Fun place to spend time with the family. My son is one, so maybe a little young for these games, but we were looking for something to do inside so we thought, hey, why not. They start by stamping everyone with black light numbers to make sure you don't leave with someone else's kid. I think this is a great idea because most of the kids are running around without their parents. There are two areas, on the left is the younger kid section where there are small rides like the type you see at the mall and a couple of games. On the right there is the main area with the arcade games and stage. I really like this split because my son could play on the left without getting trampled. We came at about noon on a Saturday so I would have thought there'd be more people here. Either we lucked out or it's always only moderately busy, but it was the perfect amount of people. They probably could have had an additional person working the cash register for food orders, but the line moved pretty quickly. The pizza does take a while to come out, but when you're playing games, you really don't notice. The only thing is you need one person to stay at the table with the number so if you have a younger kid, it works well to have two parents there. They do have an unlimited salad bar that touts over 40 ingredients, but it looked SO SAD. I took a pic just because I found it humorous. However, the fact that they have an option is worth accolades, because everything else is calorie dense. Of course, we had to go with an XL pizza with a stuffed crust. The stuffed crust is so worth it. It tasted like mozarella in the crust. The pizza itself was pretty good - nicely seasoned. Three adults managed to eat the whole pizza. Honestly, we should have gone with a large, because that XL was a bit much, but we powered through. Periodically Chuck E. comes out and does a ticket throw, where all the kids gather around him and he tosses tickets in the air. It was a bit bizarre. I'm actually not a fan of that. I miss the actual shows when the animatronic Chuck E. and band would perform on stage. There was an animatronic Chuck E. on the stage, but I never really saw her move too much. There was only a video with kids/adults dancing, which was mostly ignored by the patrons. The prizes didn't look that appealing, but I think kids really come here more for the games and the little plastic toy is an afterthought. You can get unlimited playtime or tokens. We went the token route, which made sense because my son really used like five tokens for rides and then ran around the rest of the time. Most games are one token so 33 of them last a long time (which is the least amount of tokens you can get). I enjoyed my time here. We will definitely be back. read more

chucky was good. pizza was cardboard but expected that. attendance were absolute garbage besides the one that helped . Games were good, but you need special socks for the trampoline and slide area and I had to wait several minutes like close to 10 minutes while one attendant helped another guest at the counter to buy $10 socks per child so that they could go into area, and multiple employees walked by me, including the attendant that refused our children and we're not selling me the socks. Manager saw me and went and found someone who was apparently just sitting in the back so they could sell me these $10 per pair of socks, even though our children were in grippy socks. they're also should be sanitizer everywhere, but there's not read more

