As a parent this is a place that we must visit. The games/machines are very entertained for kids. Fortunately the place was empty at the time of our visit. No lines to used the games/machines. The salad bar was great. The employee in charge of keeping the food at the salad bar did a great job. We got the reusable cup to use it "forever". Some employees were very helpful but some were lazy and unfriendly. The mousse for example was not very energetic. The most disgusting thing was the female bathroom. The day was just starting and the bathroom was already in bad shape. They smelled terrible.

Workers just standing around doing nothing. Only one register open.

Most terrible experience I have ever had. Went for a friends daughters birthday party. I ordered just a personal pizza and after waiting for 1 hour ,went and asked where my order was. She told me it would be out soon without even looking into it. I told her I had been waiting for 1 hour, and she just apologized and said it would be a while. I had to ask her to please go back in the kitchen and check at least. To make sure my order was still being made. She walked around the corner to the tickets area, came back with a calculator and a piece of paper. She looked up and saw I was still standing there. Shocked she says.. oh yeah coming. I waited another 30 minutes and had noticed others that arrived after me were getting their food. At that point I went back to the front and requested a refund. I had to wait an additional 20 min in line because 2 other workers were doing ... nothing. Once I finally got to the register, no one had a radio for the manager. So I had to wait at the register for another 10 minutes to get a refund processed. When the manager finally came she questioned my order. I had to tell her yes 3 times that's my order (I gave her the receipt before she started questioning me) Then she gave me 10.00 in cash even though my order was 13.75. So, I didn't even get my money back. After dealing with this for now 2 hours, the party was done. It was time for me to go. All this happened to me, but I also need to mention the parents had also ordered pizza when they arrived, and had to wait an hour for their first 2 pizzas, and the rest trickled through after another 30 minutes. The bathrooms were covered in urine. Tables were not being cleaned, we had to clean our own. They no longer sell tokens, but time cards for fun. 10.00 for 30 min. So while your stuck waiting for your food for an hour and a half, you have to buy more time on cards for the kids to have fun. Which ends up being more expensive than being able to regulate tokens. It's very evident why these are all closing down. Parents don't waste your money here. Go somewhere else, anywhere else.

This museum was very manageable and not overwhelming. We went on a Saturday evening and it wasn't packed at all. The kids loved the real outdoor helicopter, the large truck, the construction area, the awesome market, the cute cookie shop, the bus with card reader, the gym with the scarf wind tunnel and balance bikes, and the Lego race car building ramp. The kids were all really well-behaved and so many of the caregivers were supervising and involved in the imaginary play with their kids which made for a good experience. The exhibits are well varied which keeps things interesting. It was clear that some things are very new and some things are very old and worn out. They force you to walk through the gift shop to leave. The Legos and car bases are ready to be replaced with new ones. Parking was available but the North Garage payment system is pretty confusing and hard to use because there is no cell service down there. The staff at the museum would not help us validate our parking because we left at closing.

Grocery store, auto shop, art studio, bank, farm train depot, basketball court, dinosaur exhibit and everything else you could imagine! About $14.50 for adults, $12.50 for kids & seniors. It was loaded with fun! The only disappointing parts is some of the stuff was out of order and the amazing train depot area only is on display during certain hours of the day and unfortunately during our trip we didn't get to experience the fun of that. If was a great afternoon experience watching my child play with everything and fascinated by it all at the same time. Definitely a place worth checking out if you have kids!

The employee inside was super nice and let me know that when I'm ready to come with my family that we should get tickets online because they are a few dollars cheaper. The following weekend I brought my 2 year and 1 year old boys. As far as animals go, as the name suggests they have a wide variety of lizards, turtles, snakes, spiders, and more. When you enter, you're assigned a "guide" that walks you through and talks about pretty much any animal you want them to. At certain points, they selects animals to pull out of their cages and you're given the opportunity to touch or hold them. The inside of the building is kinda cramped and not really set up to be a guided zoo experience and there are so many cages that it would take a week to be able to see them all. I have it understood that scales and tails puts on traveling shows for birthdays and such and my guess would be that this is its primary form of business nd the tours given at the facility are really just chances to donate to help them keep things running. I don't say any of this as a bad thing though. I'm certain that the experience you have is highly tailored to your desire to learn about more animals and you can probably ask to hold a lot more than we did. Once the tour is completed you are able to just hang out and keep checking out the animals for what seems to be however long you want. Two of the highlights for us were the large alligator "darthgator" and the opportunity for our whole family to hold a 10ft python. I highly recommend to anyone with or without kids to come check it out at least once. It's a cool experience that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else.

