This place is like a walk in the past with the arcade. We didn't eat anything but we played video games from the 1980's including centipede, I made the top five twice and I haven't played in years. The service was really good. At one point someone dropped a glass, the staff had it cleaned up immediately. Very impressed! Four player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game. Need I say more? Super cool spot to waste some time with your people and have a drink. Maybe learn to play pinball or nerd out with the old school. With no windows, it's a little bit of the "loss of time" vibes. Remember that scene in "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" where they end up in Vegas and lose days or weeks? Had an amazing time here with my training team. It was so much fun to go back down memory lane and play my fav arcade games. I was killing them a skew ball until they tired me out. Quarters Arcade Bar is a tubular blast from the past that will take you right back to your childhood-full of pinball machines, skee ball and a variety of other nostalgic arcade games. The only difference between this and what you might remember from when you were twelve is that this is a 21+ bar, so you can enjoy an adult bevvy while playing the games. You enter from the street and have to traverse a few sets of stairs to get in, then another set inside. The bathroom also has a few stairs to get to the toilets-so keep that in mind if you have any physical limitations. Prepare to show your ID to a staff member just inside the door. They will happily check your coat for you as well, if you would like. The ambience is a little dark, but high energy with the various games and the folks getting excited as they beat each level and rack up the points. I noticed that a handful of the pinball games ate our quarters but never spit out a ball. So come prepared for that potential. But also come prepared to have a pretty darn good time! read more

Better make sure you're not disabled or you'll get kicked out for being intoxicated even though you've had one drink. Tried to explain I had a genetic condition that makes it difficult to walk at times, especially down stairs. Because I had to hold on to the handrail and go slowly I was singled out and told I had to leave. When I explained I have a disability the guy had the balls to tell me so was he and he didn't act like I was. I guess there is only one type of disability and everybody is identical. Again, it is difficult for me to walk other than for short stretches and stairs are particularly difficult. I had one drink and was obviously not drunk. Train your people better. read more

Chill vibe from staff and a couple patrons that were nice enough to say hello and help me get my quarter back from the broken skeeball machine. This place has a variety of games - pinball, arcade, skeeball (2/3 wasn't working and I didn't want to try the 3rd), board games, video games and card games. Quite a few places to sit and play or have a conversation over drinks. There is no food sold here, but there is a vending machine if you're snacky before getting something to eat after your gaming. The bar serves mainly beer and light canned drinks. The bartender made me something that was in between sweet and boozy. It was good as was my La Croix and vodka soda. Wasn't sure how I'd like this one after frequenting the other quite a bit but I was pleasantly surprised! Parking is a little weird but after 8p you can park on the street without paying. The entrance is so fun! They have a coat check with us so nice especially now that the weather is getting cold and you might have to walk from parking. Lots of games! Only found one that was out of order. Amazing drink choices!!! Vibe was fun! It's super dark and loud in there though. They also have a band area near the back so it was VERY loud in that corner. Thankfully it's not the popular games. Didn't have to wait much to play games, seemed like most people were there for the drinks and to socialize. They have an ATM so you can get cash for your quarters. This one is only one level unlike the sugar house one but it's still awesome! My date spilled his drink cause he set it on one of the games. The bartender was sooooo nice!!! She gave him a new one even though it was his fault. They do have tables around most of the games to set your drink down. I love so much about this place, I don't know where to begin. The bartender was so much fun to talk to and his knowledge of cocktails was extensive. I went old school with a sazarac and sidecar and my partner in crime went for his suggestions which she adored so much she got a second one. The bathrooms are fine for a dive bar. They were clean just a little awkward in how they're laid out. The games are well maintained and fun to play. We had an absolute ball there. There's no food except for the Utah required vending machine of Funyons and Snickers. We had pizza delivered which went well. We ended up parking down the street in a private lot where you could use your phone to prepay. It's not necessarily easy to find and you have to walk down some steep stairs. From pinball machines, skee balls, fortune reader, to the joystick and button mashing machines, you'll find some nostalgic moments that will remind you of child hood. I really found myself stuck playing the teenage mutant ninja turtles and the simpsons arcades. There's a bar with a variety of beers on tap and bottles. I ended up drinking their pineapple bottom shots at $6 and those will secretly creep up on you. There's not really a food selection as they have pop tarts, trail mix and vending machine food. There's plenty of places to eat around the area so check those out. It's located in the basement so it's SUPER hot and SUPER crowded. Okay clearly I have been here many times. And for good reason! If you like Dave & Busters.. this is very similar except with older arcade games and a full bar. They have an area in the back that they do small concerts in occasionally, and they also have board games you can play. I would recommend this as a place to take friends or a group of people who like gaming. The drinks are reasonable but definitely a place worth hitting if you're bar hopping. read more

I've been to barcades all over the place, and this one may be one of the best. In addition to the traditional arcade format games, they also have consoles for competitive games, board games, and a wall of pinball machines. I've been coming here a couple times a year since I moved here, and the place is always popular. Being able to have a drink while I'm crushing a new high score on Asteroids makes the trip downtown worthwhile. If you're looking for some good times with friends, they have so many multiplayer games, but the crowning game they have is Killer Queen. 10 players can jump on to play a team deathmatch style game, and the gameplay is easy to pick up. The cost is fairly low, the options are great and the bartenders know their stuff. This will be a constant place I visit while I live here. read more

This place is the best place to play pinball in all of SLC (you can check via pinballmap). They have a mix of newer pins (Sterns with Stern Insider and Jersey Jack Pins) and some older pins. They also have a beer bar so you can have drinks while you play the pins and games. Great place to kill some time before your flight or a place to chill in downtown. read more

This place is a basement filled to the rim with vintage arcade games: skee ball, donkey king, mortal combat, pinball....even a Zoltar machine.
