Absolutely incredible! I can't say enough great things about the outstanding experience we had at Louise's Pantry this morning. The service was prompt, professional, and refreshingly attentive. Our server went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We ordered a Belgian Waffle for the table to split for starters and it was absolutely the best waffle all four of us have ever had. We highly recommend it. All of our main course breakfasts were amazing and prepared exactly as we ordered them. The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to start the day. Tried breakfast at Louise's Pantry and overall it was okay, the prices on yelp do not reflect the current prices they have as of today as it was double the amount of most plates. The restaurant has a cozy local diner feel and the service was friendly, but the food didn't fully live up to the hype. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs, and unfortunately the gravy and steak were pretty salty. The portions were decent, but for the price I expected a bit better flavor and balance. My family and I came here one morning (big party of 12) and they were able to accommodate us comfortably. We ordered meals like chicken fried steak, monte Cristo, corned beef hash, traditional breakfast with bacon and eggs, kids happy face pancakes, and eggs Benedict. I have been going here for a long time. I have never had any bad food or service. Well this past weekend went there for breakfast on our way to another city. We love their jam that's made there, we decided to buy a couple of bottles. I asked our server is this the same as what we just had and she assured us that it was. That was NOT the case. We were looking for a new place to try for breakfast and found Louise's on Yelp. When we arrived on. Sunday around 10, there was a wait so we decided to sit at the counter, where we could be seated immediately. That turned out to be a really fun experience, since we enjoyed watching the kitchen at work and the toaster in action. We got the omelette with chorizo and well-cooked potatoes and the banana walnut pancakes. The portions were large. Hubby really liked the omelette and said the potatoes were cooked perfectly. They give you homemade jelly with the toast -- that was delicious. The pancakes were good but I should have read the menu better because I thought the bananas were on top, which I would have preferred. The servers were super friendly and dressed in jerseys for football Sunday. The water was gross but they were redeemed with the Diet Coke, which they refilled well. read more

This place is amazing. Been in the area since 1946. From all the actors and actresses pictures on the wall to the Service and the food was incredible. I had the Corned beef and hash the best I've had in a long time. The biscuits and gravy were the best ever. My wife had the breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon she loved it. My girlfriend and I had breakfast this morning. At 10:30 and we got right in. The server was so sweet. We spent two hours talking and she never said a word or tried to push us which I thought was so nice. I really enjoyed my eggs Benedict the way I ordered them, which was toast on the side so I could try their strawberry jam which is made in house. It was really good. Came in for breakfast before heading back to the SFV after a weekend in La Quinta. Definitely seems like a locals place - which is always a good sign! There was a wait for indoor seating but patio seating got us a spot right away. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Great breakfast selection made the choice difficult for sure (didn't even look at the lunch menu). I chose the country breakfast with over easy eggs and hashbrowns and the hubs went for the breakfast burrito. Been to Louise's twice, and enjoyed both times. The breakfast tacos were extremely well executed. The little crunchy potatoes in the tacos were an awesome extra touch. Ordered food to go. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches with no extra sides and was still charged the full price of the sandwich meals at 17.99. That's 36 dollars for two egg and sausage English muffin sandwiches. I ordered a full meal with two extra sides and only paid 30 dollars. How am I paying 36 dollars for two breakfast sandwiches alone? Okay, maybe I should have asked the price or maybe it would have been nice to be informed I would be paying full price for a meal without getting it. The cherry on top is we get home and start eating only to find a HAIR IN THE FOOD. How disgusting. How am I paying top dollar for this food and there is a hair in it? I won't go back here ever again. Excellent breakfast and lunch. We went several times while staying in La Quinta, CA on vacation.

My boyfriend and I were both first timers at this cute breakfast and brunch spot. We went on a Wednesday morning and it was pretty packed. They had indoor and outdoor seating, the inside was packed and there was a wait. But they greeted us and we chose to sit outside which was no wait at all. Food was absolutely delicious, I'm not a fan of fried eggs but I really liked my sandwich. I asked for crispy bacon and they gave me crispy bacon. The potato's were absolutely delicious, food over all was really good. He really liked his southwestern Benedict he ate it all :) they also had heaters outside that worked very well if you were cold. I waited outside and they came out and got me and the service was lightning fast with even more delicious food as it was my first time. I just tried Louise's Pantry for the first time and I'd equate the experience to a meal at a Denny's that's well run. Nothing special. I got the pancake sandwich because I was in the mood for a meal consisting of pancakes, egg, and meat. It was well-made but not memorable. The pancakes are rather large, but not perfect - my gripe is the bottom pancake was definitely burned underneath. Eggs had no flavor but a dash of salt remedied that issue. Service was also just okay. Host was nice but the wait staff made no efforts to make me feel welcome, just seated and served.