It was $19 for each kid and it includes 2 free adults. Socks are $3 if you forgot yours. The bathroom was also clean. There were plenty of tables to sit at for both large and small groups. They had lockers for you to store your personal items. Adults can climb into the structures as well. My 2 and almost 4 year old had a blast. There were building blocks, push bikes, a giant slide (that was actually pretty thrilling even for an adult) and a darker dance room with music and laser lights. The walls had fun pictures of castles and dragons. Outside, there's fast food and a 5 Below and Target so it was convenient to stop by those places. The bad: They don't allow outside food. Overall, thags probably a good thing because it keeps the space cleaner. The interesting: You can purchase a play card for $20 that allows you to ride the motorcycles and play the claw machine game.

It doesn't feel like there's a lot of variety of merchandise. And the merchandise they do haven't is mainly for kids. There's a good variety of animals but definitely more of a focus on animals native to Utah. You have your tigers, lions, giraffes and zebras, all the animals you'd expect to see at the zoo. While the animals are clearly well cared for some of the enclosures seem a bit small. The zoo itself is pretty small which means it gets crowded pretty easily. It also means that if you don't take your time you're gonna end up covering the whole zoo in two hours.

It was sprinkling when we were there but wasn't too bad. We had visited an aquarium in Draper earlier in the day and we had all the time in the world to explore there. But for the zoo, we were pressed for time because we had somewhere to be in the downtown area later afternoon, so we wanted to try and see everything we could in a short period of time. I guess you could call our day "animal day" due to us visiting an aquarium and a zoo on the same day lol. The first exhibit we stopped by was the giraffe and zebra exhibit, where you can get close to and interact with the giraffes under zookeeper supervision. My maternal grandmother's favorite animal was the giraffe and this would be her favorite thing to do if I ever bought her to a zoo. As we moved along, we saw spider monkeys and wild horses, and this was the first time I've ever seen a horse yawn in person, even being around horses before in the past. We then passed by an outdoor theater, where a dog show was going on (we did hear music while walking around, but we weren't sure where it was coming from). And these dogs can REALLY jump, like how high a cat can jump onto a tall ledge. It was pretty impressive to see that. They had two dogs that were performing during this show, but I saw more of them being transported in their carriers as we were walking around. One of my favorite parts about this trip to the zoo is seeing their sand cats. They were soooo cute and tiny that I wanted to cradle them. These sand cats can be found inside of an indoor exhibit along with other wild animals when you go past the fox exhibit. Other animals that we saw were orangutans, gorillas, tigers, polar bears, rhinos, and various reptiles. My LTP tried to get a picture of the tiger, but it kept running away, like it knew it was going to have its' picture taken. The art murals that can be found in some places were also very creative. One of them was being worked on at the time of our visit. We had a great time here; I think we were here for about two hours at least and got to visit all the animal exhibits here. A great find in the Salt Lake City area.

My oldest son wanted to check out an aviary this time instead and the rest of the family agreed...It was a great decision. Tracy Aviary is located within Liberty Park next to downtown Salt Lake City. We walked through the visitor center and paid the entry fee and then we were off. We checkout the easy-to-read map of the park and there were many more exhibits and areas to explore than I expected. As we headed towards our first destination, owl forest, a vulture and its handler walked right by us like we were neighbors. We spent about 90mins here until early sunset checking out all the exhibits and birds they had to offer. Many of the cages were quite open an conducive to actually seeing the birds. One main issue I've had with aviaries in the past is the birds are always hiding in the foliage or in the corner of their enclosure. Here, it was like the employees asked the birds to strut by us on a catwalk so an amazing view. I really enjoyed the South American bird pavilion, the enormous pelicans in the pond, the rainforest habitat and more. It also helped the weather was perfect...slight warmth from the sun but a cool breeze to keep me from sweating. On our way out at closing time, I learned this is the oldest aviary in the US and it was home to 400+ birds and over 120 species. We all had a great time and would come back here again to spend more time.

We also appreciated the extra amenities; the small cafe, park area, and visitor center really rounded out the morning. It's a perfect, low-stress destination for families!
