I've been looking for a good barber that caters to male haircut styles and The Male Room does just that! It's easy to book online (and they accept walk ins). They are in a great location with plenty of parking options, but don't forget to pay the meter! I got a solid haircut and beard trim by Amanda and she was really friendly and professional. I would definitely return. The only thing that kept this review from the coveted 5 stars was that the schedulicity program used to make appointments advertised first time hair and beard trims at $40,while returning customers range from $40+; but I was charged $45. It's just $5 no biggy but figured I'd mention it. I was also looking forward to the complimentary hot towel wrap and beverage advertised on schedulicity but perhaps that is only for returning customers as well? - hopefully next time. Got a cut from Ken today and it was certified fresh. Moved here so finding a barber is not easy and getting in on an appointment that opened up due to no show was luck once again. We hit off right away and the accommodations and free beverages was a cool touch. I felt very welcome and tried a new cut and technique I never even considered before. I appreciated the attention to detail and how Ken likes a challeng, I could not be me more happy with the results. First time I tried out The Male Room and it was a top experience among all of the other places I tried over the past several years. Heather showed great attention to detail--I showed her a few pictures of Stephen Corbert and wanted something similar and she spent a few minutes scrutinizing the photos, making comments and asking questions. I was very pleased the amount of care and time she took to trim and cut my hair. I was even more pleasantly surprised I got a shampoo afterwards, which washed away all of the cut residuals, but she spent time to style my hair after the washing to ensure it sat well. I don't remember the last time I got this extraordinary treatment and I would definitely come back! I highly recommend The Male Room and, in particular, Heather--she's the best! read more

Inconsistent at best. First visit was what I asked for, perfect. It told my barber I get my haircut every two weeks. I like the look of "never needing a haircut." Second visit I asked for the same as the last cut. Instead it was a hack job, including cuts on my neck from dull clippers. I came home and my wife was shocked by the cuts on the back of my neck. She also noticed the different lengths of hair on the back of my head. I guess I won't "need" a hair cut for at least 2 months. Time to move on. read more
