Kid check is a joke. They don't even check to make sure the stamps match. Every game had a max bonus of only 50 tickets when the price for the prizes went up. The manager didn't even have a name tag so I couldn't add it to here but she was rude and had no sense of urgency.. ky daughter waited at the prize counter for 15 minutes before she was helped and when she was helped the manager didn't even scan all the card. There are ride on vehicles for kids, arcades, photo areas, food, prizes to win, etc. They will stamp your hands with the party your with as a safety precaution for kids. You can reload cards at the kiosk or with an attendant. $37 for 120 points is a great deal! Each game is worth 1 point which is very reasonable. This Chuck E Cheese is small but it has enough things for kids to do for a good 2 hours of play. This place would be a great place for a birthday party since they have a lot of seating areas. Well we had my son's birthday party here this year and it was a success! Yeah I was warned they were out of goodie bags, but I think the extra points to compensate actually worked out better. Our party attendant was so attentive and sweet. She took great care of us. All the kids had a great time doing kid and party things. Parents were happy. The food came out promptly and was hot. No complaint on any pizza or wings. No complaints from this mom. If my kids were smaller we would have more parties here for sure. read more

Not sure where my other review went.... I took my son here for his bday(8th bday). I thought the place was bigger than what it was in person. The Bday Host was okay.... We couldn't hear them announcing anything over the intercom bc of all the noise, people and music playing. I just saw a bunch of kids and parents dancing on the floor area where the bday kid is supposed to be. Along with his party people. I then saw Chucky dancing with all of them. So we missed his first appearance. My son also didn't want to go over there with all the strangers on the dance floor. The 2nd Chucky appearance I made sure to be there. And as soon as he came out he spent all his time talking, taking pictures with everyone else. The host lady had to wave him over many times everytime he was supposed to be doing something. The whole time while dancing and doing the "bday show" parents and their kids were walking up asking Chucky for pictures. Chucky would wonder off with everyone except who paid a lot of money to see him. The host had to wave him back over many times as well as tap him on the shoulders and tell him over here many times! Had I known Chucky didn't care about the Bday kid/show/people and showed his attention to everyone around then I would have NEVER paid for the bday package to begin with. Definitely NOT $300! The guy sitting at the trampoline area was distracted the whole time we were there. I had to tell a few kids to stop blocking the tunnel bc they weren't allowing anybody to go through. Then a kid was telling other kids they can't get on the trampolines right now. So I walked them over and told my son and his cousin go! They went right in and that other kid continued to bounce. Meanwhile the guy watching over this area was leaned up against the door, on his phone. Not paying any attention at all. Before I could even ask for an extra pizza. The lady said my package came with an extra one. I thought each person got a slice or two. Idk. But that's what I needed anyway. But then some how and I 3 pizzas. Idk how. Then the host gave me a menu and I got a tray of frys. The prices were out of this world. I don't remember how much anything was but it was way too much. That's all I can remember. When our time was up. The lady moved us to a booth. I wanted my son to open a couple of gifts after everything and she told us we had to move. Nobody was even there. It wasn't packed. They had many tables set up for other parties. I just needed 10mins mins or less. Instead we got booted to a booth. Not a big deal but if they could leave a few extra mins at the table that I paid so much for. Oh last but not least! On the table where it has the name of the kid and their age. They should have a schedule or clock showing what's next and what time. That way the parents know exactly what's next and when and how long until the next. I had no idea. I felt like a chicken with no head just running around. The host would have to find and come to me and tell me yalls pizza is coming out. Yalls pizza is on the table. One time she told someone else in my party and I had no idea. It would just be nice to have something on the board showing the time and what's happening and what's next and how long u have. I am in my mid 30s and had never been to a Chuck E. Cheese, I know! You are greeted with turnstiles to ensure the kids you walk in with are the ones you leave with. Then you come up to the food section where you can order pizza, wings, desserts, or opt for the salad bar. Then you can also sell get a card and add playing time which is by time increments. Sit anywhere you like and your buzzer rings when your food is ready. You also fill your own drinks which is nice. The whole place looked pretty clean and I was impressed by the clean salad bar. There wasn't a huge variety but your basics where covered. The games are enough to tire you out and you no longer have to deal with tokens or tickets like in other arcade places. If you stop playing be sure to pause your time at the kiosks so you don't lose out. read more

