Super cute brunch spot! I liked the aesthetics of this place. There was a good amount of parking. It was a bit confusing because I end up going to the opposite side of the building. They luckily didn't have a wait when we came. The service was fairly quick and servers were friendly. I got the chilequiles and their red sauce was delicious. It was stacked with a lot of meat too. They got a ton of food options. There's a bathroom located in the back that looks like a single private bathroom but the door leads to another room with multiple stalls.

I could tell that right when we walked in to this place on a Saturday for lunch it was in a state of chaos. Many of the tables were occupied, but the ones that weren't occupied had all of the old plates just sitting there. So obviously no bus service at that point. We honestly should have left at that point. To sum up: Bad service Slow service Inattentive service, came twice, once for drink order and for food order Outrageous pricing - $24 for an omelette and $8 scone for example One and done Living off DDD fame, in my opinion Manager and owner nowhere in sight. Unorganized and chaotic Sorry but we will not patronize this place going forward.

Everything was such a great brunch meal. Service was on point. Food was uniquely flavorful. We had 4 different dishes on the table and all were great. They had healthy drinks and. Beer and wine for whatever floats your boat. They also had some of their sauces and salsa's to go.

We stopped in for lunch on our way to Disney! The service was great and everyone was friendly, and it was a very chill vibe and relaxed Food was so good and flavorful!! Stopped in before heading back to LA. Nice modern, pretty & vibrant brunch spot. Our waiter was nice, professional & efficient. We ordered a bunch of brunch items to share. Everything was very good ! Super good and cute restaurant. When I'm in town visiting, I always come to this spot. They have great food and amazing service. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Everything we've ordered has been really good. Don't for get the bake goods, it's super yummy!

Absolutely Amazing Eatery. My first impression of Chulas was.... How adorable the seating is! Every chair had a different cushion that gives you a warm at home feeling with "Sabor a Mi" playing in the air. We were seated at a very comfy table for two. After which we were greeted by Diego Ask for his section when you visit. He's soooo nice! I ordered the "Moms Chilaquiles" my auntie ordered the "Green Chili Quesadilla Monte Cristo", WOW! WOW! WOW! Amazing dishes I highly recommend. And let's not forget the fantastic "Bloody Mary" that is served with yellow chilis , green olives and pickles. My mouth is watering just thinking about it I am here for a weekend getaway and will definitely revisit to experience a fantastic new dish.

I've been to chula a handful of times. Coincidentally, I went to school with the owners son. For work, I have travel involved and anytime I'm in the area my go to is Chula. Perfect all around. The service is amazing, staff is always friendly and smiling. Anything I order is cooked exactly how I asked. I'm big on my morning iced coffee and I always get the tres leches latte with extra tres leches on the side. This is one of my favorite coffee orders and never disappoints!

I am truly amazed, I ordered the monte christo quesadilla and what a genius idea! I could only eat a quarter of this large, savory stack of deliciousness!! Creativity plus! Wife had bacon shrimp chile relleno and it did not disappoint! Service excellent, nice clean place with some nice music!!

I can't believe I haven't tied this place sooner! I love the decor and the layout. The whole restaurant was light and airy, and the hospitality was amazing. I had the huevos ranchero and my husband had the chula frittata. We were not disappointed! I'm already planning another visit to this cute spot in La Quinta. read more

I stopped here for breakfast. I had the pork tamal with a poached egg. Beautifully presented and simply delicious. The sauce was not spicy, you could taste the freshness and I was given chili oil and hot sauce to turn up the heat to my liking. It was perfect! The tamal was delicious and it had a lot of meat (shredded pork). Deliciously topped with a perfectly poached egg. I truly wanted to start over, so I could have it again... instead I decided (with Rita's help) to go for the apple/pecan, tres leches bread pudding. It wasn't sweet and overpowering. It was mild and made with love. I truly enjoyed my meal and if I'm in the area I will definitely return to Chula's. Rita was great too!!! Thank you for the awesome service!!! read more