Our camp called Camp Sonshine Florida over at Abundant Life Ministries had 65 kids and leaders come to Chuck E. Cheese on Thursday, August 3rd for a field trip. I personally hadn't been to Chuck E. Cheese in several years and was so excited to experience this place with our camp. Let me just say that Desmond is the absolute BEST! It's not easy to get everything that we needed but he accomplished it with ease. We got everything paid for, registered and activated within the first 5 minutes of us being there. He took his time making sure we had absolutely everything we needed despite only him and two other workers being there. We ordered 16 pizzas for our entire group and they were fresh, hot and right on time for when we needed them. The kids and leaders have not stopped raving about how much fun they had today. I had a great time at this Chuck E Cheese. I felt super safe knowing that my kids couldn't leave with anyone else. They have really great coupons online. You can get two sixty minute game cards for thirty dollars. It's awesome you can choose that option rather than just sixty swipes. The kids go crazy and can run around for a whole hour. We didn't get any food but the pizzas that passed by looked pretty appetizing actually. Much better than when I used to come years ago. You can also, wait for it, get a beer! That was wild. Not a bad place to have kids play indoor. It's clean. I've had some birthday parties here and the kids have fun. I don't think the pizza is bad. I am writing this review based on visiting five arcades in the area: Chuck E. Cheese-Clearwater, Chuck E. Cheese-St. Petersburg, Treasure Island Fun Center, Xtreme Fun Center and Celebration Station. Chuck E. Cheese-Clearwater wins. I base my review on a family-friendly budget. This place is based on play time or play points. I bought $18 for my kids to play for 56 minutes, which the manager informed me that both my kids can use the same card. It was very clean, nice staff and tons of games played (about 40 games played). Also, my boys were able to get three toys at the end. I felt my money was well spent and I am very happy with the experience. The staff looked overworked, though. I spent $18 for over an hour of fun. As for the other places: Chuck E. Cheese-St. Petersburg- 4 stars- It needs to be updated, but is bigger than the one in Clearwater. The staff looked overworked and parking was hard to find, but it was a nice experience. I spent more money, because play time was not available only points. Treasure Island Fun Center- 4 stars- Our go-to place, as it is closer to our house and they have extremely nice staff. The games are costly in this arcade. For example, my boys played Jurassic park and it cost $1.75 per player to start the game and $.75 to continue the game per player. So I spent $5.00 on this game alone in 4-5 minutes. The cheap games are the 80s games I played as a child. I love Treasure Island Fun Center, but the best games are costly. Xtreme Fun Center- 3 stars- This place is very limited. There is barely any parking and games. This is a laser tag and batting cage place. It is not really an arcade. A nice place and staff, but VERY limited. Also, they only take cash. Celebration Station- 3 stars- This place rocks, as it has everything you could ever dream of in one place- Laser tag, video games, go-carts, bumper boats, putt-putt golf, BUT is very expensive and outdated. The good games are overpriced and the facility is very outdated. I loved this place back int he day, but it needs to be updated to garner the amount of money it is asking for. Again, I love this place, but unless you are ready to drop $50 per child, it is not affordable for a family budget. Saw some reviews on here that said it's dirty, well they must have taken the criticism and did a 360 because every time we come here it's clean, the bathrooms too. My kid and I were invited to a birthday party here a few weeks ago. This was her first time and the first time I've been in many many years. It was an unusually cold Florida day on the day of our visit, so it was packed inside with people hiding out from the weather. The greeter checked us in upon arrival and gave us matching hand stamp to ensure strangers can't run off with random kids. We met up with our friends at the birthday party table. There were a few gals in charge of helping manage the party/food/tickets etc. their attempts at service were decent overall and they had good attitudes, of course you don't expect 5 star restaurant service at CEC. Once we got our game tickets we went to go play. Many of the machines were out of order or too "big kid" for my 2 year old to be able to play. However we did find a few smaller games she could do, and she had fun with those. Unfortunately it was so packed in here. It's like the epitome of crowded, loud and crazy. I had a headache after a few minutes, just too overstimulating for me Anywho eventually the pizza came and it was okay. Again, I set my expectations low for this place and they were met. Don't expect a gourmet pie here and you won't be disappointed. Expect a kid friendly plain cheese pie, that's what you'll get. Then it was time for the CEC meet and greet and ticket grab thing - fun for the birthday kid. Finally we went to go cash in our tickets but we couldn't get much besides a pencil or small knick knack. I'm thinking it was about $20 worth of games we had paid, the idea here is more about the fun of the games rather than the prizes that you can cash in tickets for All in all this place is very outdated. I don't think they've done anything to update since I was a kid. It could use a face lift. I don't think I'd have my kids bday party here as it was just too hectic for me personally - but to each their own. read more

First of all I get it that you don't come here for the food. And it's a good thing because it's pathetic. The wings are slimy and Lukewarm at best. The thin crust pizza tastes like cardboard. And they must count the French dies because I think I got maybe 20 in a "basket" for $3. And the place is absolutely filthy, especially the bathrooms. I would give it a 0 if I could, went last night for the spook tacular event and it was nothing like the description. There was no glow in the dark anything, Chuck e never came out to dance and the food tasted like burnt plastic. My daughter which is 4 yrs old said daddy this tastes like poop. Came here for carry out during the COVID-19 shutdown. They had a deal for $5 bbq wings and pizza all with good portions and the food was very hot and freshly cooked based on orders. Our wait time was a lot longer than expected but the guy in front was nice enough to throw in a free pizza to compensate. Very good service overall and there's hand sanitizer at the front too. They also have heavily discounted snacks like cotton candy and lollipops for the kids. Highly recommend to stop by if you're craving something other than the typical fast food, especially if you have little ones who could use a change in scenery. read more

