I'm so disappointed. We took the kid here last night as a surprise. We ended up being surprised also! Look, I get it, it's Chuck E. Cheese. I'm not looking for glitz and glam. What I am looking for, however, is service. Everyone was friendly. However, it took us an hour to get a large cheese pizza. I don't like to complain, but once I saw someone who got there 45 minutes after us getting their pie, I had to sound the alarm. He brought it out right after that. If it was JUST that, I wouldn't blink an eye. Stuff happens! But.. A lot of the machines didn't work. A lot were out of tickets. Skee ball was completely messed up, with some of them having no balls at all. The ticket takers were all busted. The photo booth was out of paper, and when I heard one employee mention it to the (I assume) the manager, I overheard him say, "Don't worry about it." There was not a lot of people there, so the lazy attitude is understandable, but isn't it easier to fix this stuff when there isn't a lot of people? We're still paying customers. You're still getting paid to work. Do something. Also, the bathrooms were freaking disgusting. Every toilet was filthy. And.. there wasn't a lot of people! It's not like it was being used non-stop. I expect better, especially when it isn't busy. I expect normalcy. I understand that the place is usually packed with kids and it's hard to keep up with stuff. We do come here often. I guess one can't give a zero on Yelp or else I would. Took two grandchildren here during Christmas holidays. Gave pizza order, and 40 mins later no pizza. Asked chief person in food section who said rudely "it's done and ready to come out" 20 mins later still no pizza. Then found the manager, who said we'll get it right out. 5 mins later comes the saddest and sickest looking pizza one could see. Awful, now going to games and prizes it gets worse. Grandma spent about $40 on tokens for kids (it was Christmas) Granddaughter had entire armful of tickets from games (~300) and went to pick a prize. Shelves had all sorts of nice toys at 1500-2500 tickets. All she could qualify for were cheesy plastic snakes and spiders in bins in glass counter. She picks one out and is told "you can't have that, we are out of them" Grandma says "No there is one right there in the bin". Staff says "No we can't give those out, only from the inventory in the back and we have none there" Place is well named "Cheesey" I would have called the attorney general if I had time. We went on a Thursday morning. Not a lot of business. Service was really slow. I didn't encounter any problems, but there was a lady who didn't receive her food order, and I knew she had been waiting for a long time. Looking at the other reviews I may be basing this on the level of comparing my experience from when my kids were little. It looked pretty good. Looked upgraded. The table was set up nice for my grandson's birthday party. I am not certain of the value because I no longer have actual "children" to know the going prices of children's activities for these days. The Pizza was really good. Way better than the 80s. Good they now have unlimited fountain drinks- they didnt have that when my children were kids. Looked like fun for little kids. it was clean. I didnt see or use the rest rooms though. I just figured a place with so many kids running around, it may be better to wait than to take my chances. One thing did strike me very funny. I was left sitting to watch everyone's belongings so that they and their children could participate in the activities. An employee asked me to move from the table and go elsewhere so they could clear a reset the table. So I said "ok" and asked for a plastic garbage bag or something so that I could remove and carry all of the stuff that I was watching. The workers were telling me ok they will get the bag, but no one was doing it. The girl who was in charge of the table starting rudely prodding and harassing me to move from the table. I am an older woman, as I said a grandmother, and the girl was about 21. It was just weird the way she started disrespectfully harassing me to move, and I didn't have a way to pick up all of the belongings and pocketbooks left there on the table. At that point I wished I had not added my money to her hefty tip that my daughter and son in-law gave to her. I had added a good sum, because they ran out of cash and only had a card. The tip I had added was enough to take me out to a nice adult restaurant for a dinner. I wanted to ask for it back. Must be hard running a place like this full of crazy kids but for the most part it was a good experience. There's enough seating even on busy days but expect a long wait for food when ordering. When busy, you'll wait almost an hour. Some games machines were broken and there was no attendants fixing them during the whole day. Staff clearly are frustrated. Spread out too thin. My suggestion would be to review your current staff and weed out the problems....which means the nice lady who stamps hands is about the only one who can stay. The place was empty on a Wednesday, we ordered 3 pies for my daughter and her friends and if I hadn't gone up to look for them I am confident we would have never received them. Came here for my niece's birthday party. There are a variety of games for different age groups, I was even playing games with my