There are not enough stars to give this special place. I ordered the huevos rancheros and they were the best I've ever had. I liked that the tortilla was not fried. It was smothered in delicious black beans and topped with a poached egg. My friend ordered the Chula Bowl and threw some of the sweet potato hash on my plate. We also shared the French toast which was topped with the most delicious cinnamon cream. We could not resist trying the house made salsas and shared the chips and salsa. If you are looking for a little something different for breakfast or lunch, this place will deliver. We had a poppyseed biscuit with lemon curd on the side, red chillaquilles and the farm fresh frittata with Turkey chorizo. Everything was delicious. I love that most of the dishes come with either microgreens or arugula. We saw the French toast come out several times to other tables and it looked amazing. On the hunt for local & organic (aka real food) food wherever I am.... Yelp steered me here. Local ingredients, organic, seasonal. Menu changes up with what's available. Ordered the chips and salsa, comes with fresh homemade tortilla chips and three kinds of delicious house made salsa. Chicken tacos were as good as it gets.. again with those homemade tortillas! The food was great but, rude and unprofessional establishment. I can understand no outside beverages and would've returned them to my car. But the fact whoever was in the kitchen yelled and said no outside drinks were in the same kind of business I thought was unprofessional. All about supporting our local establishments during this economy crisis, unfortunately will not be returning. read more

We were just here for the day in Palm Desert and wanted a place that had farm to table and really good vegan food. And we weren't expecting it to be as high quality as it was. Highly recommend the artisan pancakes for brunch and and the pisole. Coffee was great as well. And the place is such a great vibe. Five stars! read more

Went there for the first time for breakfast today. Food was very good but service was really bad. Looked like they were staffed appropriately but totally lacked efficiency. Waited about 15 minutes just to be seated and plenty of empty tables available. Breakfast ended up being just about lunch . Not sure if this is your normal process but lots of room for improvements in terms of seating and serving efficiencies. read more

My sisters and I stumbled upon this establishment which we had never heard of but rolled the dice and took a chance without reading any reviews. Our server was Mark who was extremely pleasant. I ordered the chilaquiles and I was not disappointed! The tortilla chips were crispy even smothered with the delicious green sauce, the poached egg was a dream. Staying at La Quinta for vacation and saw this place had good reviews so decided to try it out and boy it was delicious. I had the breakfast burrito and I chose the spicy salsa. Big burrito and so fresh. My wife had the heavenly biscuits and you can tell everything was made there on site. If I lived here no doubt this place would be my go-to breakfast spot. Really wanted to like this place as we try to support new eateries in the valley and we live walking distance from here Sadly we were very disappointed. We waited about an hour to be served and then got served one at a time, so basically everybody dined alone although there were seven of us at the table The oatmeal came out cold, the vegetarian tacos were not a sufficient portion ( two tiny street tacos and a tablespoon of beans) The enchiladas were dry and uninspired The menu descriptions do not adequately describe the dish The server was very nice and apologetic and did give us a discount, but it doesn't change my opinion that this place is poorly run and it is not worth visiting Sorry read more

The huevos rancheros were amazing. Very flavorful. Mother's Day I was treated to a delightful lunch of chicken and spinach enchiladas verde and chicken tacos. Perfection. The salsa is amazing as well as the homemade chips. I've also thoroughly enjoyed the Farm Bowl and the Tres Leches Iced Coffee. There are no wrongs to be found here. From the kitchen to the service, this place is like home. I always feel taken care of when I order at happy hour or during breakfast. The chips are house-made and so is the salsa! They have a fantastic choice of wines, and the coffee is locally roasted. When I need to fill up, I get the farm bowl. I'm not a sweets person, but the gluten-free pancakes are amazing. I also would highly recommend the huevos rancheros for those interested in a savory and textural delight. The service is always spot-on, too. Vertarias never fails to disappoint, and you can tell the chef is cooking from the heart. My one tiny suggestion would be to increase the heat. I'm a desert rat, and I love my over-the-top spicy. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Katherine G.

Katherine's love for heritage-inspired dishes began at a young age while learning to cook with her mama. She spent many hours learning the secrets to vibrant and tasty dishes and began sharing her handmade salsas and tamales at the local farmers market. From that, chúla began!

There were a dozen open tables including pre made 6 person high top and two 4 people tables next to each other that we could have been seated at but instead they made us wait 10 minutes while they cleaned and set a table for 6 people so we had to squeeze together. We told them we were in a rush but they made no effort to expedite our meal. They didn't provide us with a drink menu. Didn't even know they had beer on tap until the end of our meal. Do not have a Google business listing so couldn't find them online to give directions to a friend who was trying to find us and couldn't. There was a large disparity between the portions of the food. The tacos we're two mini tacos and some beans. The tortillas tasted like stale bread. The pancakes we're just three mini pancakes and syrup, no sides.
