We walked here (in the cold) from the Hilton near the stadium - and while it says it's only .7 miles away, it felt like much longer...but anyways... This is not a nice sit down diner, it's more like a food court/plaza type of situation (I believe I saw a Vietnamese place around the corner, and Connie's is opening a juice bar right across from the waffle spot). It's great they are employed but between the dancing and playing they should focus on getting the food out to the customers. You can do street parking or even do the Lexington parking garage option. Unlike other parking garages in Baltimore, this ones super cheap. I paid like $4 for an hour. I went straight to Connie's chicken and waffles and scanned the menu. They have different types of waffles that you can get with tenders or wings or without chicken. I got the Oreo waffle with 2 piece tenders. They give each order with 2 containers of syrup and also plastic utensils. The food was pretty good and everything was fresh. You can tell by tasting the food that they make the waffle and chicken fresh. The chicken is pretty decent. Fried nice and is flavored really well. I think this is real maple syrup, it's thicker than commercial syrups like aunt jemima which has corn syrup in it. I think this might be real maple syrup? All I can say is, this was pretty darn good. I met Connie and she's so sweet. Plus she gives you a note on your box, "love connie" and I found that very endearing. Plus, she will talk to you and make you feel very welcomed. The employees behind her are super nice as well. Connie recommended I get the original waffle since this was my first time, and I got the #1 chicken box which includes the waffle and 2 chicken tenders. I then got a triple mix drink.. not sure what is in it but it's surely very sweet. Next time, I would get half iced tea and lemonade. Then the manager (who was sitting on his axx) proceeded to tell me they couldn't process refunds. Please make Zion your manager! He is the ONLY reason for 5 stars on service. The actual manager couldn't have cared less and walked off. Zion worked hard to reach the corporate office but got no reply, all while handling other people. He then called another location and did everything he could to make it right. Other customers were coming to order and he apologetically said there were some inventory issues and to please come again. He is the reason I am pissed and pleased at the same time! This place is a gem and the icing on top is the really great staff. Connie takes your order and she has the best energy. Her grandson makes the waffles in the kitchen so I love that it is a family business. Connie also mentioned that starting this business was her dream job, which makes me love this place even more because she is passionate about what she does and cares about making quality food. I ordered a number 1 which is a waffle and chicken breast tenders. The spice on the tenders was good (a spicier option would be nice) and they were juicy and tender. It was so filling I only finished half, I could have easily split one with my boyfriend because he couldnt finish his either. One of our friends got the waffle with chicken wings and the wings looked very crisp and good.