4.4 STARS! LOL! Yes I'm doing a review on this joint only because the Sweet Chili Chicken was amazing and because I've been here twice in the last month for kids bday parties. The pizza is flat and lacks depth. The cheese is melted and tasteful but the bread needs some work. It's not thin crust but isn't not hand tossed. Playing with my emotions! The salad bar is sad. The Sweet Chili Boneless Chicken Wings are damn damn damn good. Pair it with a beer and a football game streaming from your phone and bam! You'll forget where your kids ever went. The sweet heat is on point, chicken cooked perfectly and the color of the batter and sauce is heaven! At this location it doesn't have the stage for the cartoon characters to dance on. That's sad. Great time tonight at CEC with the family. This location was super clean and the front desk staff was awesome. I used a few coupons online and got an XL Extra Cheese Pizza, 3 Drinks, 1 Salad Bar, 1 Lrg Beer & 2 60min Play Cards for $75. It was 5 of us sonthis was perfect. We use one card for the two little ones to share so we get more value. My preteen still loves this place! Pizza was, as you know, surprisingly good. Everyone was happy and that's what you want. It was packed but it was Friday night so as someone new to the area, married with kids, I can't think of a better way to meet local folks in a fun environment with a BEER in hand! Pretty decent (probably one of the best in San Antonio) Chuck E Cheese's with a good variety of games for all ages. I recently realized that they have gotten rid of the tokens we all knew and loved. The money is now added to a card which is pretty easy to use (no sliding, just tap the card to the reader). The pizza has gone through a couple of different versions in the past couple of years, the crust is once again delicious! It is a bit thin, but delicious nonetheless. The salad bar is the same as usual (my wife eats the salad once in a while and she says it's as good as usual). They have added new items to the menu and it seems to change every couple of months (more items to choose from!) Pretty clean place with lots of kids running around having fun. This place is a dream for kids, but barely tolerable for parents. The food is very overpriced. Over $50 for two 1-topping mediocre pizzas, 4 drinks, and some "points." This is the most expensive meal we've taken our kids out for in awhile and it wasn't even good. The pizza at a Chuck E Cheese location we used to go to in Charlotte, NC, was way better. We were here on a Sat night around 6 pm and nearly every table was covered with dirty plates and half eaten food with no people sitting there. Does no one clean off tables? We had to walk around the whole place twice to find a clean table. If you can get past the bad overpriced pizza, the games are fun. Each one is a point and my kids love to get tickets. The games are the only redeeming thing in this place and why I gave it 2 stars instead of just 1. This location does not have the awesomely creepy animatronic Chuck E Cheese band. Just a lot of TV screens and someone dressed as Chuck E Cheese for birthday parties. We ended the night by ordering a chocolate chip cookie. It took 40 mins to arrive and was less than awesome. I have a friend in from Scottsbluff, Nebraska who had "Eat at Chuck E. Cheese" on her bucket list. Scottsbluff only has a handful of restaurants, and I wouldn't dare deprive her of a life dream. It was my duty to take her to Chuck E. Cheese, regardless of the conspiracy theory that had JUST aired two days before. It was expensive compared to other pizza places, but I expected it, and she was paying with corporate card. We ordered a thin and crispy pepperoni pizza ( which is rectangular - to avoid the possibility of the conspiracy theory on our table). I ordered a salad. Their salad bar was pretty impressive for a pizza place. Chuck E finally came out to entertain a birthday party. Entertain is an overstatement. He was so un-enthusiastic to be there. I know a costume alone is enough to keep young children excited, but as an adult, I was disappointed in what I saw. If I was the parent paying for the birthday party entertainment, I would have been pissed. It was the saddest display of a costume character I've ever seen, and I've watched costume characters try to get me into their tax offices before. Regardless of how I felt about Chuck E., my friend was so excited that she cried. As Chuck was walking back to his "costume get ready area", I called him so that he could take a picture with my friend. The smile on the costume was ready, but the person filling the costume was pretty reluctant. Either way, the picture came out great, and my friend got to check it off of her bucket list, and she was so