen tables inside, and an outdoor covered patio. Very comfortable, friendly staff, and obviously everything cooked to order. This may well become one of my new favorite places. Looking forward to my next visit, and sorry I've missed the opportunity to eat here over the last 40 years or so.

I would usually take the 25 minute drive up 280 for my pizza. I have no idea how I missed this. Food: The sauce is the key. Weiher on the pizza or on the pasta. We always order a Meatball Pizza and it has been very consistent. My son and I had a Medium Meatball pizza and Cheese Ravioli Parm which comes with Garlic Bread. Service: The service is simple. You order at the counter, and they bring it to your table. Just like every other Salvatore's location. The manager was OUTSTANDING. I asked for the crust to be a little more done, and it was PERFECT. Ambiance: Super Casual and perfect for the food they make. Lots of table and for the most part very clean. Pizza is a personal thing. What I like, other don't or have their own special place. Now that I know Salvatore's is so close to my home, actually walking distance, I will eat there more often. As a matter of fact, we are ordering for pick up tonight.
