I usually go midday during the weekdays, when there aren't too many people here because it can get quite ghetto. I went there today with my toddler, we walked in and waited at the rope to be greeted and stamped. 5 minutes later, I just walked in with my son. Pretty clean place and we were helped when one of the machines took our tokens. Machines are rather stingy with the tickets, even if you're good. This place is the pits. Extra dirty. The night crew is not cleaning and the morning crew is not cleaning. We went to this place twenty minutes after they opened and it was gross. There were about four other families there at this time. Twenty minutes after being open every booth was dirty. I'm talking bout crumbs, leftover pizza, the token cards, candy. We had to wipe our booth down, twenty mins after opening. They hadn't filled the games with tickets before opening so kids were playing games but getting no tickets. It was a mess, they did make it up to the kids with tickets. The bathroom floor was so sticky, the carpet leading into the bathroom was sticky. The kids had fun though. When we left they didn't even check the safe kid hand stamp. I emailed the corporation because the state of that place is dire. Our last time going there. This is the second largest chuck e cheese i have seen in the bay area. The first is in san jose. This place has a lot of nicer rides and games compared to other chuck e cheeses I have been too. The downside is this place is close to richmond, san pablo, and oakland, so all the hood rats come here. In other chuck e cheeses, you drop your coins and people pick them up and give them to you. If you drop your coins in this place all the hood rats will try to grab as many as they can find. Also some kids will see a kid playing a game and move them out of the way. One kid tried to push my kid out of a ride. Obviously the parents are watching there kids, cuz I pulled him out of the ride by his shirt and no one noticed. So if those other kids get out of line just slap em around, no one will notice. read more

If my kids can write a review they will give it 5 stars. I am willing to meet them half way. Chuckee cheese any where I go it's basically the same. Greasy games,oily pizza and the salad buffet? You got to be kidding me right? Next time you go to these places keep an eye on the buffet area. Count how many little fingers pick through the food. Coughing and sneezing near the area. yuk! yuk! We had my daughters birthday party on July 21! I love this location. Much better than the hayward one. It was a bit crowded for a Sunday though. It wasnt a lot of parties going on which was good. It's Chucky Cheese. I don't go in expecting good food. It is about birthday parties, fun for kids. I remember growing up with Chucky Cheese fondly. Lots of video games, skee ball, the animatronic show. It was fun. Some of that is retained but it is different. There aren't many video games any more. Most of them are more like rides. The skee ball does remain. Most of the animatronic show is more video. But Chucky does make a brief appearance for the birthday kids. Our daughter has had fun every time we have gone and it doesn't seem like it is a fortune like so many other places. It is good for what it is. read more

Ok, i went to CEC on a friday with the family and it failed on all tests. There was no one at kid check, the floors were so dirty and havent been checked, bathrooms were sooo dirty and the food was cold. The employees didnt even know what they were doing! The workers are lazy and pathetic, I brought my 3 yr old here on a Monday around 11am, and only one worker there and tried to get token saver at register And lady was like "uh my register is on freeze cause I pushed out for break, can u come back in 10 mins" wtf how are u gonna work and go on break when u just started ur shift!!!! Plus no one to relief u!!!! Wtf ..... Also the last time I will ever go this place because it is very unsafe to those parents who let ther children go off on their own.... I'm not a big fan of Chuck E. Cheese but I've been here several times for a birthday party and it's usually always packed. It's nice and big. There are a lot of tables so you don't have to worry about being crammed up. They have a lot of games for children of all ages. Staff is friendly but can be ghetto at times. This is probably got to be one of the best Chuck E Cheeses in the Bay Area! In comparison with all the other ones (particularly San Bruno), this one is extra big and more games, more tables. More room! If I were to choose to throw a party at a Chuck E Cheese I would definitely pick this one. Even the staff who help out with the parties are great! Well this one at my nephews birthday party was. She was very attentive and got the food out in time and was very on top of things like keeping the tables clear and serving the food. The line to get into chuck e cheese was long as there was only one teller. She looked unkempt and forgot to give us our salad plates for all you can eat salad bar. She seemed frazzled. Most of the tables were vacant and obviously not cleaned up even though all food was done. Bathrooms were filthy and toilets all clogged. No one was attending the front to give us new plates when we returned to salad bar so we ended up having to use out dirty ones which is a health code violation. My experience for my son's birthday yesterday was the best. Place was not crowded at all. No ghetto ppl around or rowdy kids. The manager who was the best help us throughout the party. Manager was awesome with her services and hooked it up in the end. Best time to do your party here would be on the weekdays where its not so busy. Also you get unlimited time at your table reserved. May be a hit or miss kind of day if you had bad experience, but we got blessed for our day. We truly appreciate the service from manager. read more

