Me having the most fun at CEC.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ho, hum... another day, another trip to a local pizza market where animated characters sing & dance while delivering me my food, right? ... NO!!!!!!!!!!!! This place will, literally, Blow. Your. MIND!!!!!! I kid-you-not, they have dancing, they have singing, they have games! I've never been to Las Vegas, but I imagine it to be just like this place: a non-stop party from start to finish! A delight for all eight of your senses (yes, I included the sense of smell!)!!! If you go to the Chuck E. Cheese (the E. probably stands for "Enough, already! You had me at "Cheese"!) & you don't have the greatest time of your life, then you're probably a stupid!!

    Rana I.

I rate it three because it took so much time to get in and if you want to buy something you should wait for long time. Workers so slow. Rather than that games are good. Food it is not bad.

If it's your first time here, you'll need to sign a waiver, but it's a quick process. Then your child will receive a name tag, and you'll receive a pick up tag with your child's name on it. I will definitely come back for their camps and free play.

My 5 year old birthday boy asked his friends some questions (what are you building?)--he did more facilitation than the instructor did. Kids lost interest halfway through and the instructor did nothing to pull them in. Eventually she asked my son a few questions about what he built but didn't interact with the other kids. It's unclear why this cost $100. All they provided was a zoom link and a photo of a LEGO vehicle. I could have done that for free.

Our grandmother came to visit us from our home country, and she has difficulty digesting food. My mother-in-law wanted to take her for a walk, but it was very cold outside after a snowstorm. I simply wanted to bring her here so she could walk a little on the second floor. They were extremely rude when I explained that she had only been here for three days and that as soon as we received an email or documents, we would open the membership in her name. I said that later we would do the membership properly. They rudely demanded $50 just for entry. I explained that it was dark and cold outside and asked them to please let her walk a little just for today, but they were arrogant and rude right to my face. I would have understood if this had been explained respectfully and politely, but instead they behaved very rudely. This is a place that has been taking money out of my pocket for a year for nothing. That is why I canceled. I hope you understand that they do not care about your physical or mental health -- they only care about money.

I'm not trying to dump on this place, but as an adult I became pretty bored almost immediately. I find it extremely expensive to build a bear here. If you were just building a bear you would be probably having a much better time. But on top of building a bear you have to think how you want to dress it, name it, take care of it, etc. the list goes on. What you are paying for here are the licensing fees. A majority of what they have is tied to some other company. Whether it be Disney for Star Wars to Mickey Mouse or something for some other cartoon show that is on television. If it were a simple bear, I am sure the cost would be much lower. I do give it to the workers in here. They have the patience of a saint. Working around some the worst customers out there, toddlers. They all seem to have a calming voice about them and are able to tolerate just about any type of attitude that spews forth from these little ones. All in all, it's a great way to have a family day, and to calm those little ones you have.

Even though the things they do make my hands sweaty, I don't want to stifle their spirit or curiosity, so we often do adventurous things that I would never do when I was a young girl. One of those things was going on a zipline canopy tour in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. You're probably thinking, "That's nothing! Ziplining is perfectly safe!" And I'm sure it is, somewhat. But sometimes, I'm still that timid little girl who is afraid to get hurt. And I try to avoid doing anything that requires me to sign a waiver, wear a helmet, be strapped in by trained personnel, be high up off the ground, etc. So, yes, I was being a good mom and taking my kids to do adventurous things, but I let them have all of the adventure while I waited safely on the ground. Kids can zipline and traverse the canopy tour by themselves as long as they weigh at least 70 pounds. They also have to be able to make it the whole two hours of the tour. When we visited, it was very cold, and even colder once you get high up in the trees. If you visit on a cold day, bring some thin gloves and a beanie! The people who do the tours are students at West Virginia University. The three students we encountered on our tour were super knowledgeable and good with kids. They made sure my kids had all of their safety gear on correctly, showed them the basics, made sure they understood how to zipline safely, showed them what to do if they got stuck in the middle of a zipline (ay, dios mio!) and checked in with them throughout the tour. I felt like safety was of the utmost importance to them, which I appreciated. The canopy tour consisted of four zip-lines, seven platforms up in the trees, an aerial bridge, aerial ladder and a rappel station to exit the course. It was a fun time! No one died or fell and became paralyzed. (I mean, what kind of paranoid sicko would even think that sort of thing?!) The only thing I would do differently is visit on a warmer day. At the end, my oldest child said he couldn't feel his fingers and he was actively shivering. So, visiting on a warm day would probably make the experience a lot more enjoyable.

Before we embarked on the ziplines, we did a small, low-to-the-ground practice course. The guides made sure we all knew their hand signals and how to brake. My kids (ages 12 and 14) had a blast. My husband and I loved it too. It was a great family adventure.