excited. Cheese cause its not too bad on the wallet, and you get a lot of fun for your buck via email/internet specials. On our last visit we to got a large pizza, 2 drinks and 135 tokens all for $32. (Via Internet Coupons) Now thats Cheap and Cool for parents that is. I think we spent at least 3 hours, and still had tokens left. I have to commend the manager at this location, Alizah. She was very friendly and accommodating during our visit today. She also handled our concerns promptly. Staff's customer service was stellar! Additionally, very impressed with the Covid safety measures this location has set for customers. They take your temperature before entering, games are spaced out, and hand sanitizers easily available to customers. Also, games that allow for more than 1 player can only be occupied by the same family at a time to permit social distancing. Glad that we still have a place "where a kid can be a kid" AND be safe! Very impressed...been in a few chucky e cheeses in my day..this one was by far the best.. the staff was great smileing and frendly...the food was really good ...the salad bar was stocked well and very clean and fresh ..pizza was good..the pizza tray has a texure to it..any extra oil falls down..pizza not sittings in oil..smart! Boneless wing were a bit commercial tasting ..but better the a mc nugget..but there were celery sticks with it..very nice touch.. The manager at the Chuck e Cheese on Ingram was very rude. He was degrading me for using my Tmobile coupon there. He said to me that "you people can't just get free pizza's." I paid $5 for $5 worth of games and recieved my free large pizza. I reloaded my child's game card twice and spent $9 on drinks. So we didn't go in there just to get free pizza jerk! After I paid for ice cream rainbow dots the lady in the front said she would need to get some more from the back, but the manager in charge told her " no, just tell them we are out." We visit this location because it is close to home. Unfortunately their service is hit or miss. I wish I could blame it on Covid but that has been the case since before the pandemic. You might get someone who is happy to greet you, you may not. You may get someone who knows what discounts and offers are available through various social media outlets, you may not. You may get good food, you may not. So since Chuck E. no longer comes out to say hi or dance, we were relying on the streaming videos and Chuck E. music to add to my kids' experience, only for them to turn it off at a random point in our visit. We asked what happened and they said "they turned it off." We asked why and they had no reason. We were one of the two families in there and asked for it to be on and they never turned it back on. So my babies had to finish playing with mostly silence as most of the game are disconnected for social distancing reasons. It was awkward and uncomfortable. So we left. I haven't been to Chuck E Cheese in many years. This time was because it was a birthday party for my great grandson. Well, the little kids had a grand time with all the rides and activities. Being there and deciding to try the pizzas ourselves (me and great grandma) my wife went to order because i was in a walking boot and getting around was tough. She bought a large traditional crust NO UPGRADE pizza. Well, to call it a large is stretching it a bit. (When we get a large Pizza Hut pizza between the two of us we can only eat half. We ate all of this pizza.) Then "deal" required her to buy four drinks, although it was just for the two of us. The bill was $29.76. Now the pizza was a tough thin crust, very little cheese and the pepperoni was few and far between. Now I remember why I haven't been there is a while. I've been to my fair share of chuck e cheeses. perks of motherhood and right of passage if you survive a birthday party here. This place has a big space, so all the games and play area aren't smashed together which is what I like. Again its on the richy side of town so about 25 minutes from the sea world area depending on traffic. I liked how clean this place was, friendly workers they didn't seem like they were ready to commit suicide on the "Wheel of fortune" game, there was a manager that regularly patrolled the area, and hardly anything was broken. Getting prizes was a breeze and not much of a wait for our pizza and drinks either. If Chuck E cheese needed a model on how to run their business THIS is the model to follow. The 2nd great chuck e cheeses in the area is 1604 & Bandera. The worst is 410 & Ingram: size is small, gets packed alot, and you can tell the difference between the clientele and workers there. I go there still because its closer but I try to stay away from the ghetto chucky as much as possible. We have gone to this location for years so we have always enjoyed our trip. However, we will now ONLY go to this location because of the hospitality we received from Elias, the manager. What a humble,loving,sweet guy. We had called a day earlier to get ideas as far as what we could bring for a "small party" not the big package they offer. He helped me with that answer