If I could give his place no starts I would! First of all the staff is horrible! I took my son for his birthday and we left around closing time. We where at the front trying to get the kids their prizes with the tickets they won. The whole time one of the employees is standing by the salad bar saying "oh my god these people need to get the fuck out of here" I was furious I understand that they where going to close but that is unacceptable and so unprofessional. It so horrible that you bring your children to a kids place and the employees are using that Language! If the employees don't like their job they should quit! At first I was put off by some of the negative reviews, but after spending an afternoon here with the family, I think this is one of the nicer Chuck E Cheese's in the Bay Area. Like most Chuck E Cheese's, you bring in your kid and they stamp your hand, then you find a seat, and get your pizza and pass ordered at the counter. We used the coupon deal from the website for pizza, drinks, and Playpass points, which helped save money (very much worth it). The pizza didn't take long to come out, and the order was correct. Took the kid around to several games like the train coin toss, dragon bopper, skeetball, and the flying bike thing, and they enjoyed all of it. I was really impressed that all of the games were working well, and how clean the bathroom and table was. They even have a security guard on duty at the front door, and employees were constantly moving around the floor to clean up or help people, and the Chuck ticket toss was a treat for the kid - whoever was in the costume was friendly and professional, and waved to all the kids as they walked by. We definitely need to visit this Chuck E Cheese again in the future. read more

On a slow day very pleasant the BIG issue is the cleanliness... but what do you expect from children everywhere and teenager employees.

First time there today. Not impressed at all. First thing you notice is the terrible smell when entering. It makes you nauseous. We were very close to leaving just from the smell. Then the music is blaring!! It was so loud I couldn't even hear my husband talking 2 feet from me. 40% of the "games" my son wanted to play were not working. The attendants were more than willing to give you more coins if you deposited coins into a non functioning game, but it was disappointing that so many games were out of order. The place is unclean and dirty. The whole place needs a deep cleaning. We didn't have any food but it looked pretty unappetizing from afar. We spent about 20 minutes here before leaving. We went over Saturday about Noon and had a good time. The three two years olds had a good time collecting tickets for prizes and climbing on everything. Things were clean until more kids started showing up and leaving candy wrappers on the ground. The bathrooms were just fine when we left at about 2:00. The pizza, surprisingly, was very good. We used to call Chuck E Cheese pizza "cardboard pizza" when we were kids but it was good this time. They offer beer but you can only buy one at a time and only get one an hour. they should just not sell beer then. The bad things about the experience: Walking in there is a sign saying "absolutely no firearms." If that sign needs to be there, it usually means there were issues in the past. My friend was flashed gang signs when the other driver felt he was cut off (he wasn't) Final thoughts: We had a good time but probably won't got back. There will probably be no issues (especially early in the day) but there were too many warning signs that there could be trouble. Bringing my kid to a place where there might be trouble is something I won't do. read more

Had a great fun experience. We ordered a pizza but told the staff we wanted it later and they brought it to us right out of the oven at the time we asked. Staff is friendly, all the arcade games were working. Guy in a chuck e cheese costume comes out and gives free tickets to the kids. =) I did not give them 5 stars because the tokens are 3 for a dollar! Gross. This place has horrible service- floor worker to manager. The smaller children section was dirty, there was trash all over the floors. We waited 45 minutes before I checked on our food order, which ended up taking an hour and a half, of which it still hadn't come out after the MANAGER working Veterans Day (today) said he was going to make it himself and would only be five minutes. 35 minutes later I asked for a refund! Not only that but almost every time I put my son on a ride - other people's children would climb on the ride after we paid for it. No one was available for assistance with the machines, food orders or other questions. Overall we will never come back here. I understand places get busy, but that tells me it has poor management/operations. The type of crowds this place attracts, people were homely and several adults cussing and yelling at their kids. I was there for a noon-2pm birthday party last Saturday. The emergency exit alarm near the party tables went off and no one checked to see what had happened. In fact, our party "coordinator" made a little joke about having to speak up over the sound of the alarm. I left the premises with my friend's 5-year-old son, whose hand stamp didn't match mine. I was there for a child's birthday party there was no assigned hostess and the only time we saw someone was to reliever the pizza that was ordered. What was even more horrifying was that parents were letting their children go into the bathroom with out checking it out first.