I had been avoiding introducing my son to Chuck E. Cheese because I knew there would be no turning back. Surprisingly though, it was much better than I expected. I paid $20 for 90 tokens (with a coupon on their website) and we played for probably an hour and a half and didn't use all the tokens. Yes, many of the games are dumb. Many of them would be semi broken, but if you ask an employee to fix it you end up getting a ton of extra tickets. The prizes are crappy but I wasn't expecting anything different there. Where can you take a kid on a rainy weekend afternoon and have a good time without burning your wallet? Here, of course! My son has a blast every time we come here and, honestly, I do too. The arcade has a variety of games ranging from games of chance to games of incredible skill. If I have to stick my tongue out to do it, than that's skill. We've had the pizza here as well, and it's actually pretty good! The only reason I'm docking a star is because of something I hate to see here: every once in a while (I never time it) they have Chuck E. Cheese come out and throw gobs of tickets into the air. It's fun and exciting if there's only a few youngin's gathered around, but when there's a crowd it's almost as if the kids go into Black Friday riot mode. This isn't Chuck E. Cheese's fault, parents need to control their kids, but I think they should do away with this ritual all together. Other than that, this place is as golden as the coins in your cup. This is the same location I went to as a child. It still is fun but everything is so expensive and such low quality. Toilets overflowing. The pizzas are more expensive than most pizza places. The play cards are a good idea so kids don't lose their tokens. I know kids used to steal them when I was young. But there is no great way to keep track of how many tokens are left on your card. I feel this is a major downfall. The games don't flash how many credits you have left after you swipe like Dave and Buster's does. I feel that would be a huge help for the kids read more

Great safe place for kids to play around and be .. well.. a kid :) There are arcade games, traditional ticket games and a large jungle gym to crawl around. The only thing that scares me sometimes is when the Chuck E Cheese mouse comes aorund --shudder... I read the reviews and didn't think it was going to be a good experience. We got there around 4 pm. It was a good time to go because it wasn't very busy and my daughter had never been before. It was clean and the kids working there were very helpful. It was my daughter's 4th birthday and I wanted her to have fun but I wasn't trying to break the bank. They had sales going on for the play cards. I got a 60 min card and 2 30 min cards and a small drink for 45.00. We didn't order pizza because everyone wanted McDonald's but my mother in law got some boneless wings and 2 orders of fries for 24.00. I think that's just to expensive but I guess it's part of the experience LOL Another plus is that one side of the place has games geared for smaller kids and my daughter loved the air hockey table. They waited at the counter wit other people for 10 or so minutes waiting for someone from the staff to come out to the counter even if it was to get token or prizes they decided to order something and was told they had to take it to go and that they were getting ready to shut the place down then the manager or what I think is the manager came out very angry looking and the 2 gentleman started to argue and the manage got very loud very fast and threatens to call the police when there was no need chuck e cheese is definitely in the wrong here and he should not have acted like that at all. WORST party experience ever!!! We chose to throw our 2-year-old daughter's bday party at Chuck E. Cheese Clearwater location because after recently giving birth, we needed everything to be easy and stress-free and what we got was the exact opposite. Our party was reserved from 12:30-2:30 and we communicated the time, date, headcount and any add-ons several times over the phone. When we arrived a little before 12:30, nothing was ready, no introduction from the host, just a point to the general direction of "table 7" when there was no party name or table numbers displayed. We were given one table with seats for the 16 children which left 6 seats left for 30 adults that they assured us they had room for over the phone. Our host introduced themselves after another 10 minutes or so passed, saying it's their first day so sorry for the bumpy start, said they were getting our stuff together and would ask the manager if we could have another table for our 46 guests, then left the area. When 12:50 approached, all our guests had mostly arrived and we had elderly people leaning against the wall with no place to sit, children running around with no cards to play with, no drinks, food, etc. We hunted down the host and the manager because we were growing more furious and embarrassed as every passing minute ate up our two hours of time for our child's party. We found the host hidden across the facility working on decorations and things in a corner. They refused to let us use the long table next to us because it was for a party starting after ours and decorated for 4, I repeat.. FOUR children to our 16 and they only charge for the children mind you!! They said they only account for the children, not the adults so one table is enough for us. They were STILL working on loading up the game passes for the children a half hour after the party was supposed to start and didn't even offer to make up for that missed half hour. Again, still no food, drinks, fun cards or seats provided at this point. They weren't apologetic at all, and actually acted like we were inconveniencing them. Every time we asked for more time or another table, they refused because they had to set up for the next party.. why is that future party more important than making the one in front of their faces happy? We ended up just taking over the other table after the manager reluctantly said he "couldn't stop us". The kids got the game passes and drinks over half an hour after the party started. Everything we ordered over the phone was lost.. 8 extra pizzas, cake order, etc, so they acted like they were doing us a favor by whipping up pizza and cakes last minute. We never got any refills on drinks so our friends and family had to bring up the pitchers to refill. We got no time with Chuck E. Cheese to sing her happy bday because they were still making our "last minute" cakes and they then dropped off the cakes on the table in the middle of 16 young children expecting us to wait for the Chuck E. Cheese show to end to sing happy bday to her?! The employees were mad we sang before the show because our 2-year old was of course crying wanting the cake in front of her. We cut the cakes and the children ate them with their hands because no knives and forks were provided. The extra 30 minutes the manager agreed to was of course forgotten and they came around at 2:30 to kick us out for that VERY important party after us. When the bill was reviewed, nothing was compensated, no apologies made. We paid over $500 for this experience and I expect at least a partial refund for the horrible treatment we received. read more

