At a Mini mechanic claiming the same issue!RIP OFF! Went to my local mechanic and he said they were not being honest! since the owner wants to attack me, I was at this shop once before and it was a positive interaction however they said they cleared all my check, engine, lights and warning lights! Once I drove around for a few days, those lights all came back on and I purchased a scanner to figure out what was going on. Turns out that they could've easily figured out that all I needed was a Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid . So after two visits to the shop, not only did they not diagnose it, but it causes me to fail my inspection so then I had to purchase a reader and then fixed it myself! and they said that my warning lights for my headlights and my tail lights were short! So I bought headlights myself and put them in and the tail light was an easy fix, but they couldn't figure this out either! This shop is a farce. Don't trust them whatsoever the owners arguing with me over their failure to actually do a good job for their customers! This car runs great and I take care of it and have every maintenance done that I can as it's driven all across the country for over 107,000 miles so for you to question my upkeep of it is offensive!!!

Being new here from Atlanta I still don't have a "neighborhood " auto repair shop so I had no idea where else to go except for a Honda dealership. In route I decided to Yelp auto repair centers and this shop came up with 5 stars. Because it was on the way I said what the hell and stopped to check it out. Thank the good Lord I did because it was a home run. They had my vehicle in the garage before they even knew my name and I was on my way back home in less than an hour. Total cost $145 plus $9 for a part and that included flushing out the freon and recharging the system. Both Firestone and Honda wanted around $99 just to evaluate and wanted me to leave car the afternoon. It would have taken longer just to get the paper work done in the amount of time it took to get me on my way at Jimmy's! Don't be fooled by the cosmetics of the building or the area they are located, truly a wonderful experience and there is a auto parts shop right next door. Thank you so much. In the month after I noticed some rattling sounds and noticed that the oil intake pipe wasn't as secure as it was before. Didn't think much of it other than sloppy work. In the months after the repair, I noticed more noises, but just assumed that I had to replace the engine because the shop told me that it sounds like the "lifters" were starting to go. I'm a traveler so I'm always on the go and recently (in Austin Texas +10,000 miles, 5 months and 4 days after the work), the noises became so bad that I started calling around places and getting quotes to get another engine put in. While they were diagnosing the noises, they discovered that there were a couple of bolts missing from the exhaust manifolds and had to redo the work that was already done. They changed the gaskets and secured them properly. On top of that, they noticed another exhaust leak in a different spot which was probably there five months ago as well, but Folly either didn't see it or didn't bother looking/checking. So far I had to pay $400 to fix their work and it looks like there's another 300 to go. Joey refused to refund for reimburse me for that however he did say that if I was in town he would take care of it. Unfortunately I am not and now I'm out $400-$700. Attached are photos of the work that was done then and the work that has been done now. They tried to argue that "well it's over 10,000 miles later and you didn't notice any noise right away" - This type of repair job should last over 100K, maybe they were sloppy cuz they knew I'm a traveler.

It's not expected but it is appreciated. The rose brightened up my day as well. Thank you to the folks at Gerald's - I'll always recommend you to friends and family. And they recommended a place that specializes in finding issues that no one else can. I did't end up going, because just like everywhere else they said it would be like $200 just to look at it. Pass. It ended up getting fixed so I'm good on that. But this review is about my current service for brakes and tires. I have an olllllddddd car so this won't be the same for everyone but I got out of there with new back brakes, rotors, etc. plus 4 new tires for under $900!! Dude - I have NEVER paid this amount ever for brakes and tires. I almost cried. They also told me that my shocks, that another dealer said I needed to get done, were absolutely FINE! That other place was gonna charge me like almost $3k!!! Anywho, dropped off the car at 7:30am and they were done shortly after 1pm. With the amount of work already lined up - I was shocked. I thought for sure it would be done the next day. Lastly, I got there at like 7:10am to wait and there was already a line but their procedures for this (which apparently they're used to) were so organized snd efficient and got everyone checked in and out the door in less than like 15 minutes. I've never seen that. They also clapped for us as we entered. That really caught me off guard, but I thought it was kinda cool and cute. Who does like an applause?? lol I am blown away right now. I'm officially a lifetime customer. Wish I'd have been going to them from the start!
