I've been to this location 2 times prior to my visit today and never had an issue until today. I took my child here around noon and right off the bat it was a wacky experience the cashier stamps my hand then my sons and asks me if she stamped my had after she just did a sec ago she apologizes and then says she's tired. Next I order a salad bar of which I cannot get until after 2 because they have there "buffet"! What about the people that don't want pizza or can't eat it???? So I pay for my tokens and a drink and she forgets to give me my change!! Like seriously go home and get some sleep or sober up you should not be in an environment like this! So there I am playing with my son and I hear yelling which I am assuming was coming from "big boss" that decided to stop in, like seriously dude do that stuff on before or after hours I mean clearly your employees need some teaching but don't do it on my time! He then sits down in a booth with "store manager" and yells at her she told him to be quiet and he didn't care. Shame on all these employees for doing business like that in a kids environment. Frankly the kids that were there today were more mature then every employee here. I am so surprised the cashier remembered to check our stamps on the way out. This is a nice well kept location but management needs a major check from the right "big boss" not the one there today crying like a 2 year old. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! My daughter is special needs and up until my most recent visit she has LOVED the Chuck E Cheese in Crystal Lake but I will not be returning after the "management team" I encountered on Friday. The general manager was extremely rude to us and after being told to "hold on, someone will be with you shortly" BY HER twice (!!!) she finally came to the register to help us. She was very unpleasant to me, rushed us through our whole order and instead of politely asking what we wanted she said things like "what else" and even asked "are you done" when I paused. Yes, I was done but still! Absolutely horrible service and she is the new manager of that entire store!!? Ridiculous. My daughter noticed her terrible attitude as well. She would not acknowledge anything she said to her. Instead would say things like "sweetie, I'm talking" or tell her to hold on with this gross, annoyed face!!! THAT IS NOT HOW YOU HANDLE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD. I spent 20 minutes trying to calm my daughter down after we walked away from the counter. She wasn't even interested in playing games at first because her feelings were hurt! I witnessed her talking down to her employees more than once up front, treating them like they are stupid and she had no sense of urgency and seemed to let her other male manager get away with doing nothing as well. He was very touchy with female employees and she did nothing!! I don't know what your policy is on managers and employee relationships but he was MOST DEFINITELY crossing a line by touching them and following them around whining until they did things for him. I did not get the names of the manager or the girls he was harassing because I was disgusted by his behavior and chose to take my daughter elsewhere since we were not having a good visit from the start. What happened to this store?? The managers that used to run this store a year ago were caring and went out of their way to make sure everyone was having fun. I have not seen those faces that I remember in quite some time. I remember two younger managers who were excellent with my daughter, a girl and guy. They knew our order, welcomed us happily when we came in (which used to be 2/3 times a week) and it always seemed like one of them if not both of them were there and keeping an eye on everything throughout the store. I do not know if bringing them back is an option, but in my opinion, you have really gone downhill as far as customer service goes. Ive been coming to this place since my daughter was born, almost 8 years.We always had great times here and no complaints until today.My daughters, their godmother and I stopped in for some fun after watching a movie.We walked in around 8:30 pm and went straight to playing games.Around roughly 8:55 my daughters godmother was told they were done , they were closing.So we hurried up and went straight to the ticket center.We still had $10 worth of tokens, but I thought , no problem .We can save them for next time.We were in the middle of redeeming our tickets when all of a sudden the ticket machines were turned off & we still had more tickets in our hands and no printed receipt for the 230 tickets we had to rapidly feed the machine.I was upset because of course this is par t that kids look forward to.The prizes! So I made a complaint to the staff and she was real snotty and rude.Her reply was "Well we close at 9."At that moment I asked to speak to a manager which was pointless.He was just as rude and unhelpful.He said the machines shut off automatically at 9 because that's the time they close.I responded by telling him "I thought you closed at 10, I mean most places during the summer close at 10."He then said "No we close at 9, It says it on the door."Like im blind or something.So obviously it was my fault for not reading the signs on the door so I deserved to be kicked out.I told him they could have warned us 15 minutes before through their speakers.& he told me that they couldnt.Really???!! I thought.Youve got to be kidding.So I just decided to get something for my daughter worth 200 tickets.She obviously had more and the manager did offer us 300 tickets as an apology.I didnt accept them because now it wasnt about the tickets.Now what bothered me was the fact that they were extremely rude and argumentive.I was wrong and they werent.If they plan to stay in business then they should act like one.You dont go out to a place and enjoy getting kicked out like that.I will not be returning to this place ever again.It was totally emberassing , specially since we werent the only ones. read more
