After a few long days at a recent conference across the street, this is the place we closed down nightly - food, drinks, beers, shots and on one night we rocked the house karaoke. The staff here was extremely friendly and with that said somewhat efficient, they were almost indistinguishable from the customers, so it was a party every night not just a group of employees waiting tables and tending bar. We had originally picked this spot out of convenience but after one visit it quickly became our dive bar to go after the hotel bar closed to extend the evening. We did enjoy some eats during one early afternoon visit, the bar food sampler, included mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, onion rings and fried pickle spears all delicious. Ok. So this place is making the most noise on this street, so we decided to check it out. The service was with a smile, but slow at 8pm. Food was just regular pub food, wings, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, nothing special. The girl behind the karaoke had a good voice, and the few participants kept us there a little longer. The reason why we didn't stay is bcuz no one bothered to ask us if we wanted a refill on our drinks, not once!!! There was 4 of us with 3 of us who ordered alcohol, and no one asked, so we asked for the bill. That is the reason for the 3 star review. You're basically a bar. Why aren't u asking the 50 somethings, but the 20 somethings that were literally dancing around people's tables had drinks in their hands the whole time. I will pass next time I'm around read more

I love this restaurant, bar and music venue. Yesterday, Sunday, they had TWO excellent musicians performing: Mad Scientist in the afternoon from 2-6PM and Bus Stop Band from 7PM-11PM. Very friendly servers who got the orders right, despite my special requests. Thoroughly enjoyed my FRESH grilled grouper added to a house salad. Was quite a large salad of lots of crisp, fresh ingredients. And I enjoyed the honey mustard dressing served on the side. Iced tea and Tito's Vodka with orange juice were perfect. Restrooms are clean and conveniently placed near the outdoor seating area. I forgot they offer free parking at the Springfield Suites by Marriott; I'll try that parking lot next time and save $30. read more

On a recent trip to Clearwater Beach, FL, we descended on RockHouse Live one 3 separate nights to catch some live music and enjoy some adult beverages. The first night, we also indulged in dinner. Typical bar food consisting of various burgers, chicken sandwiched, fish tacos and grouper sandwiches. We also enjoyed fries plain and loaded up as well as tatter tots plain and loaded up. All were edible and hit the spot after a day of travel. The beer and liquor selection were typical and the service was friendly and plentiful. The entertainment of bands were excellent. All three nights featured different, but similar entertainment with all the rock hits from the past 40 years that you know all....well most...of the words to sing along. Great time and great fun. My only caution to folks especially as they may have consumed a few adult beverages, check the bill to see if they added in an automatic 18% gratuity. Even if you don't start as a party of 6 or more, you may end up as that party size if you are social like us and have some folks sit at your table for a bit or buy drinks for others. So read your bill before you tip on a tip...especially if you are part of the 3AM closing crowd! If you enjoy live rock music, I highly recommend RockHouse for a fun night. read more

Ah, Rock House Live, the place where dreams are made and vocal cords are shattered. This bar is our go-to spot for post-dinner drinks when we're in the Clearwater Area. It's an entertainment-driven/theme bar that's sure to have you singing (or screaming) your heart out. We stumbled in on a Thursday evening and were blessed with the sweet sounds of karaoke. Let me tell you, the skill level was all over the place. We had a cat meowing violently, nails scratching on a chalkboard, and some people who were actually pretty good - they should probably try out for American Idol or something. Now, I must confess, I have a not-so-hidden, now "supposedly" hidden talent for singing. That's right, I did it. I sang karaoke. Not once, not twice, but three times that night. Admittedly, it took a cocktail or two to get me up there, but once I started, I couldn't stop. After taking the mic into my own hands and singing my heart out to Inrid Andress's More Hearts Than Mine, I figured why stop there? So, I propped up the karaoke DJ like an old friend and we launched into one of our all time favorites, Pink's Just Give Me A Reason. The crowd was loving it - or maybe they were just being polite. Either way, I felt like a rockstar. On the weekends, they usually have bands that are awesome to hear to perform. The staff is lively and downright fun. They may not have a huge selection of beers on tap, but they have all the classic mixed drinks. I can't speak to the food because we haven't actually eaten here, but if you're looking for a night to remember (or forget, depending on how many cocktails you have), Rock House Live is the place to be. What can I say other than it didn't give us food poisoning and the bartender/server was awesome and friendly. We came here for a quick lunch one day and sat outside. The music is, um, their "thing," so it was blasting despite there being like 5 people in the entire place. Wasn't too annoying. Burgers were cooked fine, but nothing special. Fries, the same way. It's clear nobody gives much of a care about the cleanliness of the place (hence the mention of food poisoning) because everything that is shared -- the menus, salt & pepper shakers, ketchup bottles, etc. -- were gross and not wiped down. The salt only had rice in it, no salt. Nobody is bothering to check or care. Which is fine. Just don't touch anything other than your food when you eat here, and you'll be good. read more