son. On the second floor majority of the games were out of tickets and the "ticket muncher" which counts the tickets was full. We went downstairs to call the attendant because the kids weren't getting their tickets, it took about 25 minutes for someone to come upstairs. This was the first time coming to this location it was pretty busy as the day went on. It's a lot larger then most of the locations I have been to. But they are definitely lacking organization in this location . When it came to singing happy birthday to the celebrants they were not in sync . The hostess that was assigned to the party really wasn't on point with keeping up with her guest or handling the party very well. We had to refill our own sodas as we ran out and cake was cut and just placed on table for whoever wanted it and personally the cake was dried out and there is about 2 inches of icing on it . Kids have a blast here and it's non-stop fun. I can't say I came here to pay but only came here for birthday parties with endless tokens. My daughter particularly looks for the games with tickets so she can go to prize redemption center and pick out goodies. Not all games have tickets spitting out despite it indicates tickets. I also notice some games don't work at all when you put in tokens. The food is your standard fast-food level for kids. Look, this is place for kids to run around and play games and eat pizza. It's not a 5-star pizzeria. That being said, my 4-year-old daughter and her friends loved it here. We got there when they opened at 11am on a Sunday and I highly recommend going on the earlier side on weekends if you can. By 2pm, the place was jam packed. There are a ton of games and "rides" for kids from arcade and boardwalk games to play place activities. There's picture booths and tons to do for kids of a variety of ages. Games give tickets and they typically all gave like 4 tickets each, no matter what your score. The prizes were cheap, but I feel like that is to expected at places like this. Aren't they all like that? The kids get excited though to collect tickets and get silly prizes like balls and whistles. The food was alright. If you told me my pizza had been sitting around for a while before they delivered it to my table, I'd believe you, but I mean, it's pizza and unlimited soft drinks; the kids were happy. We found a great coupon deal online from the establishment's website. For $56 we got 110 tokens split into four cards, two pizzas and four soft drinks. We were here for close to four hours, which wiped the kids out. They had more than enough tokens left to play even more games, as each activity is only like 1 token. I think for a full day of fun for my kid and her friends to eat and play, it was a good deal. I found the staff to actually be friendly and helpful. As a Chuck E. Cheese first-timer, they helped me decide the best package, accommodated us when we wanted to order food at a certain time and were generally pleasant. 70 plus minutes to get 2 pizzas that were worse than I can get out of the freezer, and the breadsticks were just dry logs of dough served with cold tomato sauce...the games for kiddos were definitely not worth it. If you come here for the kids EAT FIRST ELSEWHERE!!! And manager was awful, refused to admit that's who she was and just dismissed our requests for the food we had paid for. I went to this location a few weeks ago with some family friends. Its great for kids to play and enjoy themselves. The reviews had me a little worried about cleanliness and service. Well, they were right. The place is not normal-restaurant-standard clean but neither is a home that has 60 kids running around playing and screaming. Its not filthy but disorderly as kids run back and forth to get drinks and play. Service is horrible. They take forever to bring your food and when they do its: Cold Incomplete or Wrong Strikingly reminiscent of someone else's leftovers. See video for the sample platter they served me. I couldn't even get the server to stop and answer my question as to why it was so skimpy and grossly different from the abundance in the picture. Would I go again? Yes, because the kids loved it. I've really had it with this place, despite one of my kids inexplicable affection for it. Now, unless you're willing to spend a minimum of $20 at a clip, you get 3 tokens on the dollar. $20 gets you the legitimate 4 tokens/$. At least 20% of the games are out of tickets, without warning, and good luck flagging down an attendant for service. Unless you're willing to tell your kid he/she will have to wait 20 minutes or so for a refund/tickets what have you, consider yourself rooked. The same thing for if you put in a coin without the machine registering your credit. Bye bye overpriced token. The machines that do give tickets still give them out at a rate of 4/token, regardless of score. I think the exception may be skee ball, but I'm not sure, as the machine my son used was, you guessed it, out of tickets without warning. When we were done, we redeemed our tickets at a couple of their various automated ticket counting machines. Wouldn't you know, the machines are mis-calibrated and without fail cheat the kids on their ticket counts. For shame!!! I'd put in 4 tickets at a clip and get a 2 count. Unacceptable, unethical, and I'd guess as much to say--illegal! On another