When we first walked in, we were greeted by a gentleman right away, and I asked if he had any open spots for a haircut today. He said sure let me check out the other barbers and see what they're up to. I'm sure we can get you in right now. I thought cool. But then after about 30 seconds, I noticed that there's two or three different Bluetooth speakers playing different things. Maybe I'm just a little more old-school barbershop and think that all the barbers should be on the same level and on the same vibe. The gentleman came back and said yeah we got a barber. We can your son's haircut right now. I was like cool so after waiting for a few minutes, our barber showed up with his Temu grill. His Bob Beatles cut and a mullet. My first thought is hell yeah that's what I like. I like seeing people with their own style. His communication wasn't that great, wasn't bad. I mean, he's probably a young dude. My son usually just gets a simple shave up the side ,shorten the top thin it out comb over to the right. For the first time cutting my son's hair, it wasn't that bad and I'm not complaining about the haircut. My problem is after I tried to explain to him what I wanted it. He looked like he didn't care or wanna deal with me anymore. I tried to ask him to trim it up a little bit more a little bit shorter, and he looked at me like I had another head growing. He left all these baby hairs on my son's forehead for whatever reason. I had to come home and finish it up myself. My son was really disappointed until we got home and I fixed it up. Needless to say, I doubt I will be back. It's a nice place, could have a great atmosphere. I would also recommend closing up the barber hang out in the back. It looks like a bunch of slobs, sitting there or laying down playing on their phones. Like I said in the forefront, I'm not trying to say this is a bad place . My first appointment with Teresa was perfect, it was exactly the color I wanted and I was incredibly happy. At my second appointment I explicitly stated "I want to do what we did last time" yet she proceeded to make my hair significantly darker. I immediately brought up how much darker it was than the previous appt and she assured me it was only a dark gloss and would wash out and lighten up soon. I trusted her. And "left happy" because she assured me it was "just a gloss". I didn't speak up because I trusted her. At my third appointment everything went south. Before we started I brought up again that my hair was made too dark the previous appt and clearly communicated that I did not want my hair to be dark. Teresa proceeded to dye my hair pitch black. I immediately brought it to her attention at the end of my appt and let her know I was NOT happy with how dark my hair was. This time, Teresa's story completely changed, she told me she had actually used permanent dye at my second appointment not a gloss. After a lot of back and forth and attempted gaslighting she eventually admitted that she hadn't taken proper notes and couldn't remember exactly what she had done to my hair at my previous appointments. Awesome. Not only was this extremely unprofessional and disorganized on her part but throughout the process I felt completely gaslit. She put words in my mouth that I never said. She made decisions about my hair that I never consented to. She did what she wanted with my hair instead of communicating with me and getting my approval first. Her lack of accountability made an already bad situation feel even worse. She knew she had made a mistake, admitted it but still tried to gaslight me to agree with her rather than take accountability. To top it all off despite her completely admitting fault, she only offered me a partial refund. After her countless mistakes and the way the entire situation was handled, the partial refund felt like a slap in the face. I wish I would have never sat in her chair. It's unfortunate that this experience reflects on the salon because I'm sure there are much more professional stylists there to choose from. If you do decide to book with Teresa, I would STRONGLY recommend being VERY direct about what you want and making sure you explicitly consent to any changes before she proceeds. -5/10.

They are in a great location with plenty of parking options, but don't forget to pay the meter! I got a solid haircut and beard trim by Amanda and she was really friendly and professional. I would definitely return. The only thing that kept this review from the coveted 5 stars was that the schedulicity program used to make appointments advertised first time hair and beard trims at $40,while returning customers range from $40+; but I was charged $45. It's just $5 no biggy but figured I'd mention it. I was also looking forward to the complimentary hot towel wrap and beverage advertised on schedulicity but perhaps that is only for returning customers as well? - hopefully next time. Overall a good spot, good staff, good outcome and a good experience. I'd recommend trying them out for yourself!
