I had no idea this little food court was in the ranch market because I usually go to Hmart across the street instead. I ended up here because the first cafe I went to on labor day was closed. I did not know chun yang was part of the food court until I arrived. I was delighted to find that there were tons of tables around to sit, eat, and study. There are some power outlets around the dining area if you look carefully. Upon arrival, I did walk around to see what other food options are here. When I was ready to order i had some questions since it was my first time. With the help of one of the employees, I decided to do a black milk tea with tapioca mochi. The ice level and sweetness was spot on. Although I usually like my drinks on the sweet side, their regular sweetness was good. I stayed for about 2 hours to read and noticed they have a good amount of bulk orders. Some customers come in with big bags or even coolers to pack their drinks. The employees work fast and I saw they even went above and beyond and packed some ice in the cooler for their customer. The drink and service was pretty decent so before leaving I was fine with ordering another drink to try. This time I wanted a fruit tea. I decided to get the pineapple oolong. The worker made the tea as usual but let me try it to adjust the sweetness level. We decided to add on 50% more sweetness but I do have to say their regular sweetness was also good. After trying 2 drinks, I do think they have their recipe down as their drinks were well made. Now I know another place nearby when I want refreshing boba drinks. A very decent boba place, but nothing super exceptional. Located in the food court area of 99 ranch, Chun Yang Tea is a cute little boba pitstop right behind Piju drinking. Parking is easy since it's in a large plaza for grocery store patrons. Instead of walking through the 99 ranch store entrance, I used their food hall door. I walked right inside and noticed they had 5 other food areas, though I don't recall any of them besides the bar. I walked up to the boba shop and there wasn't a cashier, only a kiosk. The bobarista was actually enjoying his meal. He quickly got up to assist me and my order. As I stood around, I watched him make my drink while looking at the decor. He made my drink fairly quickly and I was able to drink it while going grocery shopping. The green tea is decent and the boba had a good chewy consistency and size. The purple rice was very interesting and unique! It was my first time having a topping like it and it's exactly what it sounds like: rice in milk tea. Overall a decent boba spot. I arrived at Chun Yang Tea (Chino) on Tuesday (around 3:21PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE! Chun Yang Tea (Chino) is a stall in the Eat Up Food Court inside the 99 Ranch Store. Customers primarily order at the self-service kiosk. Customers can also order at the counter, but Staff speaks limited English. Staff is very hardworking and professional. My drink took about one minute. FAST!! As mentioned, I absolutely adored the Osmanthus Honey Oolong Tea ($5.99 - 30% Sugar - Quarter Ice). I had to hold back the instinct to cry tears of joy. The tea flavor is prominent, fresh, and not burnt. The liquid is honey-like, thirst-quenching, and refreshing. I absolutely LOVE this drink. I had to immediately fight back the urge to purchase another. On ambiance, Chun Yang Tea (Chino) surprised me. It's located in a foodcourt, but the location felt clean, well-ventilated, and useful. I saw several flat screen TVs playing the baseball game with English captions. Upbeat, playful music chimed. And there's a Gender Neutral restroom several feet away. In addition, the location is spacious. There's over seven nearby tables. And there's two available electrical outlets nearby the stall. However, if I had to nitpick, there's a very faint scent of the Asian grocery store in the background. It's very faint, but it's noticeable. I just loved my sister's drink so much that I wanted to add a review out of appreciation :P My sister ordered the #1 drink on the menu (had a crown next to it): Osmanthus Honey Oolong Tea, quarter ice, 30% sugar. Yes, their papaya milk slush tastes exactly like the ones in Taiwan. No adjustment needed! It is not too sweet for an asian like me. Besides papaya milk, I tried almost every category on their menu and they were all pretty good. Just let their staff know how you like your boba and they'll make it according to your preferences! I've been wanting to try this new boba spot in the area for a while but they always happen to be near closing (8pm) when I've wanted to go haha. I'm so glad I was able to try them finally! The roasted oolong tea latte with no sugar was good! I would say, the reason why this is not a 5 star shop is because the tea was slightly overpowered by the milk. Also, note to my future self: less ice was still a good amount of ice. The roasted oolong taste was there but definitely not as prevalent due to the milk ratio. Just FYI for those who are particular with milks, the use Horizon organic milk (really good quality and love that it's organic). For oat milk, they use Oatly. I came here on their soft opening day and was excited to see how they compare to the San Gabriel location. This is located in the food court area in the 99 ranch (previously Cravings). They didn't have menus available on their TV screens yet so that caused a bit of a line since people weren't able to look at drink options until they got to the cash register. The staff taking the order was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining which drinks may be sweeter to help you adjust your sweetness level. I got the Pomelo oolong (one of my favorite) with green tea jelly, kumquat lemon fruit tea, osmanthus honey oolong tea, and osmanthus honey oolong tea latte. The staff recommended the osmanthus as their popular drink so I got that out of their recommendation. The osmanthus itself is very floral in flavor so if you don't like floral drinks, I would get something else. It is also on the sweeter side due to the honey so even with 50% sweetness level, I would probably adjust it to lower. Overall all the drinks had great flavor and I liked how you can choose the types of milk options available! Overall ambiance was nice, lots of parking options available since it's inside the grocery store plaza. Seating area also readily available since there's actually not a lot of food stalls opened. My absolute favorite is the Osmanthus Oolong Tea with tapioca mochi at 30% sugar - it's perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and so refreshing. Great quality drinks and customer service. The server asked us questions which allowed him to better serve us. For example, there were different milk options and when we chose the oat milk, he suggested we try their milk that was lactose free because the tea would taste better with their milk. My wife is lactose intolerant and therefore we normally choose oat milk. I realize the server understood our situation and made a great recommendation out of it.