note, the place is absolutely filthy!!! Uncleared, un cleaned tables and booths. Food, napkins, utensils, etc. strewn across the carpet. Hazmat bathrooms--they should hand out disposable gloves at the entrance. Just a place to avoid until they get their act together. Had a party here on Sunday, didn't know what to expect since the reviews were mixed. Our host was great, the facility clean and most rides/games worked. The only disappointment was how small the slices of pizza were. You definitely have to go with a coupon to get a semi decent deal for food and coupons. But nontheless, the food was good. We tried the new spaghetti and meatball pizza...the meatball tasted great, but the spaghetti and sauce good be jazzed up alittle more. But over all it was good. And the buffalo wings are our favorite everytime we go... no complaints for those. We also had, a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and it's definitely better than before. In addition we added 2 all you can eat salads. Which I was not too excited about because they no longer have french dressing and no more boiled eggs to add to the salad. I am very disappointed with that. I will no longer be ordering salad anymore. But overall the food was fine. They add a few new games to this location, which was great to see. And today seemed to be a perfect day, because it was not as packed with people and children as it can be at times. One other complaint I do have is that the staff definitely need to do a better job at cleaning the tables off and the food that are no longer in use. We had to clean our own table and seats because the whole row of seats on the side to the back were filled with dirty items and no one was sitting in the location. Something horribly wrong here today. They were more than 2 hours behind in filling food orders. We got there around 1: 15 pm and no food at 2:00. At 2 pm, when I went to ask about our order, they were filling orders about 20 #s behind mine. Others who had run out of time were asking for refunds. I tried to be patient asking how much longer, where was my order, etc, but was told for over 15 minutes that a manager would need to come deal with this problem. The manager never came and they had no explanation or estimate as to the expected wait time. Next, many machines did not give tickets and many took money w/o giving play credit. Also, I was trying to find a better chuck e cheese than bridgewater as I thought that bridgewater was understaffed - too long of a wait for the prize line (over 30 minutes sometimes with no on at the desk) and had a broken a/c in over 90 degree heat during a crowded summer day. East Hanover a/c working fine, but also understaffed; 15 minutes wait entering and leaving and perhaps 20 minute wait to put in order and get prize. No response to comment that machine had taken 4 tokens of child's money w/o giving credit. I have to say all the front line people at bridgewater are nice and hardworking; they just cant cover 2-3 jobs by themselves on a busy day. I observed the same problem here; the counter person had to work cash register, drinks; prize desk; and customer service. The greeter was also waiting tables. The manager was also waiting tables. I never liked the noise of these type of places and have had enough. Will not be patronizing any more of these, especially as their trend is to put smaller and smaller play areas. read more

Brought my little sister in today (I've never been there before, but wanted to try because of all the advertising on tv), first thing that turned me off is the awful smell and how dirty this place is. Awfully long lines and only 2 people serving guests. After being in there 5 minutes my appetite went away and we left. At least now I know what this place has to offer. I would rather pay more money than have to sit at these dirty tables. When we walked out, we went around to corner where my car was parked and the side door was opened, so I took a look in-I wanted to vomit everywhere!!! The floor was extremely dirty and wet! 1 star because my sons love the two levels and are too young to see all the bad this place has. We went this past Sunday. I would say at least half the games were either broken with error messages or the ticket weren't coming out. It seems some games give tickets still, some may go on the new cards that replaced the tokens. So far that was the only plus, no more tokens. The place was dirty but it was crowded. The ice cream machine was broken, the elevator was dark, lights were broken. It was just broken. Makes no sense as the place was crowded, multiple birthday parties so they cant be hurting for cash. Oh and the best part was although they seemed to have a lot of staff (only on the first floor) only 1 person was at the food counter which made the line extend to the entrance which made it hard to get in and out. No staff on the second floor or at the door when my sons walked out ahead of me. Super sad and I am done with this location. If my kids ever want to go back to their favorite location I will tell them it closed. read more

Always fun even though my son is only 20 months old. We love taking photos and the games where he can drive. Plus they have a little play area with a slide that he loves. Service is not great but we just make sure to account for extra time to get food and prizes. read more
