We got the text that our food was ready and went to get it. The staff was so helpful. They gave us plates and utensils when they saw us come from the hotel door. The food was delicious! The fact that this was connected to the hotel made it easier for a lazy day in from all the touristy tour and when I walk in to pick up my order it was BUSY! This was on a Thursday afternoon (Lunch Time) and they do have lunch specials, and it was a pack joint. Prices were right and affordable and the portion was huge! I'd heard a lot about this place especially from my man so we checked it out in honor of pi day. The atmosphere was pretty cool and our server was great! We ordered the beer bbq boneless wings and the USA! USA! pizza minus the black olives (ick!) and it left a lot to be desired. The wings came and they had no clean silverware and brought us take out silverware. The flavor was eh. I've had better boneless wings from Pizza Hut. I used to live across from an Italian restaurant that flew in their pizza oven and flour from Italy... I missed that super light flaky crust so much and the pizza here is like that! Everything we've had so far is good - kids grilled cheese, natural cut fries that are fluffy inside and omg the beignets!! Checked into our hotel room on the way thru Nashville back north around 8:30p. Was delighted to find this restaurant attached and thought we would give it a try. The wings, both buffalo and cajun were super crispy and delicious. The cajun has a nice flavor to them with just a bit of heat behind it. The buffalo was an interesting deviation from the vinegar forward buffalo sauces I'm used to - it took a second to get over the surprise but the taste quickly grew on me. We also tried the fresh mozzarella and tomato appetizer and that was a lot better than expected. The smokers chicken pizza was very yummy as well. The service was super quick and ready 10mins faster than expected - won't hear a complaint about that. The hostess was super friendly and the look of the inside of the restaurant looked like a cool spot to hang out. Great find driving down 31W to Nashville! We had the Jalapeño White Sauce pizza and it was delicious! Their Lite Lager was really good too! It is attached to the Hampton Inn but is not like any other hotel restaurant. Fun environment with great music! Our waiter was very nice and explained how they're originally from Jackson, TN. Rock'n Dough is attached to the neighboring Hampton Inn, just in case you're having trouble finding it as you're driving up. The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday evening: it was easy to find parking, and we were seated right away. I even asked the hostess if she could change the channels for us to tune into a specific college football game, and she was happy to accomodate! Our server, Allie, was phenomenal throughout our meal. She had great recommendations - which is how we ended up starting off with the Pretzel Bites as an appetizer. Believe me when I say that these are a must-order - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious when paired with their warm queso dip. We decided to split two 16" pizzas between the four of us, which ended up being the perfect amount. We even had a few slices left over to take home with us. The USA! USA! pizza was incredible - a nice balance between all of the "supreme" toppings we know and love. The real star, however, was the Taco Pizza. I'm all about this new wave of food fusion, and Rock'n Dough is doing it better than any other restaurant I've been to in recent memory. The marinara sauce is amazing! The warm calzone is perfect without the sauce, but over the top when dipped in the sauce. This proved to be a very good spot. We were in town for a regatta (my son's high school team), and it was quite nice to see a spacious, well-reviewed place connected to the hotel where everyone could drop in as they arrived. Restaurants at hotels can be a mixed bag, in my experience, but I'd happily dine here any time. Food was great. A good variety of pizzas, plus build your own options (went with a bbq option myself that had a perfectly sweet and tangy sauce, nicely grilled chicken, little pop of red onions, and some pleasant dollops of ricotta). Pizzas could also be served as calzones, which my daughter and her friend took advantage of and enjoyed greatly). Solid looking burgers and apps as well. And, enjoy life a bit, get some beignets for dessert! Strong collection of cocktails, craft beers, and whiskies--some cocktails were a bit steep, but the ones we tried were quite good (lest there be any doubt, the "we" there refers solely to the adults!).
