Food was really good when we stopped by here. Price wise it was pretty much in line with most Chinese food restaurants. The guy behind the counter is pretty cool and seems to always be ready to get your order started. When we got bbq ribs they were kinda burnt but everything was really good. I am amazed that I've lived in the area for years and have only seen "Chun Bo" Chinese restaurant for the first time a week ago. I decided to do what I do best and Yelp it. It's a little off William Flyod Rd., so pay attention if you decide to go. The parking lot is fine, they share with other connecting businesses. I quickly found a spot and after parking, I made my way to the restaurant. At first glance, the outside looks nice. The shopping center seemed to have a theme and it worked. Inside, I was a bit surprised, two things stood out. First, they didn't have seating so it's in and out. Second, it was a bit cluttered. This place would be a hoarders dream. At the counter, the lady who served me was friendly enough. I believe I ordered over the phone with her. She took my payment by Apple Pay and the entire staff moved quickly to get my food ready. I was also disappointed with the amount of red sauce they give you for the crab ragoons. I took my meal and went home. Now let's break it down. The crab ragoons were delicious! I enjoyed them very much, however, I wish they filled them more. Secondly was the rice. I'm not always a fan of rice, but I did enjoy theirs more than I expected. Lastly was the chicken. Happy to report I loved it, only wish they used more sauce on it. When it comes to the three Chinese restaurants in my area, this place takes the top spot. Will I go back? Answer, yes! I ordered takeout here today and I'm sorry but I almost couldn't make out a word of what she was saying over the phone. So that was the first down side. Now for the food, the food got to my house and I paid $3 over what the food costed, the food was around $13.40 and I paid I think $16.50 and the delivery driver had the audacity to say "can I get a tip?" after clearly getting one already. And lastly the food I ordered was beef and broccoli, the beef had close to no flavor it was extremely bland, to the point were the broccoli was the best thing of the dish. Today my wife decided that we should get Chinese food. I called in my order for pickup and went to pickup our food. We ordered 2 orders of boneless spare ribs with fries, one with pork fried rice, 2 orders of chicken wings with fries and a order of shrimp with vegetables. While we was eating our food my son found a piece of hair on his food. We all stopped eating and I called ChunBo and told them what was found on the food. They asked me if the hair was long and I said I don't know. I can't believe they even asked that question. I asked if there cooks use hair nets and they didn't answer my question. I tried to get a full refund for our entire order and all they said they will just redo the order of the boneless spare ribs with fries. Chun Bo has to be one the greatest, finest Chinese take out spots on the island and that's just my opinion. I used to get their half chicken with fries as a kid and always loved the customer service. There were days where I'd have some cold food, under cooked beef but 98% of the time, their food was always steaming hot and delicious. I would recommend getting the kung pao chicken with fries rice! It is to die for. And if you want a mixture of chicken and shrimp you should definitely give the Dragon and Phoenix a try! simply amazing. Been coming here for the past 12 years and they still recognize me as that little boy that used to order the same food haha. Good work guys! read more
