=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE Parker Place offers the best value for your dollar; Yaohan's food court unfortunately is not as cheap as it was before. But the food choices and quality is still there. === 2. FOOD There are a number of made-to-order dishes you can get; however, front-and-center are the pre-cooked options under heat lamps, which seems to be what nearly all patrons get. Regular prices are: - Two entree options with a choice of starch: $9.99 - Three entree options with a choice of starch: $11.99 ($9.99 after 6:00 pm) *NOTE: your choices of starch typically includes fried rice, fried soya sauce thin noodles, and white rice. You can also order round, silver takeout containers of each entree for an average price of $10 when ordering three or four entrees. The food quality is generally decent as pre-cooked options go, thanks to a decent rate of turnover. === 3. SERVICE & ENVIRONMENT As with all other shops in Yaohan: it's a takeout stand in the food court, so the service is fast and as good as you need it to be in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. The food court allows for wheelchairs and baby strollers to fit easily; the Yaohan parking lot affords for plenty of parking (during this COVID pandemic).

Great value and great tasting food. For less than 15 bucks you can choose any three items dished out to you in heaping portions on top of your choice of a mountain of fried rice or fried noodles. Enough to feed two and it comes with a complimentary soup. They even give you extra chopsticks and a small plate to share if they know you are sharing. Highly recommend the honey garlic spareribs which tasted as good as sit in Chinese restaurants! All the items I tried were tasty.

That's the place.. and the name in big written font!

You get what you pay for... you really do.. and there is a reason why there is so much, soooooo much, food leftover before closing if your buying something here to eat, or take home! We came here, my dear and I, as we were lazy, brought our self serve containers and prepared to buy two dishes to take home to eat with our greens and rice! I always wondered how these places in the food court are, and now I know exactly how they are, especially going down your stomach! The last time I have ever done takeout like this, it was at Kent's Kitchen in Chinatown, these places do not appeal to my appetite, but since we were going the cheap route, you make due with what is. When you come here just know that the next two stalls in this food court do the exact same thing, makes you wonder if they share the same kitchen? At a certain point of the day before closing prices get slashed to get rid of the over-cooking they have done and to just clear things, and there's always going to be lazy people who just take care of their needs to feed the family here. A ton of variety, from greens to proteins, all the staple dishes you would expect, from chow mein, some mixed fried rice, overly deep fried squid, sweet & sour pork, some buddha's feast dish just to name a few that I even remembered at this buffet like showing I saw. We came here with containers prepared to buy two dishes, my dear comes with these as she doesn't feel that there should be excess waste which is a good thing. After walking back and forth, left to right, right to left, we finally decided to buy from this location. It's funny to see a sign manually changed by hand, 3 bigger tin foil containers of food for $12, it will feed you and a family guaranteed. There's another one in the plaza that's a bit more expensive, makes us wonder if we should have went with them, but we decided to order a platter of sweet & sour pork, and also an order of beef brisket with bean curd and turnip. We gave our containers, they filled it, took our money, and zoom, off to home we went. Now to the dinner, for the pork, over battered, chewy, old.. well that's what it felt like.. something that been under the lamp a little too long, no sour, just sweet from the sauce, unappealing. Now for the brisket, another nice solid chewy thing, working the molars.. most definitely, the beancurd wasn't bad, a little shrivaled but really nothing to write home about.. or more like keep at home for another meal. We don't usually waste food, but I wonder where it went the next day as I didn't stay over to see round two of this meal. I wonder how this place is early in the morning when they first open, but rule of thumb, you get what you pay for, it would have been better just to have gone to a restaurant and order takeout!

The serving is a lot smaller than usual and the staff is very rude. Im going to try other outlet next time. There are 3 to choose from.

Well since I walked there, I didn't have a car. I stood around the speaker ate and no one answered. I looked through the windows and it appeared that there was only one person working in there. I waited for a few more minutes and left and walked to Subway next door. I went to Burger King the next day and they were doing construction on the roof. The noise was so loud and annoying. Then when the work stopped, there was still noise of an alarm beeping. I ordered a whopper meal. My kid got 8 pieces of chicken nuggets. He loved them. Ate them all and some of my fries. My burger tasted good. The fries were a little cool and hard, not fresh. When I got back to the hotel, I went to the toilet because I got the runs. Although my kid enjoyed the nuggets, I didn't give him the option of getting chicken nuggets for dinner from this Burger King again.

It comes out piping hot, with fresh lettuce and tomato. The chicken is crunchy and has a very spicy kick! Which is my favorite part. It's juicy and seasoned to perfection. I also love getting the chicken here. I love the seasoning for the chicken and the crispiness of the skin. The chicken meat itself is super juicy and always delicious! Service through the drive thru is always quick and efficient with a smile. A must eat every time I come to Vancouver.

FOOD In exploring the fried chicken scene in Richmond: - Popeyes has a light coating of batter, is relatively light on pepper/spice, and has marinated meat where you can taste the saline/salt. - Church's is like that of Popeyes - lighter batter, lighter on spice, but the meat itself is less marinated that what Popeyes offers. Good choice for me when Popeyes isn't readily available! It's also $0.25 cheaper per piece than that of the nearby LA Chicken. - LA would be like a mix between Popeyes and KFC - it has more pepper/spices than Popeyes with thicker batter, but smaller thighs and drumsticks. - KFC would be best for those who like a fuller set of pepper/spices, thick batter, and usually flavorful meat. === 3. SERVICE There is the handy 24/7 drive-thru service. I went inside to get a better feel for the service and it was good and fast for takeout. === 4. ENVIRONMENT This location used to be a Dairy Queen at one point and in many ways, it still is stuck as such from the late 90's or early 2000's. There is a fair amount of seating for groups of all sizes; wheelchairs and baby strollers will have no trouble fitting in except for perhaps getting to the lower seating areas. The location is optimized for drive-thru service, so parking is in the shopping lot complex across the laneway / drive-thru lane.

After seeing an Instagram post the night before , I saw one for Costco food hack , hehe. Good thing now I know just what to order ! We made a quick stop just to grab food for the road, they were super busy on a Sunday! Took awhile to get my order, but understandable . Must Order at the self check out and pretty easy to navigate There's Montreal smoked meat sandwich ( crazy me-never cross my mind to order this) chicken tenders, fries, & of course the poutine which I am curious to try for very first time. During this visit I just found out you can get a Kirkland water when you get the hot dog combo instead of pop. I ordered & did the hack, chicken tenders with fries, side gravy for only .30, side cheese curd $2.99 for nice size package , hot dog combo. Total = 13.84, lower in USD. So cheap! This hack gets you the chicken tenders, hehe. I wanted to try the caramel sundae , but too early in day for desserts but I think that's available in the states . The verdict: I tried first without the gravy & cheese curd, then added them. Either way I enjoyed my very first poutine. I really like the fries & tenders, so good for the price! I got cheese out, since that was too much cheese curd for us. All in all, great first time enjoying poutine & on our road trip back . Love it. I Can't wait to be back & now I can create my own poutine back home when I'm thinking of Canada , hehe. **We were just here exactly one week ago today, such great memories! Happy Sunday!
