We explained that we did not want a free drink coupon and asked if there could be a discount or another form of compensation for the affected meal. Rufonso told us our only options were either the drink coupon or replacing the meal. When I said we did not want the drink coupon because we do not often drink those beverages, he said there was nothing else he could do. He then took the drink coupon back and walked away with a very poor attitude. Honestly, this was the first time I have experienced such unprofessional and dismissive behavior from a manager. I have visited different Ten Ren locations before, and I have also eaten at this location several times during lunch. I have never experienced anything like this. Later, after they saw me taking photos of the food and the foreign object, they sent a trainee over to tell us they were willing to void the affected meal. While I appreciate that the meal was eventually voided, it honestly felt like this decision was only made after they noticed I was documenting the issue. The most concerning part is that this foreign object was found in my child's food. What if my child had accidentally eaten it? Food safety should be taken seriously, especially when children are involved.
