5 stars on service, atmosphere and food. 6 stars on the margaritas! Dined here for a late lunch/early dinner and were welcomed by Pablo, the multi-tasking bartender, who invited us to sit anywhere. We picked a corner window table and were served immediately with cold water and the complimentary chips and salsas. The chips are fresh and dusted with a paprika/salt powder. The salsas are outstanding. One a bit spicier than the other but nearly impossible to choose a favorite. We ordered the chicken and steak fajita combination with black beans and rice with corn tortillas. The fajita arrives on a sizzling cast iron skillet with generous amounts of grilled onions and carmelized red peppers. We rounded our order out with their house guacamole. The guacamole, itself, could have used a bit more salt but the perfectly salted chips helped solve that. The margaritas are dangerously good. And the mix they use tastes fresh and house made. I loved that these were served with dehydrated lemon wheels and a sprig of thyme. Pablo took excellent care of us and we will 100% return. read more

Honestly, if I didn't have to scarf down my food in the last fifteen minutes of my lunch because the food took so long, this would be a five. There was only me and a table of four inside. The food took forever to get there. It was good, but boy did it take long to arrive. I had an hour lunch and had to chow down to hurry up and get back. I had two street tacos and a shrimp cocktail. Our 1st time dining at this restaurant, 6/22/26 Good food and good service. The server checked on us several times. We ordered the fajitas, I was impressed with the jumbo sized shrimp. But I am giving 4 stars because both male and female bathrooms did not have a Changing table for infants/toddlers. CA law requires changing tables in the bathrooms of restaurants. My daughter was unable to change her toddler during our visit. I hope this review helps to have changing tables installed in the bathrooms for future visits (for my family as well as others). read more

The location seems to be in a quiet downtown area with lots of outside street parking. Inside is plain but clean. The chips are thick and the red salsa liquidy but you do get green and red. My husband ordered the ranchero burrito, carne asada without onions. Unfortunately, there were onions. The carne asada was tasty but not amazing. I ordered the two crispy tacos plate. Again the beef was good but not great. The rice and beans were both very good. The ambiance is lacking and the service is slow but friendly. Feb 23rd 2026 about 6pm. It was not busy at all. Our fajitas were partially burnt at the bottom. We ordered beef & chicken fajitas and there was barely any beef at all, needed more chicken and it was missing the grilled tomatoes. Waitress did not ask if we wanted a new one, or offer any beef, or did not offer to take it off the bill. Restaurant is very plain inside.Nothing on the walls. Not an inviting feel to it at all. They need to put some kind of wall decor up to make it more welcoming and give that Mexican restaurant vibe. read more

I kept hearing things about this restaurant and we decided to give it a try. My husband and I both got the Tampiqueña (enchiladas with carne asada). The portions were plenty and the food was delicious! The caramelized onions were a nice touch and I appreciated they included sour cream on the plate. My usually picky toddler enjoyed the chips and salsa, agua de Jamaica and her kids taco plate. She finished most of the beans and rice!