as well as informing Me he would be there the next day for our arrival. My daughter was turning one , mind you,all she wanted to do was eat,dance,and play! Here's the thing, Mr. Cheese, if I were writing this review based on the level of fun I personally have at your establishment, it would likely be negative stars. Don't take that the wrong way, but screaming children, high prices, and lousy pizza do not a great evening for an adult make. However, Chuck (may I call you Chuck?) you'll notice I am giving you 4-big ole fat stars and the reason is my nieces adore you. I mean, really. They're infatuated. I recently had the pleasure of spending a Wednesday night with my goddaughter. She was post-ballet class, all dolled up in her pink leotard and little tiny bun, and I let her choose our spot for dinner. Without needing any time to think, she suggested "Chuck E. Cheese because it's the funnest place, right Aunt KT?!" Ummm, right, kiddo. The funnest. So, we enter, CEC has a number of safety measures in place to ensure your child leaves with you and no one else, we get the stamps and whatnot and order our food. I spent $21 and got an orange soda, a mini-pizza, and a cup full of tokens. I had barely placed the first coin in my goddaughter's hand before she was running wild through the restaurant, tutu flying, on a mission to win tickets. She chowed down on her frozen pizza, split the orange soda with me, rode a mechanical horse, climbed through a jungle, went bowling, was a rockstar, had her picture taken, and won 81 tickets (mostly bc she lucked out on some jackpot ticket game and got 60 all at once). Three hours later, she was happy as a clam, I was slightly frazzled from the sound of screams ringing in my ears, and we took off to the prize counter to cash in those tickets. Major downside to CEC is the prizes are all dollar-store picks at best, but cost 100's of tickets to "win". Since I spent $10 on the coins it took to win 81 tickets BECAUSE I DIDN'T CHEAT - perhaps I should have in retrospect - the only prizes available to my ballerina princess were pencils and a plastic ring. She was a bit let-down but thankfully at the last minute, Chuck E. Cheese himself, the one and only, sauntered out of the back room and gave her a big fat hug. I snapped a pic, handed her the pencil, and off we went to my house to paint fairies and rainbows. And as we were walking to the car, she looked up at me with her big, blue eyes and said, "Aunt KT, I love you. That was the best night ever. I bet my Nannie is sad she missed it." I didn't tell her that no adult is sad to miss a trip here, I just hugged her and accepted my prize as granting my girl the best night ever. I am not a person who likes to hang out in a place that has dozens of screaming kids whose parents don't bother to supervise them once they are inside. So what I do is wake up, get some breakfast from any number of awesome places you can read from my reviews, and then hit the rat's nest early. Nobody is there and your kid has the run of the joint. They feel like a movie star renting out a place to keep out the paparazzi. The other great thing about Chuck is that he isn't greedy like his cousin, Mickey. Everything was going well but, 20 minutes after we have start eating our pizza, we went to play a few games and comeback finding NOTHING on our table, the cleaned our table and took our half pizza and our 2 drinks almost full. This is the worst Chuck E. Cheese we have ever been too! We had to ask the cashier to speak up cause we couldn't hear what she was saying....she then got a bad attitude. We got the buffet because we wanted pizza and salad bar, when we proceeded around the corner after paying the salad bar was only a bag of chopped lettuce and some salad dressing. The pizza had been sitting there so long it was hard. We asked for some fresh pizza since there was still a hour left for the buffet and the lady rolled her eyes then just walked away, 20 min later there was new pizza at least. 89.00 for horrible food and service :/ read more

I just want to let everyone know that the customer service here is exceptional!! My sister and I came in with our 2 nieces and nephew that were visiting from out of town. We arrived at 7:45pm almost 1 hour before closing. I was excited to be with my family to enjoy the evening seeing the kids play and eat pizza. Unfortunately my joy turned to frustration. The lady up front said the pizza would be a 45min to 1 hour wait time!! I could not believe it, it felt like she was pushing me out. I was not happy about this so asked for the manager immediately. Josh the manager approached me and I expressed my frustrations. He did a phenomenal job listening. He apologized for the situation and greatly explained what was going on in the kitchen. He remained calm and collective through it all. He then suggested if we purchased the game cards he would add points to those cards while waiting the extra time for the pizza. I was very happy for the accommodation. I was impressed by his service and of his staff through the remainder of the night. The pizza ended up only taking 30min.
