Yum! We came here for a quick bite after house hunting in the area and I was starved! The food came out quickly and was delicious, I order the pimlico skillet and really loved the flavors of the pickled onions with the pork shoulder- I finished the whole thing! Service was quick and very friendly. The place itself is pretty cool- they have oils and produce and beer and wine for sale as well as having a kitchen and bar. Maybe if I move to the area it will become a staple of my dining!

I haven't been to Chuck's trading post since pre-Covid and I've only been for brunch. This is a Hampden staple, and even the Hampden and neighbors forget that it exists. I recently heard about their burger special which is $15 for a drink can be an alcoholic drink (like a crush), and fries and a burger. For how shortstaffed they are, the staff is phenomenal provide excellent service and I was shocked to see how many people were getting to go orders for their burgers. You can get a choice of draft beers and they also have a cooler because they are a little bit like a grocery store so you can pick whatever beer you want out of a six pack. I am off on drinking so I decided to get a Coke product and my friend asked for a crush which he made and didn't charge for an additional fee. We decided to sit outside and someone was smoking so I'm not sure if they allow smoking on the patio but I didn't want to say anything since he seemed like he might work there? I also got three mosquito bites because it is damp and kind of musty in that outdoor patio area. Inside I didn't want to sit because it was too smoky so it's a little given intake because it is a tiny little space. It's really a 3.5 because the burger was lackluster. Next time, I have to try the Smashburger and also you can ask for all of the burgers with the smash patty so that's what I recommend you do because I've only heard good things about the Smashburger. Go for brunch and go on a Wednesday for the burger deal because in this economy you really can't beat $15.

Service is super friendly and attentive Loved that. Food took a minute but they appear to stay busy so completely understandable. Food was pretty good. I wouldn't drive out of my way for it, but if you're in the area, it's worth checking out. Drink was well made although a little warm. Doesn't look like the juices are on ice. The ambiance is very much giving diner. The tables are far enough apart and the music is the perfect volume - you can actually have a conversation. This appears to also be a grocery where you can buy beer and wine, so that's a plus! Be prepared to walk a little. It's in a residential neighborhood and the street is tiny so be careful and I suggest parking near the top of the hill where there's a little more room.

Fast service, even on July 4th. While my farmers skillet and grits were good, everything needed a touch more salt. The grits were very creamy (which I love). My partner ordered the Spaniard and Greek yogurt had zero complaints. We'll be back to try their lunch/dinner options.

Love love love chucks. They just dropped their fall specials which feature spare rib grits. Everyone needs to try this like right now. We brought our dog and sat on the porch, drank coffee, and had amazing food and service. Chucks is a staple for a reason!

I've visited this spot twice and enjoyed both experiences. The menu rotates with specials, so I can't recall everything I ordered the first time, but overall it's a solid breakfast and lunch destination. It can get busy on weekends, but the atmosphere is welcoming and the coffee is excellent. The food is consistently good, and the cornbread stands out as a memorable favorite.

A favorite coffee shop was closed on Tuesdays so we decided to keep walking on 36th to Chuck's. As others have written, this spot is off the beaten path. Arrived close to closing time so we ordered to-go. Rustic interior with mixed/outdoor seating and a home turned into a restaurant. A small refrigerated grocery section offering produce, milk, soft drinks and Beer. We ordered the Pimlico skillet-Confit mushrooms played nicely with the eggs and spinach, The Reuben-any time I see "house....." it's a good sign. House braised corned beef made for a tasty sandwich. The pancakes oh the pancakes-don't know and don't need to know what they put in the batter but these cakes stole the show. Homemade berry compote took it over the top but these cakes were fine alone- no syrup necessary-delicious. Service was friendly and engaged. They have weekly specials posted on their website. Hampden hidden gem is an understatement! We will be back!

Chuck's Trading Post is such a hidden gem for breakfast. We had the Seoul Skillet, and it was absolutely packed with flavor and super satisfying. The vibe is cozy, fun, and totally transports you; you'd never guess you were in Baltimore. Perfect spot for a laid-back but memorable brunch. Note: get the cornbread, it's delish!

I love this resteraunt! The breakfast sandwiches are absolutely to die for! Servers are friendly and attentive. I like the rustic ambiance as well- honestly such a hidden gem! My only complaint is when I went off Wednesday burger night- service was iffy and our burgers only came with a few fries which was disappointing. Besides that- I love this place!

I ordered a to-go order online and went to pick it up in the store. The shop has a very rustic decor to it. Makes you feel like an old wester saloon. For my food, I'll start off with saying the sandwich had an amazing flavor --- until I noticed little micro fibers of some sort on my sandwich bread. I have been noticing restaurants are using a utensil or cloth of some sort on their grill that leaves a residue behind on food. There are little strings if you look closely at your bread. If it's on the bread, then it's probably on everything else that gets cooked on the grill and we just can't see it This cannot be safe or healthy. I plan on bringing it to their attention, as I got my order to go.

Honestly, we walked in expecting the full menu, but it looks like Wednesdays are burger nights! And it was absolutely delicious. I had the smash burger and my girl had El Chapo - both absolutely hit the spot. Burger + fries + beer for $15, you really can't go wrong here.

I love their burgers and beer selection! This is a cool little spot in hampden with street parking. They are usually only open for brunch but they have burger night one night a week They have burger and beer night on Wednesday and it's 15$ The service is great- they are efficient and the food is amazing. It's beautiful inside like a little rustic cottage vibe with a wall of wines. They also have a nice little porch with two tables.

This place was highly recommended by friends when we were driving through Baltimore. Loved this place. Large variety of boozy lattes, good beer selection, great food and lovely outdoor front porch seating. Our server was friendly and make good recommendations, including the fresh fruit side. My dog, husband, and I would recommend.

I loved the selection of pastries they offered--the pandan pastry was definitely my favorite. My husband ordered the drip coffee over ice, and I got the Vietnamese iced coffee. Both coffees were excellent. The Vietnamese coffee was a bit too sweet for my taste, and it was served in a very small glass. I think it would have been even better with a little more coffee to balance the sweetness. For lunch, we ordered the kimbap and the egg bowl, and both dishes were outstanding. The only downside was that it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive. However, the cafe was extremely busy and clearly backed up, so we didn't mind the wait too much--especially since the food was so delicious. The indoor space is quite small, but they do offer outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back and try more of their Asian-inspired pastries and dishes. What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

And I recently had their 5 spice latte which was a great balance of spice and sweet. Overall, I honestly would consider moving to the area just to live next to this cafe not being dramatic at all.

The shrimp po'boy was large enough to split and was comparable to a sandwich from New Orleans in quality. I was tempted by the club but the turkey isn't the style I like, otherwise I could easily see myself trying more of the menu because it's clear the cook was skilled. The rail ginger beer and rum was inexpensive and well made and their selection of beer while currently missing a few key dark beer items was not bad at all, they included some draft beer options as well outside of the standard light beers and National Bohemian. All in all I would see myself returning when I head to the area for Ottobar events to try more of their food menu, just remember to get there somewhat early before the kitchen closes at 10.