Ugh. It was a total zoo, which wasn't the problem. I ordered a salad bar, and a personal pizza for my daughter. First of all the salad bar had no lettuce, eggs, sunflowers seeds or croutons. Then it took almost a half hour to get the pizza. I spent $25 total which I think is way to much. I ended up leaving. About 10 min later I had crippling stomach pain that made me fall over it was so painful. You can imagine what I've spent the last 2 hours doing... yuck. read more

I did indeed have the worst experience at Chuck E. Cheese's. My 16 year old daughter and her two friends went for their time off for school. I walked her in, payed for the "play points" and left. The lady at the front knew I was leaving my child, but allowed me to leave. My daughter has the utmost respect for people and her friends show nothing but gratitude for people. Teenagers have the responsibility to be alone. But, I got a phone call insisting that I pick up my child and they were keeping the 3 kids at Chuck E. Cheese. As they were not allowing my child to leave, I had to commute through traffic to get my child, even though they were doing NOTHING. As my child recalls, "We went to go buy food at the counter, the lady interrupted our conversation to ask if we were over 18 or if our parent was there. Being the honest kids we are, we said no, and she walked away and grabbed the manager. He walked over and told us to sit down and we were not to move from that spot UNTIL our parents had arrived. They watched us carefully, then the lady that let us in said that my mom told her she was going to big lots, WHICH IS A LIE. SHE DIDN'T STAMP OUR WRISTS AND SHE WATCHED HER LEAVE." Beside the fact of this incident, the games are old and you should not trust young kids on them, the food was almost inedible, and they should care more about their cleaning efforts than their efforts to kick kids out under 18. We arrived with a large group of people. There were 61 of us which included students and staff from a local Summer Camp. We were suppose to have gone to the CEC in Tampa but arrived at the one in Clearwater. Regardless, Eric (the CEC Manager on duty at the time - 6/24/16 11:30 - 2pm), went above and beyond to make our experience pleasant and memorable. Our students enjoyed themselves and our staff and volunteers were relieved that we did not have to re-board the bus and head to Tampa. That would have taken another 40 minutes which would have resulted in less time to play for our students. The store is kept immaculately clean. The machines/games were found to be operational, current, clean, and engaging. The food was great - pizza was hot and delicious. The staff were very courteous and assisted us with whatever we needed to provide a great experience for our kids. Eric should be recognized and rewarded as he really did save us! Yay, Eric!
