In the winter, they provide you with slippers!!! It's like watching a show in your living room, except they are so much more hospitable! It's a cash bar with snacks and drinks, it is licensed as well. The finishing touches really make this place special. They even have a fire pit to roast marshmallows during intermission! For music lovers who appreciate great blues music, Peter's Players is the place to be. Last night we watched a concert given by Chris Duarte, a Texas-blues guitarist who is quite extraordinary. The venue accommodates an audience of 88, so there is a great sense of intimacy here. The price of the tickets were very affordable, and offered great value. This is what a music venue really should be like, and to find something like this in Gravenhurst is remarkable. This is a venue we will be sharing with our friends and encouraging everyone to go to. The musicians that play here are best in class. I glanced over the wall of picture of past performers, and I remain surprised at Peter's ability to bring in musicians of such high calibre. But the place is literally a big old barn so what can you expect. There are outside patios to escape the heat /have a smoke if you need to. Love how intimate it is and how you can get a good view of the stage from wherever you are. If you get right up close to the stage you can almost touch the lead singer! Quite a laid back vibe. A lot of attendees at the concert I went to looked like they didn't "belong" but were just there to have fun. You can tell a lot of locals just come here for a good night out, regardless of who's playing. The bathrooms were pretty crammed but they managed to squeeze 4 stalls in there so I didn't have to wait long in line each time which can be a nightmare at other venues. Beer was a little pricey (and warm -- $8 tall cans) but that's to be expected at any concert venue I guess... All in all, good times and I'd definitely return if another band/artist I liked came here! (Even if it is a 2 and a half hour drive away from TO)

It's an oldschool, bare-bones place with sticky floors, but that doesn't mean you won't have a great time. This is an old building right on the lake with a pretty nice patio out back. As for the inside, there's really nothing special about it. The stage is probably about 6 feet high so there are no metal barricades, and you can see the band from pretty much anywhere. There is open general admission on the main floor and limited general admission seating upstairs. The seating is very uncomfortable, but if you want to sit upstairs, head up there as soon as you get in because they only allow a certain number of people up there (you can always head downstairs later on if you feel like it). There are bars on both levels. There's not a lot of parking here, but there is a free parking lot a couple hundred metres away (drive under the train bridge, there will be a dirt parking lot on the right side of the road). It's a 3 min walk back to the Kee. The washrooms are pretty cramped and gross, and from what I remember, none of the stall doors locked in the womens washrooms.... so you have to hold the door closed with your foot. I had an issue a few years ago with a male patron pestering me and the bouncers refused to do anything about him, but I've been to the Kee roughly 6-7 times and that is the only negative experience I've had with the staff. Over all, it's a pretty great (and cheap) little place to see relatively intimate performances by some pretty great rock bands :)

I've now been to this venue twice, and am planning to go back there with my social group again next month. The price for the pool is either $9.05 taxes in for all you can play, or I noticed that they also have two tables where you can pay per game. To play electronic darts, it costs $1 per person per game, and it is coin operated. They also have a juke box that's hooked up to the venue's surround sound. Also, I hear that Thursday evening is lady's night, where they get to play for free. I tried their poutine, which I found to be quite tasty. I noticed that they only have the 19 size pool cues, which is a tad off, but they had tonnes of them, so at least there's no running short of them. I found the electronic darts boards they have to be quite fun. They have two of them side-by-side, and they have a bunch of different games you can play (playing in attempt to get the score from a certain number to 0, counting up, and a bunch of others that I hadn't heard of before). You can choose the kind of game you want to play, before starting your game. You can have 1-4 players. So all-in-all, I've yet to leave this place without having had an excellent time there, so I highly recommend it. It only lost a star in my review due to not having more than 1 type of (size) pool cue, as I noticed a few people complaining about that.
