Food was great BUT! One thing I will say is the dj who's in charge of the karaoke was racist and disrespectful. A customer came in with his family and decided he wanted to sing as well, after an hour went by he wasn't called so he went up and asked, dj said his turn was after 3 songs. More than 3 songs went by, I decided to go and ask the dj to help the customer out since his English wasn't as good. The customer never got his chance to sing and left disappointed, he even mentioned to me that this was THE THIRD! time it has happened to him. The most RACIT AND DISRESPECTFUL thing he did was change the Hispanic guys song on the paper without letting him know to "tequila" which if you think about it, what made him think that the guy wanted to sing that? What if he wanted to sing an English song instead? But going back to the Dj he was rude and had an attitude, not only that but he threw away my request to sing after I asked respectfully and nicely about the other customers turn. I waited 2 hrs for my turn and then he finally says "this is the last song and then I'll wrap it up" turns out he didn't even call me up front. He was very unprofessional! The service at this restaurant was good, servers were very friendly and we got our items in a timely manner, the only real drawback was the quality of the food. The fries tasted old and everything just kinda had a weird flavor to it. The fried pickles had bits of onion rings and chicken bites mixed throughout; but again we went late in the day and the restaurant was not busy at all so perhaps things are better at an earlier busier time. I visited Salt House Social for a casual dinner when I was in Clearwater Beach. This restaurant has a sports bar feel, but it's a step above a pub or Buffalo Wild Wings-type place. Salt House Social has a patio with outdoor seating and indoor seating. They have TVs set up with sports on both inside and outside. They were showing a spring training game and the NFL Network when I was there. On the way out, they turned the Flyers game on, which was starting. I believe they cater to a Philadelphia audience as the Phillies Spring Training home is Clearwater. They have an Aaron Nola (one of the Phillies star pitchers)-Yeungling banner at the front. Food-wise they have a good variety of options. Appetizers, entrees and specials. I went on a Tuesday and they had a "taco Tuesday" special, which they offer weekly! I order the caprese salad appetizer and the Scallops entree. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the waiter thought that I had order the scallops appetizer, which was only two scallops. He eventually, got to my table the full scallop entree (with a side of vegetables), but it was 10 minutes after other members of my party got their food. He was a nice guy, though, who helped remedy the situation to the best of his ability. The food here is very solid the caprese salad was fresh, the tomatoes were large and flavorful, the mozarella cheese full of flavor and finished with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette dressing drizzle. Had high hopes for this place as I enjoyed Eddie's food on Bayshore, their burger in particular. We tried the beach location recently and it was rough.. not gross, but not good. It was obviously pre-made frozen patties with what seemed to be (?) fake grill marks that had an odd flavor. It was not cooked to temp as ordered but hey you're kinda limited if that's what's you're working with. Fries were meh - they were fries, not seasoned and just bland. We went upstairs to the arcade, which was fun (though the prize machine was broken) but the upstairs bar had extremely limited items stocked & no drafts so we went back downstairs to get actual drinks. The bartender commented they had just opened (they hadn't) and they didn't know why their bar wasn't fully stocked. Overall pretty disappointing. Great visit on a rainy day to Clearwater Beach (we're locals). Plenty of options down on the beachfront area, and Eddie's is one of the better ones. Don (bartender) took great care of us, super friendly and knowledgeable. Made us feel right at home. Our food was tasty, the spicy shrimp wrap, but it took about 20-25 minutes to arrive. A few drinks were not made correctly but were fixed upon request. Food was pretty good, but no one was raving over it. The shrimp tacos didn't have the sauce on them for some reason. They were a bit over cooked which made them chewy. The proportion size & presentation was good. The server was very nice & pretty attentive to the table. Sports Bar: NFL Playoff game on, average live band playing (so no audio coverage of the game), it's dead...took a long time to get any service waiting patiently, wings burned/overcooked on ends, but raw in the middle. Didn't complain, because I was never asked but the bartender. Even with the gross wings I was going to stick around for a few beers and WATCH the game. Never asked ever for another beer (just bring one and guess maybe?). So left a crap tip and went to Hogans. I live here, not a tourist. Hurricane Eddies is not on my list. read more

We recently met with friends for dinner at Salt House, we were a big group and the servers handled it perfectly. I ordered the filet medallions medium rare and they were delicious and bigger than I expected. We tried the shrimp, scallops, and crab cakes and all of the seafood was excellent as well. The restaurant had a ton of TVs with the games on and the bar was beautiful and lit up marble. There was live music downstairs so we stayed for drinks after, and then decided to go upstairs to the club at the bartender's recommendation. We were happily surprised to see a full DJ booth and stayed for 2 DJs. There was Vegas style bottle service and even dancers that came out, really fun atmosphere definitely unlike many cookie cutter beach bars in Clearwater.