Best Alligator Bites I have ever had. Service was good and the DJ started up while we were eating. The music he was playing was a bit off for my taste but he was certainly good at his job. As for the food like I mentioned the Gator Bites I had were great and the Fish Tacos my wife had looked amazing. After seeing her plate I almost wished I had ordered them instead. Just happened upon this place walking back to our hotel. What caught my eye was that they had a live band playing and a sign that said best burger on the beach. Unfortunately no one in my party ordered a burger but the band was amazing. They sang a lot of older r and b songs which I love. The crowd was really into it and dancing. Felt like I was at a concert. I had the grouper sandwich grilled with tots. My daughter had the mozzarella sticks and her dad got the pulled pork nachos. The nachos were honestly enough for the whole table. The mozzarella sticks were good but not enough for $12. My sandwich was fine. The service was good but took a while to get drinks. And a shot of tequila was$15 which is ridiculous. It was family friendly good food and vibe. I would go back for sure but wouldn't want to spend $100 so would choose things more wiser. read more

I read a few negative reviews about this place before we went. I think those visitors had the wrong expectation. This is a watering hole that has food too. It's kinda raucous, stiff drinks and okay snacks. The prices for mixed drinks were pretty steep, but they did have a special on draft beers. Live music sounded good. The server was on top of things - she mentioned the kitchen was a little backed up - its all about setting expectations and delivering on those expectations. So this place was a disgrace! I never put a bad review to any establishment as I own quite a few business but this is a disaster. They need bar rescue! We waited for 45 minutes just to get the waitresses attention that I actually gave up and went to the bar and had to order my drinks (5) people. Then she blew us off and I had to order again our meals after that and she looked at me like I had a thousand heads. Pathetic! We waited almost 2 hours and for the first time in my life after 55 years of life, asked for the check, paid it and walked out! For a tourist town and it being Memorial Day weekend, give me a break! Good location off the main path but the music is loud so you can hear it a ways away so it draws people in. The band was fun. This is a rock place compare to others it has a good vibe I gave it three star just because the service wasn't that great the waitress were congregating not waiting on people, it was Al little annoying to have to get a front at the bar after waiting at the table for ever also the band was on break for so long an entire group of 15 people came and went they would have stayed longer if the band were to play instead of standing around out side all in all not a bad place the food wasn't anything to write home about it is just bar food. The burger was ordered Rare, it arrived medium well, both the burger and fries were stone cold. Went so see Stormbringer. They were great. We were a party of 6. The bourbon selection consisted of Jim Beam or Bulleit. I know a standard pour is 1.5 oz but a rocks or neat pour is 2 oz. we ordered doubles neat and rocks that I believe were single pours. The prices weren't listed but when the bill came it was $90 for 4 bulleit bourbons which was outrageous. The manager agreed and removed one drink from each of our bills. No one expects a $200 tab from a place like that for some bourbon drinks. A couple burgers but that's what my friend got. Mine was $175 for 4 bourbons, 1 margarita, a Cuban sandwich, veggie tacos, fried pickles and mushrooms. We're at the steakhouse price level read more
